We are going to race on Suzuka East and you can choose one of the four cars.
Also a big thanks to Mr P and NielsG for the helping hand.👍​

Week 114 Race Specifics:

A - Since there are no T/split-times on Suzuka East,racers are allowed to post laptimes in the thread during the week.

B – Special rule 1 for this week: The final lap time must be posted in the thread before the deadline.
The thread will be closed at 2 July 6 PM GMT.
Please PM the final lap time AND the car. I need the info for the results thread.

C –Special rule 2 for this week: It is not allowed to talk about the type of car you are using.That's the catch.

D – Please play it fair,avoid sandbagging

Time verification:
Save your replay and keep it at least a full week after the time has been submitted:

Uh oh, I think I may have found a problem... I don't see any Toyota "Yari" in the NTSC version... There's the Vitz, which appears the same, but the only '00 I've seen(so far) has a 1.3l engine, not a 1.5l. I'll keep looking. This is in the Used car market, I don't know where you guys found the 1.5l version originally, but if you have to win it, maybe a similar spec Vitz can be found in the NTSC version. EDIT: There are Vitz RS 1.5 '00s in the game, I just have to find them now. I might get it from winning this Vitz race series, I'll letcha know. EDIT2: Pff. I'm an idiot and skipped over it the first time, you can buy it brand new! Toyota VITZ RS 1.5 '00.

That being said, here's my fastest lap so far between other cars that I'm interested in.

Never thought about checking NTSC if the cars were the same or that they even excist.

Can't wait to try this! Should be a lot of fun since I like Suzuka anyway and to have a multiple choice of vehicles will certainly spice things up!

Have just looked for the Opel Tigra ( in Germany ) section. Can't find it in my PAL copy. Did find Vauxhall Tigra with same stats under UK. Can this one be used?
Could somebody check to make sure I'm not going doolally.......Or perhaps I am!!

According the specs the Opel and Vauxhall are the same.

1'03.978 in the 🤬, so far.

EDIT: Just tried the 🤬 and improved to 1'03.585.

Don't have time to get some laps in, just enough to make sure I have all the cars. All but the Toyota are available in a nice/obnoxious puke green color. None are available in purple

Dangit! I just spent the last half hour racing around with too much hp... No wonder I was going so fast! Blah. Back in a bit with some faster than before splits...

EDIT: Wow. Right after I said that, I ended up matching my fast lap with too much hp, to the THOUSANDTH with two percent less horsepower. Awesome!!!

Now it's REALLY down to racing for thousandths. I'm not sure if I'll be able to dip below 1'03 or not. Maybe, just MAYBE if I get everything perfectly. That's what I say now, but who knows what the end of the week will bring.

I'll have to get back into the other cars to see how much of that was just driver improvement vs car improvement. Awesome combo, and definitely can't wait for the next one of this sort! (and the next GT mode combo...) Hopefully I don't miss anything too awesome next week, as I'll be in Hawaii from the 1st through the 8th. Sjaak...

Torque to Weight is always in the mix too...

I thought it was going to be different than that, but I guess the line-up's still the same. It's not as big of a difference between the min and max though as there is with horsepower.

There's also gearing that comes into play(Toyota), as well as braking(haven't done much braking to know), tire width(Opel, maybe Citroen too), and suspension tuning(Citroen, well, it rotates the best).

First I tried the , which just didn't seem to want to go. So, I hopped into the which I've had fair success with in a hopped up form. I learned a good lesson, which I then pressed into use with the . Quite frankly, that was bloody useless, so on an interesting comment on the thread, I tried the . This I had more success with, but it drove me to every time I made a mistake and it just went off on a mission to chase its own tail. I decided my instincts were good, and trying the again after what I'd learned with the and the would be worth a shot. Hey presto, after a bit of and some and surprisingly few 🤬 I got the little under 1:04.
