First splits:

T1: 0`25.632
T2: 0`57.622

I'm off sick today and lying down in front of the PS2 is quite relaxing so hopefully heaps to come 👍

I guess I should admit I"m now trying to use a DFP. The Jury is still out on that one!

gtbadboy,

Once you get used to the DFP, you should be faster than you were with the DS2. Here are the DFP settings that were recommended to me by sjaak68:
Active Steering: Off
Steering Type: Pro
Power Assist: Off
Feedback Strength: Mild
Leave the power cord for Force Feedback Unplugged!

Alrighty..

T1: 25.008
T2: 55.985

Had a faster time yet (55.7xx Range), but I checked the replay hoping I didn't see what I did...that I nicked the tunnel at T1. :grumpy: Oh well. :indiff:

Cheers,
Jetboy

👍 SUPER IDEA Guys! Handicapping the divisions is a great motivation....it has awakened me from my winter slumber. Real nice tight car selection also.....tons of fun to drive!👍

Well, so far I'm running:

T-1= 25.628
T-2= 57.079

Div 2....Driving Force (DF) Wheel

I know there's a lot of places to improve....let me see if I can find them.💡

I dont think I can better it much more from this point, but still see a small bit there

25.145
55.617

Why you use without Force Feedback? This way are unable to feel what the car is doing. I prefer to use it on strong 👍

GJ Baker and GPKart:

I've tried it all plugged up and will give it ago with GJ's suggestion. After all it was sjaak who got me running a manual tranny last month and he certainly runs some nice times. Sooooooo we'll give it a shot eh?

Ultimately it's whatever one is comfortable with and if it makes me more competative......so be it.

25.179
56.264

great combo,a real classic.👍

I'm curious what the last sector can bring with the more HP.
I hope more speed.:D

Then again you have to shoot those aliens in the knee to go by them.👍

Great splits Sjaak 👍

So far I'm at.. 25.322 / 56.486

Seen a 56.2 and I've had a lap .2 faster but dirty, so I won't be giving up this week until I can get my target and maybe more.
Could be an interesting week.

I'm struggling:

T1: 0`25.642
T2: 0`57.251

I'm on 280 gearing...any other D1's got better ideas?

not having too tough of a time of it. it took me a minute to accept the fact that us normal D1 racers are stuck between a rock and a hard-on  anyway, atleast i'll beat somebody (hopefully) 👍

25.520
56.513

you're not struggling man, you're actually doing quite well. a good bit of advice would be to compare yourself to other racers of your calibre and not the elite division 1 racers. you'r time is pretty respectable man. seriously. just keep at it and shoot for the 56's on t2 👍

i'm on 280 gearing myself but you might also want to try 290.

I'm honestly using 300. I thought 290 ran out of steam before the first turn. How are you guys surviving?? :odd:

In Div one Corey we are running 431hp and 280 is just about ok with less power 👍

some new splits:

25.600
56.335

i ain't goin' down without a fight :grumpy:

hmmm... quick comparison of second sectors:
Mr P: 30.741
Me: 30.735

i'm starting to pick up a few subtle things here and there but it's good to know i have sector 2 pretty dialed in, when i can make it up and around the hill that is. i'm on the trail of sector 1 and 3 though. hopefully i can draw within .750 of ron by the time it's all said and done 👍

Good to see you kept at it mate ;) 👍

.. oh btw!! ... you are comparing against my splits from last night :sly:

down to 25.186 / 55.701 :P

GPkart you are flying man :scared:

I don't think i have it in me to beat this but i'll keep trying and trying. ;)

T1 - 25.472
T2 - 56.696

This is all I got in me!

T1: 0`25.679
T2: 0`57.106

I'm submitting already cos I doubt I'll have the time to try beating this one 👍

sorry, wrong splits last post

25.426
56.286

i can't even read my own handwriting. isn't it enough that i'm ugly?? does my penmanship have to suck also??

.. oh btw!! ... you are comparing against my splits from last night :sly:

don't worry mate, i'm not off in la-la land pretending to be your equal or anything  regardless of how crap those splits of yours might be now, they still look pretty good to me and duplicating your second split on that old rag was enough for me to get a bit of a lift. i hope you don't mind :sly:

Can't worry about you big boys yet. I'm finding a tick here and there and for now that's okay...........yea right! You're not buying that are you??

26.350
58.578

that's what it's all about man. keep finding them ticks. it's best if you play for 4 or 5 hours in a row. then you will start to see what you're looking for as far as improvement. atleast 4 or 5 hours a day for atleast 2 years. then you'll start seeing those ridiculous times at the top of the leaderboard 👍

just saw a 56.055 t2 but scapped it. that's it for tonight. fastest clean was:

25.528
56.201

that was one hell of a session but atleast now i know exactly what i need to do everywhere on the track to hit my goal. time to hit the rack. laters.

Oh wow this looks like a great week. hopefully i can find some time for this one. it is the 100th race after all.

The settings are right but I do race plugged, only on certain cars or tracks I unplug.👍
Though I always use the wheeltrick for an even milder FF.
That's writen in the manual with goes along in the box btw.

I've only been able to get down to

0'25.698
0'56.293

unplugged, & I don't think there's much more in it, so it looks like I'll have to try plugging the wheel back in to try to catch RO_JA.

Second run at this:

25.238
56.350

I've had a few 25.0xx's and some better last sectors.....
