Interesting Amp ... I see GT4's sector times splits are roughly the same places as the real ones ! ... not exactly though ...

Awesome website,amp...Love the formula1..wish I had seen that a while ago.

Anyone going to Indy this week to see Formula 1?
Near me, so Ill probably go to see practice or qualifying anyway.Harrd to believe that those cars can stay together turning up to 19,000 RPMs !!!!

(sorry..off topic)....

Anyway, back on topic:@ wsssup, thanks again for the brake balance tips...you were right, it does help tremendously! 👍

Ahh! thats where i go wrong! i keep taking a left at Mirabeau and going shopping! DOH! :(

*cuts an hour off his time with a right turn*

Just wanted a clarification of the rules here,if I may (CFM?)

CFM
Race Settings:

All parts allowed except for: R4 & R5 Tires, NOS, and Turbos

Equip NA Tuning Stage 3:
(420HP after Oil Change, as seen in graph in tuning screen)
Tires: Racing Tires - Choice of R1, R2, and R3 (Any combination)
Driver's choice of AT or MT
Unlimited oil changes, wheel changes, and wing changes.

So,does this mean the only HP upgrades we can have is the oil change, and NA tuning stage 3? (Reads 420HP after oil change on the graph)
I know the post says that any parts are allowed, but does that mean, no racing chip, port polish, etc? (I havent tried to purchase them actually, but just checking)

Im assuming that means you can do anything else (like the customizable trans, full race suspension, clutch, etc)

Just wanted to make sure about the other HP upgrades.

TIA for the clarification.

EDIT: Just realized, you cant purchase anything els anyway, nevermind! :dunce:

On the LM cars all the sutff is already done ... you CAN only do Stage 3 NA and tyres ... no other mods are possible, except for chassis thingie ...

Just put in a T1 time that I was really pleased with, but, as is so often the case, I was cautious on the rest of the lap to make sure I never wasted it. Only improved my overall time by 11/100ths of a second, but I'm pleased to know I can do a good T1 now.

For one, the port polish and stuff aren't available for this car (the only HP upgrade besides NA tuning is the Turbo, which is off limits). Everything else is game: suspension, Transmission, clutch, weight, etc. If it doesn't touch HP, it's alright (I'm pretty sure that the only other tune-up you can get is the rigidity increase). Now, to get back to thoroughly tuning this bad boy (has a couple driving tendencies I'm not too happy with).

I went back, and bought the tires and stuff, and realized my question was irrelevent,I saw that you couldnt upgrade it any more....sorry guys for me overlooking that the first time! :dunce:

was suprised you fell so far behind in the last sector last week, you were only .22 behind me at the last split, but lost a further .8 in the run to the line!

Would like some cross-atlantic co-op, show em what us Brit's can do!
Maybe get Vexd and Exelero involved too, a trouble shared!.......

Neil

am all for us brits showing what we can do...... just dont expect too much! :dunce:
there are more than four brits on this site tho so what about the rest of em??
i guess they need to ask themselves if they feel lucky???

well do ya punk?! :scared:

Damnit.. I go out of town for the week and OF COURSE my favorite track comes into play. D'oh! Well, I will be home Friday night some time so I will at least be able to throw down a few laps and hopefully since its my fav. track, I will manage a competative time. Great combo! 👍 See y'all at the finish line

Small bit of improvement.. not much to write home about, but you know..

T1: 24.662
T2: 1'05.704

My line for Massenet is to crest the hill at its outermost point in 5th. When I get to about the last 3/4 of that sweeper, I drop to 4th for some turn-in and I'm out. YMMV.

Z are you still using the settings you posted back on page 2? If not can you repost as your settings work so well for me1 :D

I've purchased a new car and just started over again clean seeing that some are going quite fast with stock settings ( ). If that doesn't work.. I'll see what I can get together in the way of a setup and post it up. 👍

i've wanted to submitt my T's for some time, but they're seconds behind everyone elses so not willing to take up the space in the thread!!

all i can do is wait for this write up from one of you..........
please hurry!

I need to play with my settings some more. Found one that worked but now I can't beat my best time.... I keep losing 2 seconds between T2 and the finishline... :ill:

Nice to see so many of us around! :D

Gonna buy a brand new car, do the mods and start from scratch! Just like Z suggested.

Mite get to put some laps in later, but gotta play league pool tonite first.

HHHMMMMM! Guinness, pool, monaco! Bliss!

why buy a new car and start all over? Why not just reset everything to default, that or someone can post all the stock settings of this car. That or just use a different setup block?

New car, no mileage!

Sick of having to change the oil every 100 km!
Got 8.8 g'jillion credits on my Uber save, so money no object!

And can get the PURPLE one! lol

After failing to submit a time for last week's race, I'm back again. Didn't spend much time on the race last week anyway but I am now at about 88% completion. STILL haven't beaten Mission 34, but maybe after gaining a new skill set...

Back to this week... I've finally decided to change things up and learn to drive stick after driving auto since GT1. I'm getting pretty comfortable on the DFP and halfway so on the DS2. I can see how choosing your own gear can be faster than auto. The extra involvement is also enjoyable, but it'll be hard to do with the kids fighting in the background and the music on. I've so far only run with the BGM very low and headphones off to help hear the engine. No better car for that than the LM S2000 though. I've gotta say, though, that learning manual on a tight and twisty street course does not make completing a clean lap easy!

So far my best T2 is 1'08.599.

BTW, I purchased the red car. Has anyone else noticed that the number on the hood does not match the number on the roof? I haven't checked the other color cars, but I found this amusing...

Now back to work!!

Yep, we should all be DQ'd for that one. I noticed it while watching a replay to check it was clean.
