Hope I have more time for this one than the last, shocking time I submitted there...

Good combo. :)

EDIT: This is under 'Original Circuits'?

Ok I'll be the first to post up some splits... these tyres take a bit of getting used to but so far (after 5 laps) I'm liking it! 👍

21.957 / 47.895 / 1'22.992

A SEAT! What kind of loser would want to drive one of those heaps of junk?!

A SEAT! What kind of loser would want to drive one of those heaps of junk?!

Actually it's funny you should mention that, because I was thinking of you when I selected it. Go figure.

Good to know I'm occupying peoples thoughts. 👍

I actually doesn't look like a bad combo, unlike my one, this SEAT is pretty quick and handles quite decently for a car of it's power. Although that big sweeper after T2 may just cause some of the biggest understeer ever seen.

Even better about the combo is that the car comes in purple! Yes! All I need now is to half the power....then half it again...then for it to have random bits fall off it everyweek....and I'll feel right at home.

I thought that should be your combo, too.

And yeah, this SEAT actually handles well - I remember, when testing it for a Fwd-Rally spotrace I had planned, it was just a second slower than the Renaultsport Clio around Yosemite1. Just to make sure, Normal Sports tyres are N2s, right? Or are those Comfort? I get those mixed up... (Funny, we should've used Comforts on the Opel Corsa 1.4l Comfort)

And is it the same Purple-shade as yours? I know they got Peugeot's colour-schemes spot-on in GT4, as I had the chance to compare the Peugeot 307's Purple to one up our street, and the 206's red and blue.

Well, here we go... first splits ever :nervous:

After ten laps, three clean that I'm sure of:

T1 21.036
T2 46.093
T3 1.20.370

Never driven this car in the game, but i like it alot :)

Hey, you're from Uppsala? I know some folks over there... Welcome to the WRS 👍

BTW, anyone knows of V8 Turbo-engines in GT4? The selection of V8s is big, but they're mostly NA/Supercharged V8s, which:
  • Conflicts with the goal of making a V8 Turbo
  • NA/SC engines don't work on Turbo-cars
Which is why I need to find a Turbo V8...

EDIT: Nevermind the bollocks, here's the V8 Turbo (I should probably slap myself with a stick for this pun...). This Ibiza has a V8 Turbo sourced from an Audi RS6, and to top it off, the power goes from the rear, to the rear.

I'm confused.......I know, so what's new.:dunce:

My tire list:
Economy
Comfort
Road
Sport: Hard, Med, Soft

What am I suppose to use?

Thanx, Gingiba :) ever been to sweden?

Slap me silly, I got to learn to read, obviously...

Disregard my times posted above, i used sports/soft tyres :guilty:

Well, well... shame on me

PURPLE!!

Your description sounds like my Jeep, only its not the power that gets halved, just the fuel economy (currently 13mpg). I thought that with all the lost parts the decreased weight would actually cause the mpg to go up.

# Tyre Type: Road/Normal - Sports

Is it Road Tires or Sports Tires?

This is the NTSC listing:
NORMAL : Economy(E), Comfort(COM), Road(RD)
SPORTS: Hard(SH), Medium(SM), Soft(SS)

The tyres are Roads (RD's)

Sorry, by trying to make it clear what tyres they were it seems to have confused things more.

I figured they were RD's I just got confused seeing the Sports option mixed in there. This is a fun combo, quite a contrast from last week. Way to keep it interesting 👍

21.888 / 47.820 / 1'22.758

seems ok but a bit heavy under brakes  ..

21.129 / 46.886 / 1'21.373

loads left to get when the braking timing is better, will get to work on it.

Here's a little more accurate results. Having a lot of trouble since I seem to avoid FF as much as I can in sim-mode.

T1 22.249
T2 48.497
T3 1.23.350

Welcome aboard MrJ :) ... Damn!! your fast out of the blocks :scared:

edit: never saw your update until after my post :P

Mr P

I would be if that were the right tyres...

BTW, I feel I want to explain that my username similarity to yours is unintentional. While yours may have a thought to it, mine was just lack of imagination at the time.

Is my game different from yours? I can't choose normal - sports, on NTSC. There is no "sports" in the Normal tire option. Your PAL is like my NTSC...

This is the exact listing I have:

NORMAL : Economy(E), Comfort(COM), Road(RD)
SPORTS: Hard(SH), Medium(SM), Soft(SS)

wow is my game different from yours?? I can't choose normal - sports, and I am NTSC.

Jake: I'm with you on this one. I will just assume we need to be on "Roads" and go from there. That pull down does not look like mine. I suspect you and I are looking at the same pull down. That being said. First attempts are miserable.

23.898
50.521
1'22.545

Edit: FYI for Jake. Grew up in Windsor Locks!

A strange thing happened to me yesterday.
I chose what i thought was comfort, but it said "Luxury".
Never saw it before, really strange....

No probs mate easy mistake 👍

My username was given to me by members here in 2001/2002 before the WRS when they were too lazy to type Mr Persistence :sly:
I think MrJ has a cool ring to it and sounds like the guy handing out loads off spliffs to his mates :sly: wheras mine probably at first glance sounds like I smell of urine :dopey:

Ah well ;) ... have fun racing here man

I'm showing the same NTSC tire options as Jake...
NORMAL : Economy(E), Comfort(COM), Road(RD)
SPORTS: Hard(SH), Medium(SM), Soft(SS)

I'm assuming it's Normal - Road (RD), since there was no mention of Hard, Medium, or Soft.
