lap finally below my magic mark!

gearing @ 300, still on auto :nervous: and no aids off course

slightly philosophical question for you lot: is your experience also that you hit your fastest lap in the first lap of a session? sometimes it almost feels like there is some means of steering/braking aids that pd programmed in ...

On another note, I'm hitting about two car lengths ahead, but keep stuffing it in the switchback before T1. :banghead:

Cheers,
Jetboy

25.265 / 55.605 :sly: 👍

seen 25.160 and 55.537 but with a silly last turn by being too cautious :ouch:

Yep I have been using 290 also its perfect ;) 👍
But of course! That's why I suggested it on the first page! :sly: Hahaha, then again, I did say 300 might be better... But I haven't played for a while...
As this is the 100th race, I will find wherever the PS2 is, plug it in and post up some splits:)
Good to hear! 👍

Thanks James.👍

Got some new splits:

25.065
55.979

this is the craziest leaderboard i have ever seen with div1 and div3 all over the place :) so i DO like the handicap system that jerry concocted, but then again :grumpy: 'cos i definitely cannot find the space to catch up on ro_ja let alone DJ not to mention jetboys who is surely div1 material ...
a sec or 1.5 could be thinkeable for me to gain but surely no more. considering that this is my top 1 track i should do better :scared:

Saw a 24.849 for T1, but stuffed it on the downhill Mountain Twist. I'm really beginning to hate that turn.. :banghead:

Cheers,
Jetboy

Latest from me....

T1 25.240
T2 56.281

Left a lot of time in the hairpin by Yosemite Lodge. :grumpy:

Got to go for a run now, but might come back to this later on! :)

I commend you for your skills in typing under the influence, I actually understood most of that. :P

I can't seem to beat my time, I just had a 25 lap session and only got within .3 of my fastest lap. I know I can go faster but i can't put a full lap together, this is starting to become frustrating... I'll keep at it though.

i was just thinking the second split time really isn't saying much this week.

@ div 2 and 3 racers, think how fast the last sector is and how much that extra power of your will play into it.

again, doesn't matter to me, i'm racing ren-tec. i'm just saying you have a real good shot of catching the guys in faster classes in that fast last sector. my advice in that last sector:

Bridge: brake early and power out of the bridge. don't wait for the turn to come to you because it will be too late to stroke the apex properly. you don't want to be lifting on the way out of that turn.

double apex right: the key here is to brake early from way outside left and cut into the turn. again, you don't want to wait for the turn to come to you because then you will have to lift on the exit and that's going to kill you. it's best to use less brake than more until you find the fastest speed you can enter the turn and drive out with a good line.

little hill right quick left to straightaway combo: full blast from far left leading into the hill, cut as far to right as you can going up the hill then as soon as you crest, lift off the throttle (lift, not brake) and cut it in as tight to the inside left as you can. this can be done 125mph or more. as with the other two turn sections in the last split, timing is key. you can't turn to late or you'll get spit way out leading into the straight. the more speed you can hold leading into the straightaway the better (obviously). it's an extra .3 or more if you can make the turn leading to the straightaway at good speed without braking.

Edit:

that made my head hurt so somebody better imrpove thier last sector with it. that's what i get for trying to drink myself into the emergency room last night.

Used it and chipped .62 off my final. ;) Thanks mate. Splits will be up in about 4 hours, cause I'm at school and forgot to bring my timeslip with me. :ouch:

Edit: Just remembered my new splits.

T1: 25.300
T2: 55.962

290 Gears and R3 rears. ;)
Cheers,
Jetboy

Still running on div.3 power? :odd:

I totally agree with that Sjaak 👍 ... Jetboys is no D3 driver and with all these horses at his disposal it is like putting it on a plate for him :yuck:

the no replay device situation is a big factor I guess in his promotion ... but when I am beat by .5 of a second by a D1 or D2 driver running in a D3 car I wont be impressed in the slightest ;)

Nothing we can do until next week about fixing this error but I guarantee the next handicap race he wont be running a D3 car! Get that replay device jetboys and show us how good you really are :sly:

Any lap time that Jetboys submits to the WRS will not be placed on the official results table. This means that his time won't be competing for a div 3 placement or even an overall win because his time will be posted below the result tables and therefore will have no bearing on the official results. In OLR terminology, he is ghosting from now on.

The reason why I have refused to promote Jetboys is because he lacks a replay device. If Jetboys gave me the slightest of hints that he may get a replay device then I would've promoted him in an instant. Sadly no hint was forthcoming and therefore he stays in div3.
