I can't seem to beat my time, I just had a 25 lap session and only got within .3 of my fastest lap. I know I can go faster but i can't put a full lap together, this is starting to become frustrating... I'll keep at it though.

I know the feeling. I've had some remarkable splits but my best final is with mediocre split times.......by over a second!! T1's in the low 25's and T2's in the very low 58's and high 57's and then I stuff it somewhere between the bridge and the line. :banghead:

Somebody get me a gun..........oh, wait a minute, I have a gun. I have a lot of guns!! I fear my 60" plasma may be in jeapordy before this week is over. Either that or I get back on my "meds!"

Nothing we can do until next week about fixing this error but I guarantee the next handicap race he wont be running a D3 car! Get that replay device jetboys and show us how good you really are :sly:
I fully intend to. ;) You can get these things at RadioShack, right? (I'm plotting for post-Prom financing. Alliteration alert! ) But, as Sphinx said, for now I'm just ghosting about for, really, no apparent reason other than for comparison. Once I get the device I'll submit every replay from this week up until I own the device, not that it matters, but yeah. 👍 I'm going to go attempt picking up that .5 that's laying about at T1. :dopey:

Edit:
T1: 25.065
T2: 55.716

Saw a 55.595 for T2 and then nudged the bridge right before turning. :banghead:

Cheers,
Corey

If you're serious about getting one and in the mean time just using this for comparision, then would it not be better for you to forget the div3 hp limit and go for something a bit more challenging in this weeks race?

Couldn't have said it any better :sly: ... lets see dem apples Jetboys ;)

I'll take you up on that challenge...;)

There goes 45 hp.

D3 leaderboard didn't look right to me, knowing I stated I was trying to catch RO_JA's 56.696 T2 when I posted my last splits. Apparently I had a dyslexic moment. My splits should have been
0'25.689
0'56.923.
Sorry! :dunce:

Since then I've tried the posted suggestions of plugging the Force Feedback back in on my wheel (Thanks!), but I've only managed to get down to
025'481
0'56.743,
so RO_JA still has me covered for now. I'll definiltely be giving it another go before the deadline though.

Well, it was about as I expected. I'm not returning with my tail tucked between my legs, but you gentlemen in the Division One are doing quite the commendable performance with that car and keeping ahead of what now feels like the monster I drive. I will admit, however, that with the D1 Car, I'm much more consistant. I'm hitting right now 25.3' T1's and mid 56 T2's, with a lot less airborne/ wheelspin performances at Mouintain Twist. I'll keep this up; I want to prove my worth. :mischievous:👍

Cheers,
Corey

new splits:

25.227
56.159

last sector was pure smoke. don't know if i could ever duplicate it. however, that 56.156 t2 included awful timing on my trail brake going into the short chute to the bridge.

DJ: tried unplugging and sheeeeeesh real loooooosey gooooosey. I can see where it might help in certain situations but not for me, and not here. It's great when the wrists are giving me a hard time but I really like that feed back.

Embarrassed to post any more of my splits so I'll just file them with Jerry either Sunday or Monday..........unless lightening strikes!

Gentlemen of Division One: I am among the best drivers of this planet Earth, and it is safe to say, I am not of your calibre. You all contain an eerie smoothness I yet cannot touch, and will not be able to for many months yet to come. You all by far have my greatest respect as roadracers. In short, I'm getting my ass handed to me. I dunno what you're doing, what you're taking, or what adrenaline system you are all working upon, but I want it. :D

Best Clean Lap Splits in a D1 Machine
T1: 25.436
T2: 56.745

Time to join the scrum. Remodeling bathroom so I can't spend too much time on the ps2 :scared: But I gave it a quality hour and a half. Hopefully some time will appear on Monday. Til then...

25.571
56.143

And one side note, I really like how the results are shaking out. As I stated before, this could revolutionize the game 👍

Unplugged has worked better for me more often than not, but admittedly I have managed to go a little bit quicker this week with it plugged in. It's a lot more tiring plugged in though, & it shakes up my beer something terrible. :sly: From now on I think I'll get as much out of each week as possible unplugged then give it a go plugged in to see if I can squeeze a little more out of it.

A bit gutted here as I beat my best save by .100 at the line last night with a 25.128 / 55.737
which means I have left a good .300 - .500 on the track

I will race again tonight and tomorrow because I would like to have the 55.5 in my best save :ill:

Great splits being posted guys ... keep at it 👍

:banghead: Once again, hit some nice splits last night but can't bring it home.

DJ, Youv'e hit on a very good point. I think I need to start drinking beer and turn off the force feedback. 💡 I've been using all that shaking to keep my bourbon and ice properly mixed and chilled. I don't mind switching to beer but what do I do with the half gallon of "Woodford Reserve" I have on the bar??:ouch:

FYI: Plasma still safe for now.👍

AAArgh...had my my first sub-25 T1 (24.954) and then got so giddy I blew the top of the hill and the turns at the bottom so got a T2 exactly .300 slower (55.912). Oh well

Well keep trying, I dont have it in me to beat what I have. It's a freakishly fast lap. (for me)

Don't expect any better times from me for the next day... My girl and I were in a car accident. Everything's fine, and it wasn't my fault. Girl without a license/ permit hit my vehicle on my side of the road, and consequently tried to take off.. I chased them (Her BF in the car too) cornered them, cops involved, listed as a Hit-and-Run offense.. I took 5 pics of each vehicle for insurance...all the good stuff. Like I said, everyone's fine, I'm just really shaky.

Cheers,
Corey

i can't figure out how i'm still behind. i'm hitting the NOS coming out of every turn. should i be hitting it in the straights as well??

FYI: Plasma still safe for now.👍
Well that's good to hear, don't want things to get too expensive for ya...

FE, I think someone sabotaged(sp?) your car while it was in the pits, so even though you're hitting the nitrous, it's not actually being injected into the engine because they pulled the jets out of your intake.

I'll do a few laps in a bit.

forgive my ignorance but there's NOS in Time Trial and we are allowed to use it? news to me :embarrassed: no wonder i'm only doing 58 splits :sly:

i sincerely apologize for interrupting this week's thread but the steward closed the week 98 thread after getting the last word and left me with a few questions i'm curious about.

mostly, if i got DQ's for fitting NOS and it could have been reversed if somebody had taken the 5 minutes to review and see i didnt actually use it, why didn't the steward take the time to make that determination when he viewed the run?? at the least, why didn't he mention that if he didn't want to bother, somebody else could. it seems like an awfully flippant attitute towards disqualifying somebody who put all that time into a run.

also, why can't i just remove my name from the official results page? it's my name is it not? since the stewards will not bother to look at the replay again, to reverse my DQ, can he not even remove my name from the results?

lastly, the steward has suggested that the only real course of action i should have taken was to apologize for "STEALING" the gold medal of Jake73 with what is becoming an increasingly dramatic flair. what i don't understand about that is that if there was no infraction if i never actually used the NOS, how would that have been "STEALING" somebody's gold.

in closing, i once again apologize to everybody in here for interrupting the thread and i honestly don't know what will come of this as the steward here is apparently hell bent on interpreting every single post i make as some act of agression towards him and this series. all i really want at this point is for people to know i didn't cheat. that's it. i'm not asking for anybody to "accomidate" me, i just want my name off the official week 98 results because when people see "FinaL ExaM: DQ NOS Fitted", they are not going to take the time to find out if i used it or not, they are just going to assume i'm some scumbag who USED NOS, perhaps the steward here does not care whether or not that happens, but i honestly do not believe i'm asking for him to be unusually accomidating to remove my name from the unofficial results page to avoid it.

Well, I know that there's absolutly no reason to re-check your run - since a driver is able to use the nos without us actually being able to detect it. Very short bursts don't even make the hissing sound, and if you keep the usage to less than an 1/8th of the tank (we can see the nos in 1/8th increments, so using less than that won't let us see it), it's really undetectable - but it can still chop off precious tenths.

although i would debate that fact since every time i've ever pressed it even for a split second, i heard a distinct hiss, it doesn't matter because at this point i really don't care if my run counts.

what i DO care about is that my name is removed from the results page because as i think whomever reads it will just make the immidiate assumption that i used it. without reading all of the details in the thread.

EDIT: nevermind, at this point i would just like to end this 100% by saying the bottom line is that whether or not i used the NOS or whether or not the wrs steward obviously has a personal problem with me, it was a boneheaded mistake i made to even fit the NOS. again, i only accidentally fitted it and anybody who has been in GT OLR more than a few years knows there is no way i would ever actually cheat in any way. as a matter of fact, i'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that the steward himself would be the first to tell you he KNOWS i never hit the NOS without even looking.

if i never fitted the NOS, none of this would have happened that's the bottom line regardless of how the steward handled it. if people want to think i cheated because it says i fitted NOS on my car, then so be it. this has gotten way to frustrating and ridiculous and it's because of my own careless error. sorry for the inconvenience to everybody here.

FE(I won't talk to you if I accept that you're Max) said that it COULD NOT BE REVERSED EVEN IF SOMEONE DETERMINED THAT YOU DID NOT USE IT, because you had it fitted to the car. So stop going on about that. I just read his post, and I found that perfectly clear.

I don't see a problem with him dropping your name from the results post, but anyway, drop it already. We know you didn't cheat. You just made an error, and it cost you, **** happens, leave it.

Meanwhile, I decided to do some drag racing last night to keep working on taking the title away from Kenny, so I didn't do any runs at this.

Did a few laps to just drop my T2 a bit, will have some decent time to play tomorrow morning as I don't work.

T1: 25.443
T2: 56.722

"Lots" more to come.

And Jerry! I just watched the video for this week... AWESOME! Haha, it's like it's saying the Astra is the best car in the game, and it's alllllll about the Astra being better than the others. Kickass. 👍 👍

Even if you hadn’t used the damn NOS, the DQ would still stand because you had it fitted. Using the damn NOS is irrelevant in this situation.

The reason I didn’t check to see if you had used NOS was because I trust you to the point that the thought to check your replay for any use of NOS never even entered my head. I therefore deleted the replay and posted my findings. By this time I have to admit that I had reached my limit in tolerance regarding yourself. So when you replied asking to make it clear that you hadn’t used the damn NOS, I felt that my accommodating nature had come to an end with you and stated in public that I wasn’t prepared to upload the damn replay again to check the damn thing. I know you never cheated, I don’t need to check your replay to know that, I trust you, I always have in that regard.
