Further explanation of the theme: Put any car on a dirt or snow track that you would usually NEVER see on it.

This was hard to choose as some of the entries in this where good shots but in my opinion didnt really fit the theme take the Volvo and 2CV shots they are good but aren't really unusual rally cars as I have seen loads rally. So I voted for the Nike2022 closely followed by the Audi. Good luck to everyone!

Yeah, most of us really missed the theme this week. My shot is a fantasy car which misses the idea. And the 2CV, come on, it was designed for gravel roads. And the PAO, being a FF car with presumably no power steering should be ok on gravel and snow. And the Audi is a 4WD. From GT4, the best pick would have been any high tuned FR car with 18+ rims as those usually are horrible on gravel even with modern electronics.

Well, at least they had non paved roads in mind, if not exactly gravel. Anyway your shot did make it in the poll so all good. I think there was just some big confusion about what was meant with the theme.

Ow I thought mine actaully had a small chance of winning with my Monaro after Atlop voted for it. But I suppose the Audi (Cough that was made with 4 wheel drive and was happened to call a quattro which was a rally car) is going to win. I tried. About the 2CV though it was made to travel across farmers fields with basket with eggs on the seat of the car without breaking any. That was the design brief for the 2CV.

No not really. Unless you are really quite thick. I was only saying that as....actually I don't know why I said that. No doubt about it it is probably the best shot but I didnt vote for it (D'oh why do I always vote fot the things that lose!). It is very clean and much better than mine but there again what did you expect from me (ah ha a rubbish shot thats what you expected). Any way well done

Voted for the 1st pic.

I saw this as a comp to show a car rallying, a car that looked really out of place, and that had no way of ever being picked as a rally car, and as such, Nike got my vote. Awesome angle and sense of 3D in it.

Although some of the entries that made the poll are really good shots, most of them are cars that were actually used on lots of rally events throughout the world, even the Dakar and gravel rally (2CV).

Purely by the looks, the Audi TT would have got my vote, but because of what I mention above, and the fact that it's on tarmac on that specific shot, well... it didn't. But it's a beatiful shot, and the semi-transparent blur really makes it stand out from the rest, on what refers to eye-catching shots.

The 2nd from last pic looks really good too.

no, but, i wouldnt go rallying in an evo or a sti either ... i wouldnt have gone with the 2cv had i known it was designed for gravel roads. doh!
