Giving it a proper go this week...I'm so out of practice

T1 - 21.296
T2 - 46.944
T3 - 1'21.411
Oh really...

T1: 21.475
T2: 47.135
T3: 1'21.758

Just starting to get used to it, gotta head to bed though. Next session and I should be dipped below Greg's splits in his V8 Turbo.

And that Verde merlin is a pretty cool color... This car has some nice options, now where's the Cupra R? Or is that this one? :)

I really wish someone would remap the boost on this car though... It could pull sooo much harder.

Leaderboard updated and now you can see in the luxy header when we've been updating last so perhaps we don't have to post these stupid messages so often :dopey:

Am I the only one who ever looked at the grey strip saying when it was last updated?

I'm against including updater/time/post in the titles. Keeping it clean seems better to me.

No. I only spotted it because you pointed at it...

The leaderboard gets updated on a regular base. If it bothers you that you sometimes need to wait a little longer for an update than usual, just volunteer as an updater 👍 So this information is redundant if you ask me. Nothing personal though, Steven :sly:

Whoops, you pointed out a rather odd typo. Corrected now 👍

But really, I don't think putting it there is necessary.

I seem to have problems in the first section... Can't break 21.6xx it seems no matter how hard I try... whats the trick you other fastish peoples?

No real tricks here. Just remember you need to drive a FF in a different way. Brake before the corner, let it roll through the corner and then slowly start applying the throttle again. This way you should easily be able to drive under 21.6 at T1.

Yup, you can maintain a LOT more speed through the turns if you optimize your lines, stay mostly off the throttle until the apex or later,(braking sooner so you can lightly get back on the gas helps of course) and use ALL of the track.

Oh hell. I was digging out GT4 and planned to give this ago, but I'm at least a second off the pace at each timepoint.

I give up. :(

This is what I have so far:

21.497
47.497 (no, not a typo - exactly 26 seconds in the second sector)
1:22.365

Slight improvement here...
0'22.083
0:47.871
1'22.619

Won't be able to get back at it until Sunday night though.

Good Luck & Good Racing!

Well, that's definitely NOT the spirit!!! Everyone's posted splits weren't after 5 minutes of racing... You have to put some time into it, keep finding ways to shave off more time, get used to the car, get used to the track. Spend a solid hour racing and then see where you're at. This just means you have more room to improve!!! 👍 And if you don't work at it, how do you expect to improve? Come on now! :)

If you're already registered as a WRS driver(if you aren't, do the qualifier and submit!), I hope to see you in the results thread...

Thanks for the pointers fellas.....I've kind of found that out in testing. I got down to 21.4's in the first sector, but it requires an absolutely perfect line and the judicious application of the brake/coast technique and hours of practice to master T1. Well, then there's T2, T3, and the final sector.

Of course, that's all predicated on my limited skills and reflexes which means I'm very unlikely to pull this one off. If I wasn't going out of town this weekend I'd have a more positive outlook.....so I'm a 'maybe' for this race.

 👍

21.518
47.503
1:22.112

Slight improvement....encouraged by one 21.2 first sector, but not moving much in the rest of the track yet.

21.496
47.430
1:22.061

Had another dabble last night, managed to get my splits down to
21.373 (seen 21.1) / 46.870 / 1'21.635

Used the black car this time :D

EDIT : damn disregard those sectors for now, I think I might have used the wrong tyres :grumpy:

EDIT 2 : it's ok I used the right tyres :D

I spent an hour on the wrong tyres last night. I finally figured it out when I broke into 1'21.5xx and knew I wasn't that good!
Amazing what an upgrade to SH tyres can do for you! :dunce:
I was so tired at that point I went to bed!!!:ill:

Yes, I did fire the pit crew for their ignorance!!

But it's soooo much easier for me to give up.

Good splits there Lotus350....you must have found the sweet spot. Looks like I'm going to be following you around the track for sure this week.👍

I think I'm going to install some of that 'laughing gas' on this puppy.....I'm going so slow, I've got time to tell a few jokes and wave to the spectators.:sly:

Keep finding a few tenths here and there. Wish I had more time but, I'm on travel starting Sunday a.m. Might get to run another session later today.

21.897
48.264
1'23.428

Target: This. And I failed miserably.

I can't get much above mid-Div3 this week. Which is odd, since I get along well with FFs - usually. But this car is just so... Disconnected? I let off the throttle, and it floats. I get back on, and it floats into the wall. Braking, and the weight-shift, occurs in slow-motion, with zero connectivity.

Babysteps... but's that's pretty much what I expected.
Don´t know if I can do any better than this. I'll try again tomorrow :)

T1 21.849
T2 47.432
T3 1.22.128

On the upside, I'm more consistant with 21.x/47.x/1.22.
It's been somewhat of a rollercoaster otherwise.
