Audemard Those comparisons are ok but the gt4 pic your using is very outdated the track looks much better now

Id say gt4's looks quite a bit better, not bad for the old ps2

One thing GT does very well is reflect the un off the track, that makes a whole world of difference.

nurb isn't the most dazzling track in GT4. I'd go with Hong Kong, Costa D'Amalfi or Citta di Aria (sorry if I mispelled them) to showcase the graphics.

To be fair this wouldnt have started unless people chose to post crappy pics of gt4 and compair them to the forza nurb shots

its a shame the forza devs couldnt have done a bit more with the hardware they have.......

PD could have made GT4 so much more, but they stuck to their guns. oh well, the game is great anyhow.

If forza can even hang with GT4, it's already proven it's worth, right? no need to pick em apart anymore. just enjoy them.

Depends i havent tuned a gt40 yet, though seeing as a stock mclaren f1 can do 240 mph i dont think its totally impossible for insanely tuned gt40 too do 280mph on a really long straight track like the test course

No. It would be totally impossible, it would no longer be a Ford GT after the modification that would have to be done. Aero wise it's impossible for that car to do near 300 mph, power wise it's impossible for that car to do 300mph. It's just not realistic, would never happen, could never happen. The car would either get airborn or there would just be too much drag and not enough power to go that fast.

And I've been looking through quite alot of photos of various race series' at Laguna and I've only seen maybe one or 2 photos that have grass, the rest is gravel or dirt

Not to mention, how it was said Forza is more "cartoony"

As far as track realism too, one word. "Hmmmmmm"

Forza isn't the one that looks cartoony to me.

What are you trying to prove? the only diffrences are forza has 3d rims, and the gt4 car has better reflections oh and why have you adjusted the brightness levels so high on the gt4 pic?? its very obvious

It would be nice if you could compare to GT4 in game because photomode totally blows forza away. The lighting is just all off, its like you are looking at a computer game and not a photo.

Yeah I dunno if you noticed but this thread is about GT4 vs Forza...not Nurb Vs nurb.

As for the car renders, the GT4 render looks rediculously artificial. I've never seen a show car outside of a black one reflect that many things so clearly.
Not to mention factory paint jobs are hardly ever THAT glossy.

And if you want to get picky, the inconsistencies in the turn signal lense colors, the fact that RX8's tinting isn't mirror tint, and you can see brake rotors in the Forza render and you see old 45 type records in the GT4 render

The nurb on Gt4 certainly looks closer to the real thing...but not better. It's just a heap load more detailed tbh in forza, or so it seems.

Forza uglier than GT4... who knows... if it is, I don't give a ****. Both images are pre-renders and do not represent the actual quality during gameplay, which is the only thing that counts. By the way I don't even have an X-Box so don't call me a forza fanboy. I just think people need to stop looking at pre-renders.
