In order to get the brightness correct, did you use a layer with reduced opacity?

Do you mean like all the sponsorships we are adding to our racecars? if so.... you will need photoshop, and you will need a very basic understanding of how layers work. there are heaps of good tutorials floating around the net. Try looking for ones about carbon fibre hoods as that works on a similar principal to adding realistic looking text....

here is a hint.. as far as layer modes go.. layer modes tend to work only if the color is not pure black or pure white [or something close to them] here is what i mean, the background was the grey & text.. the center bar shows the original color that i used to screen/overlay/multiply.. on both dark & light colored backgrounds w/ opposite text color, hope this does something for u?

Well, you could just use the text tool in MS Paintbox...

you will have to do your text seperatly, like with the type feture in ps, or import from another picture. The you'll need to make a new layer for your pic and put the wording on that layer.

After that comes the manupulation of the writing so that it flows with the contours of the car... This is the hard bit... there are heaps of tools in photoshop like the twirl filter. As it can be hard to get the contours most people ellect to have side on shots of their cars.

then all you need to do is select overlay, the layer and you should have some awsome looking writing .... you can put anything from your own writing on the side to adverts....

If your having trouble with the writing in photoshop (cant locate the write feature) or prefer fonts that you only have availabe in say MS word, write what you want there and take a screen dump, then ps you screen dump to transfer wrting into your pic.... hope that helps....

It's not perfect, obviously
I spent most of the time making the body (used parts from 6 other cars or so). Today I did the livery. (yes, I know, I don't have anything better to do, ha. But hey, can I at least enjoy my last weeks before college starts )
Actually I interpreted the theme more focused on bodywork. After all, just the paintjob was the theme of the last comp.
Anyway I've been looking at this bloody thing so long that I've named every damn pixel An outsider's opinion is always interesting, isn't it.

I still don't really got the hang of making the brightness/contrast so "clean" (like DOR and other do). I've experimented with the histogram and stuff (like in the tutorial of pixelju.... (eh... what?) ) but... can't manage...


P.S. I forgot to paint the mirrors... (but I DID add some sort of reflection, hehe)

JGTC or super GT as it's now called has 2 power classes that race at once, 500Hp and 300Hp class.... hence GT300 and GT500....
