Let's just put this straight and simple - put the softest Normal-tyres you can on the car. 3rd from above.

I got the damn images the wrong way around, that's all. Just use ROAD tyres please. :grumpy:

I like this setup... fun little car. Handles really well I think and I dunno what your problem is with the braking Mr P. I use its braking feel to rotate the car while entering the corners, rally style.

Anyhow, splits...

T1 - 21.620
T2 - 47.220
T3 - 1'21.847

Quite a bit left in there I would say, since I just used the DS2 instead of my DFP...

And Casio, about that sweeper (I assume you are referring to the one at the end of the big straight?), its one of my favorite corners on this track. There sweet spot to attack it at with almost any car that just leads to blissfully going through it with minimal under steer.

I didn't mean to cause trouble. Sorry Jerry. :scared: Thanks for setting it straight for us. 👍

No worries mate. I'm like a bear with a sore head the past week or two, so just ignore me. 👍

to gtbadboy: i assume you made a typo in posting your t3 because 1.22.545 would make you 3rd fastest. for now i replaced it with a 1.28.545 but please confirm your t3 please!

about the combo: i was already wondering when the seat would be used in wrs. too bad its not one of the hot hatches that seat/vw are making these days.

about the tyre choice: it's still unclear to me. rd's are n2 while metar speaks of n3's. so are they the softest normal tyres or are they not?

Fun car to drive, this Seat. Not that amount of understeer other cars in GT4 suffer from...

So far I managed:

T1: 21.106
T2: 46.514
T3: 1'20.680

Typo for sure!!! 1'26.545

Thanks for picking that one up Steve. You can file that one under "Brain Cramp" or "wishful thinking." :guilty:

Sweet splits as always Hugo 👍 I'm still behind after some more laps but this car and its crazy driving style with the DS2 is really crap for me and that brake / accel of the DFP will always have the upper hand with the harder to drive cars with harder / street tyres imo :ouch:

So far I'm at .. 21.109 / 46.616 / 1'20.949 :grumpy:

Will submit this lap because this combo is as enjoyable as having teeth extracted ... to each his own anyway! .. but I prefer grip and these tyres give similar grip to the wheels on a shopping trolley :P

Cyas next week guys

Laptime Submitted

seems ok but a bit heavy under brakes  ..
I heard it was just the driver??? :sly:

I'll get to this tomorrow hopefully, no time tonight! We'll see what I can unravel with the DS2.

And yes Steven, N3 tires, the softest of the unsoft tires...

Am I the only one that cannot choose the gearing? I have never seen this before and am wondering if I did something wrong. Maybe I have to buy the Full Custom transmission in GT mode to change the gearing in Arcade mode? I don't know if I would change anything yet, not enough time in the car, just getting used to the grip (or lack thereof).

T1 23.160
T2 50.597
T3 1:26.456

You can only change the gearing of cars in arcade mode which have Racing Tyres as default.

Indeed to each his own. I enjoy this combo and have no problem with the tires. Of course, I also spend most of my time driving cars on Normal or Sport tires, and simply do not use race tires unless I absolutely must for an event in the game. And I loathe S5 tires...

What I like about this car is it handles and drives somewhat like how an FF does in real life. I can pull the car through corners with the gas, rather than hopelessly understeering off the track.

Leaderboard updated to post 47 with excuses for the typos in the t's from hugo and azuremen. now we have a perfect div1-2-3 luxy spread again.

my very slow first splits are 23.510, 50.698 and 1.26.606 but i'll prolly find a second at every corner this week. lovely track, funny car like all with ff and plenty of power for its weight and no way to adjust the chassis settings (lo front/hi back usually works in gt mode).

edit - getting faster by the minute: 22.556 - 49.201 - 1.24.480 - lap below the 1.xx limit i wanted :)

Giving it a proper go this week...I'm so out of practice

T1 - 21.296
T2 - 46.944
T3 - 1'21.411

I'm supposed to be working on learning Maya... :sly:

21.653 / 47.446 / 1'22.231

I've been on a GT4-break for a couple of months, but have picked up the game once again the last couple of days. So I thought I'd revisit the ol' WRS for some friendly competition. Is there still a place here for this old Div-3'er?

I've been at it with the combo for this week, and though I don't really like FF cars, I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made. My best lap has got a close call in the first sector  , but it's still legal.

Splits:
T1: 22.188
T2: 48.146
T3: 1'23.128

Hey, old pal! I remember you, from Week 78, wasn't it? Takata @ Tokyo... We had one hell of a battle :sly:

LOL, I forgot all about that, but it's true, yes. That was a close one :)

I see you've progressed nicely since then! I'll have to do my best to catch up!

Well, I just took delivery of a lovely new Seat Ibiza Cupra painted in an eco-friendly 'Verde merlin' (green for short). I'm getting it race-prepped by my crew of befuddled miscreants and I'll soon head out for about 10 laps to see what kind of beating I'm in for this week.

It took a lot more than 10 laps to even feel comfortable in this car:

21.970
48.258
1:23.236

Shamefully slow, but wait.....there's more....

21.674
47.658
1:22.529

small improvement, the elevations changes are troublesome though...

21.605 / 47.545 / 1'22.016

Well its been along time since my last WRS race, and it shows with my splits.
Not to worry, just enjoying playing in the series again.

23.236 / 50.804 / 1'26.513

The tyre combo confused me a little. When selecting the car i selected road tyres. Then in quick tune my tyre combo is Tyre Tpye: Normal with front and rear selected as sport tyres. Hope this is right.

Cheers
