Yeah I expected there to be a lot of stuff I don't know. Let's say it's GT500, how would it be called (since there's a "GT" in the model name already)?

damn ... the body mod itself is so awesome
and all those decals are very good as well
how many hours have you spent on it?

Melaneimoon that well good. 👍 very nice indeed.

A lot... I think 7 hours or so for the body could be realistic. But it's an estimate.
But I'm sure there are many tricks I don't know of that'd make things easyer.

It is a pitty though that the livery makes the body shape less aparent. I mean, the body is more impressive on the blank photo, but you can't really have a race car with no livery, can you :P. I put quite some consideration into it though. I think this is a good compromise (interesting livery vs. visibility of the body).

Thanks.

Slightly off topic, i'm wondering 2 things:
Do you guys (and/or girls) know Asahi?
Does anyone suspect me to be japanese?

ASAHI = Japanese appliance brand, and yes all though i do suspct you are japanese but probably by heritage. :D

Nice work Mel, where'd you chop the widebodykit from? the GTO could run in either class, but id put my money on the GT500 class. Oh and you forgot the victory ballast stickers :D

Ahem...
The grills come from the Mitsubishi Super Rally Car
The lower part of the front bumper is from the Mine's Skyline
The Black front wing is from the Motul Pitwork, and so is the window.
The wide wheel housings and the vents and handles on the hood are from the BMW Msomething Race Car. The upper horizontal parts (with the red tow thing) are also from this car).
Ehm... From the Spoon (don't know the name... the most right on the list, that comes in white, silver and black) I used the wide part behind the front wheels, the bottom of the side, the small vent in front of the rear wheel, and the black thingy all the way on the back.
Then there's the main rear vent (for the brakes I suppose) and the fuel gate that come from the Mobil 1 NSX (I wanted to use this car for more things, but it didn't work out).
That, and a whole lot of sculpting :P

And last (and yes, also least), there's a part of a rollcage inside that comes from the BMW Touring Car, but didn't work out quite as well as I hoped.

FINAL ENTRY #2

this one is MUCH better than my other one...

EDIT:

heh, might as well....
FINAL ENTRY #3

no one else is commenting on mine, so I will!

I like my own usage of the clouds (fog) and the headlamps. Personally Tux holds a special place in my heart thats why the first one is so wonderful!

Asahi makes ビール (beer!) mmm. So Melaniemoon, are you japanese, or a student of japanese culture, or an english teacher in japan? etc etc..

あなたのさしんはとてもすごいです。

p.s. Don't bust my chops about my butchering of the japanese language. I am still learning. hehe 👍

p.p.s. I think you're japanese and your last name is Ueda.

Hehe. The clouds on #3 are cool, they look like rain. It would be awesome to see these typical raindrops splashing on the ground, but that'd be pretty hard to do.

haha! i forgot that they make beer too! Asahi here in the philippines is an appliance manufacturer

Hey there's a mistake in the photo with the original and the body. The original has a completely black headlight section, I made it white. I know some types already have colored sections but I didn't have one in white :irked:

Speedy, ありがとうございます。私はベルギーからきました。

Ok its my first time taking it this far, but here it is....I went with a drag racing look.

What do ya think for a first timer? :dopey:

original..

Ohhh vr6gt, thats sooo beautifull:drool:

Edit: hey, you might be a able to blur the back a bit more. The spoiler thingie isn't blurred at all, so it kinda looks weard:scared:

But it's so beautifull nevertheless

Syntax error
you will have to do your text seperatly, like with the type feture in ps, or import from another picture. The you'll need to make a new layer for your pic and put the wording on that layer.

After that comes the manupulation of the writing so that it flows with the contours of the car... This is the hard bit... there are heaps of tools in photoshop like the twirl filter. As it can be hard to get the contours most people ellect to have side on shots of their cars.

then all you need to do is select overlay, the layer and you should have some awsome looking writing .... you can put anything from your own writing on the side to adverts....

If your having trouble with the writing in photoshop (cant locate the write feature) or prefer fonts that you only have availabe in say MS word, write what you want there and take a screen dump, then ps you screen dump to transfer wrting into your pic.... hope that helps.... :)

Thanks mate... falcons yours for the taking, i still gotta finish the line, few stickers still missing and i'm stuck at work atmo....

Thanks a bunch, ill give it a shot on my Zonda on the next Photoshop, whenevr it is, and whatever the theam is.

wow ... nice work VR6
even more bad@ss than Toad's version (Tshirt compo)

Melaneimoon
@ Melaneimoon, Awesome work going on there. I too added wider arches, lowered both the sideskirts and the front.... but yours is truly impressive.👍

Thanks

SWEET! You have my vote. 👍 👍
It's as if I can hear the sound just by looking at it.
I think flames from the front would also look great on it.
Do you by any chance still have the image without the text in it (just the body)? I'd like to play around with it.

One with flames (yellow and red, making it evil and german, hehe), no text and black / red rims would be awesome. But not as racing car ofcourse.

No...not with the wing and bumpers removed...I was flattening it as I went along. I didnt think it was going to turn out well so I wasnt planning ahead.

I see. It's ok, the text doesn't seem too hard to remove.
(btw, I added a bit to my last post after you quoted).
Anyway don't get me wrong, I think your entry is perfect. 👍

PS: I'll go count the layers I had when doing the livery ^^
