Well, put a fair amount more time into this after noon. I've seen as low as 21'3xx in the T1, but always botch the T1 to T2 time... Bah

Probably what will be my last attempt for this event...

T1 - 21.586
T2 - 47.125
T3 - 1'21.685

Bah, its that vile T1, I swear!

Target: This. And I failed miserably.

I can't get much above mid-Div3 this week. Which is odd, since I get along well with FFs - usually. But this car is just so... Disconnected? I let off the throttle, and it floats. I get back on, and it floats into the wall. Braking, and the weight-shift, occurs in slow-motion, with zero connectivity.
I left my session feeling that the car was a pretty darn good handler... :indiff:

I agree with Kyle, this thing feels like it handles pretty well. Could it be you are just not using to racing on road tires?

New splits, almost certain this will be the last batch...

T1 - 21.524
T2 - 46.991
T3 - 1'21.479

I must know something about the last sector no else does in Div 2 or something... odd.

Watch as I lose it all in the last bit before the finish line... that turn right after T3 is a big pain and way tricky from what I have found.... or is that just me?

Me, not used to 'em? I race on N1-3s as much as I can - I prefer their linear loss of traction, the general "slippyness", and the fun involved in keeping the car on the road with them. When I race for my own enjoyment, I rarely pick something harder than S1s, and I've noticed the WRS started using hard tyres less and less since Cyril left.

I'm not saying the car handles very badly - for a stock FF coming from the house of VAG, it handles quite well, actually (though still nothing to compare with a Renaultsport Clio). My complaint is that it doesn't let you "feel" anything - as if it floats over the course, with very slow and delayed reactions to bumps, turning and braking.

I thought the turn after T3 was just like the turn after T2, only smaller... And the car drives fantastically through both, which not many cars do.

I'm going to miss this one and the next, since I'm in Virginia and I'll be on my way to Maryland for my semi-annual check-up later this week. So, I'll be seeing you guys and gals when I return....if I return.:indiff:

:)

Well after having a go at this one for 30mins this is what i got,

T1: 21.649
T2: 47.368
T3: 1'22.169 Time submitted

Dfp :D

My splits:

T1: 0`21.516
T2: 0`47.124
T3: 1`21.732

I'm submitting this time. I reckon there's another 0.3 - 0.4 in me but I gots things to do 👍

Down to 21.265/46.865/1:21.655. More there, my sector 3's are terrible, hopefully will make it up by the finish. Time for bed.

Getting back at it before sleepy time...

21.395
47.087
1'21.543

I must say Jerry, you hit one hell of a sweet spot with this combo. The gearing fits just perfectly with the power band of this car on this track with these tires... 👍 👍

I'll keep going for a bit, if I see any improvement I'll edit it into this post, and then submit.

Good luck to anyone still running!

Edit: Superwally, that's a good chunk shaved from your posted splits on the leaderboard, well done man.

Edit2: Submitting the above splits. Checking out the finish I'm flying all fours in the air... :) Shame I don't have a USB stick to upload the picture.

Thanks. I'm not used to spending so much time off throttle and rolling through turns. Took me awhile to get it straightened out. Saw one 20.990 T1 but couldn't carry it through the lap.
