PM sent to Der Alta.

2.1 seconds difference between the setups for me.

*Devils Advocate Mode*

And in the real world most race engineers would give body parts for a 2/10ths a lap gain, over the course of a ten lap race that's a clear 2 seconds advantage. Look at it in F1 terms (say 60 laps) and that's 12 seconds. That sort of gain wins races.

*Devils Advocate Mode Off*

Indeed, though that 2/10ths gain came after another 60-odd km driving, so it's conceivable that if I'd simply stuck with the baseline setup I might have gained the same 2/10ths simply by driving better.

I'm not having a go at either of the setup providers here; I'm aware that outright laptime doesn't mean a lot to this exercise. It's been enlightening to me in any case, reinforcing my own thoughts on what does what in terms of GT4 tuning.

I've got notes completed for one car, now heading to the other to refresh the memory. Won't be 'War & Peace', though.

What time do you guys want these at on Friday? If its in the evening (for pacific time zone), I could probably do some testing at TM or Midfield (I would prefer TM due to its less perfect surface, letting the whole setup be tested)

I have yet to drive the Caterham, so would be interesting for me to fiddle with it some finally.

Have you read the thread. You get given 2 setups to compare at Midfield. No driving at TM. And no fiddling with them.

You mis understood me Daan on the fiddling. I just meant driving the car around and seeing how I like it. My bad on using fiddle that way.

Ahh, sorry, I did read the first few pages, and saw

Car & Track
The car will be a modified and tuned Caterham Seven Fireblade running at Trial Mountain (possibly Midfield as an alternative).

After reading through a few pages and seeing the discussion on Midfield vs TM, I figured Scaff would have changed his original post.

And yes, I am aware of the premise of getting PMed two separate setups and seeing which one you like more. As I do not have time today to fid... erm, test them, I was wondering what the dead line is for submitting comments and thoughts.

Sorry for the confusion.
