Well I know what you mean with the non-race/rally 'concept' cars (that are called like that in the game. Although there's still the annoying Ford GT phenomenon).suzq044
But that expansion is pretty vague. Too vague IMO. How am I supposed to know which cars are non-production?
But note that the Nike (which doesn't say "concept") got entered before that expansion....

Yes, I agree. But since both models look the same, as I mentioned, all we can do is take the user's word for it that it in fact is the Mazda6 Concept that is won in the Beginner Hall FF Challenge.suzq044

i dont know if im right....but i dont think that is a concept because the concept has different rims than the regular version...im not sure but also the concept has a different fuel cap....to bad we cant see that part.....lol

i am looking at it right now, that is the concept car. The plate of the production car says "mazda", the concept says "mazda6". Therefor, the entry must be valid, its without A doubt a CONCEPT car.

you're wrong.. the mazdaspeed 6 says mazda on the plate, both mazda6 5-door and mazda6 concept 01 have Mazda6 on the plates.. trust me, i was sitting there for like an hour trying to differentiate between the two physically [lookin @ the dealer]

non-production means a car that wasnt actually mass-produced.. a one-off sorta deal.. like the lenno car.. not a mcLaren, which was limited production.. that a little less confusing?

i can prove it, only the concept has the sunroof, you can check, i just bought one and photo-travled it, only the concept car will have the sunroof, proving the entry valid.

The entry itself was valid. I checked out both cars in the dealership and they are both identical. Same everything including the fuel filler door. Yes, even the wheels are the same as are the license plates front AND back. So, there was no way to tell if the entry was the 2001 concept car or the 2003 production model.
HOWEVER, the entry was eliminated because the user made it known the entry in question was his and therefore broke the anonimity rule.
Rules are rules.
Cool debate though.

People people. If those cars are THAT similar, what the heck does it matter if it's the concept or not?? 
Nope. I know what "non-production car" means. My confusion is that GT4 doesn't say weither a car is production or not. So the only way to tell is to simply "know" it. Sure I can guess some (like the Nike and the Leno). But with 700< cars in the game, I don't think a restriction should be based on guessing, or non-GT4 knowledge (things that aren't mentioned in GT4). I mean, if I would base restrictions on non GT4 distinctions, I would in fact prepare a list with all elligible cars (cars that comply with the restriction you can't tell with only GT4).

well mel' i think next time i might just have to do that.. this time, i'm pretty sure most people know what cars they see every day when they drive.. and which ones they dont.. [most gt4 ppl are also car-nerds.. like myself]

Oh I don't think all the cars I don't see every day are elligible. I mean... there's over 700 of them, surely there are many cars in there that ARE production but that you DON't see everyday.
I'd just like to suggest theme choosers to make restrictions that are clear/easely accessable to non-car-nerds too, you know.

that is quite awkward, and i must say, with 2 hrs. left, ppl need to submit entries. I quite like the range stormer, heavy little bugger, but its cool for rally, just so modest, and still mean
