GT4 WRS Week 11: "WRS Team Event, Part 1"

WOW!!!! I just did the biggest burnout in the history of all GT4!!!

I'm using holl's settings right now. If you smack a wall or accelerate on a curb then you will your tires will spin for a while (until you tap the brakes or shift).

Well, I'm rounding the right corner that leads to the short straight upon which you cross T1. I go too wide and hit the left wall and ricochet onto the right wall, and spin around. I never let off the gas though, so now my wheels are spinning in mad fury while I'm still in fourth. I started the burnout at the line for T1 and ended up at the top of the hill!

Just about to submit my time. It's been good this week. I enjoyed the car and track, though I've not been able to put together a lap I'm really happy with. The best I seem to be able to do is two out of three sectors, usually if the first is good the second is poor, or vice versa. Been watching desperate housewives the last couple of mornings too, I didn't think it'd be my kind of programme, but I'm getting quite into it. The weather's been good here lately (which is certainly rare in Scotland), but don't worry, the midges have been out to keep people semi-miserable.

I just got a new best time, worse splits though. Im finaly starting to see regular low 1.06 mid to high 1.05 at T2 👍

For one, because that is a leaderboard in the true sense.
Two, because it's old as hell... Most of you probably don't know, but Tuff240 spent quite a bit of time doing the same board before luxy took it over.
Three... Well, forget about three.

I'm just sick of seeing Luxy's leaderboard get such little credit as to be called the provisional leaderboard...
As if he creates a new one each week just to create special provisions for racers that want to see where they stand.

Ah, just ignore this old dog... I'm just an angry racer with a grudge for anything that changes.

Isn't it always a fight to the finish with you two? It does make for some 'sitting on edge of seat, nail biting' excitement. I enjoy seeing you two battle it out. 👍

I know kenny, I'm friends with Androoos and I'm just mocking him some....trying to make him go faster, cuz I know he can go faster, alot faster. I apologize if it bothered some people. Not trying to upset anyone in here.

Ran some more tonight, will try to run again in the morning before the USGP comes on, here's what I got so far...

T1 - 0:24.615
T2 - 1:05.339

I'm still not happy here, not far from 1:04's, just gotta work some more and maybe tweak my settings a little.

He is entitled to mock me. I routinely kicked his butt in all racing games in college, so now he's getting his revenge. And I welcome it!

FInally some time worth posting. After an hour and a half, and anger management class, I cut .4 seconds off the line.

NOTE: I went back to stock everything. Auto gear still at 7. Only change in setup. I seem to do better this way.

Now let me ask, how long have you been keeping up with the WRS?

Would you say Luxy's board is a temp leaderboard?

Exactly what do you mean by "time being"?

Wouldn't you say that the dynamic statistics provided by flat-out are also only valid for the time being?

With the way you are using the word and definition, anything that changes is provisional.

Specifically, Flat-out's dynamic stats board is provisional based on your definition.



Maybe you should read your own definition and apply it consistantly.

A) Niether of the leaderboards are provisional
Or
B) Both of the leaderboards are provisional

Since, in fact, both can be seen as provisional and based on the idea of temperary racer rankings in the WRS.

By "provisional" I mean Luxy's leaderboard represents provisional times and positions per week, as they are constantly changing as drivers run more laps and improve their times. The leaderboard is not provisional, but the data it contains is, and here come those semantics. I was simply trying to illustrate that you were getting annoyed for no reason as your interpretation of "provisional" as referring to the leaderboard's status was incorrect, in my belief, to other WRS drivers' interpretation of the provisional nature of the data Luxy's leaderboard represents.

Anyway, I didn't want to start a flame war about this, I was just trying to clear things up.

Thought I'd finally save a replay to PC so I borrowed an AR MAX from a friend but got the dreaded "Insufficient space" message even though there is 247MB free - and thats on a SONY Microvault too

I don't think so. I read that a Div 1 driver can be on the same team with a div 3 driver. I could be wrong.

Why does this board have to resort to arguments like this? It seems to be occurring more and more often. Luckily this one isn't as big as the last one...yet.

In other boards that I participate in, the moderators don't let stuff like this happen. So, naturally, I'm surprised to see a moderator right smack in the middle of it, fanning the flames. I thought moderators were supposed to be the cooler heads that prevail over the rest?

Mainly, I just want to say: Children, quit your bickering and get back to the task at hand. Shut up and drive fast. If you feel you can't shut up, at least take it to PM's!
