This whole place will improve any one at driving in this game. When I first came here long long ago (relatively speaking... well, 2.5 years ago) I was bottom of Div 2. I was only good at driving a few cars, and struggled alot with Race cars...
With the limited time I have recently, its been hard for me to submit much these days, but I typically run a few laps anyhow. Last week I would have one div 2 if I hadn't forgot to save my replay >.>; (And had been home to submit). This one I am doing okay on, but I am hardly a fan of these sorts of cars or Super Softs (which I feel we use more often since Sphinx came in), too much grip.
One thing I can say do is fiddle with everything in the game gtbadboy, and th other Div3 members. Go slide cars around, drive on sim tires and sports alot, and so on. I started GT3 wanting to drift, and it still influences how I drive with late, late, late breaking and generally letting the car's back end come out a bit. And read some stuff about racing lines - I've found going deeper into a hairpin and taking a late apex is much better than the typical "middle of the corner" apex. And drive without your ghost on a few times. I rarely have mine on, as it allows me to focus more on the driving and less on sticking to the ghost, which lets me try new braking points and such.
The other big thing is watch other people's replays... you'll see what you do different and such.
But yup, keep at it and you improve. And the WRS has introduced me to some of my favorite cars, like the Opel Speedster, and lets you get better at driving everything in general.
Now on the course this week... whats the trick to the two turns after the last big tunnel (the massive sweeper turner)? I have trouble being at all consistent through there.
