Hey guys. Sorry for asking something that's probably already been discussed, but apparently the DR thresholds have changed - specifically A+ top has been increased to 150,000. Is this true? So all I need to update in GranTracker is the top-end? Or have the values for each tier changed?

Yes mate the just increased the limit to 150k so wider for the A+ Range no other ranking changes.

Will a longer race influence your DR-rate more than a shorter?
No, only influence by the position you finish and how many people of higher DR you beat.

Race A will be fun. Gonna hit the time trial first to get the feel of the F1 car.

May also go for some Race C. Spicy grid start and T1 Nurb will be carnage. Gonna race from the back and climb half the grid in three corners.

Completely forgot about a moment from yesterday, and probably on purpose.🤣

First race at DF and for some reason I went total dumbass on the grid start. Throttle smashed, grid loads, penalty applied...panic, smash more button, almost take-off in reverse. Nope, never played before, thanks for asking though...

I waited until 3am Monday morning to try my first RCR Civic race (for shame!). Had a little dabble in qualifying earlier in the week, but my schedule didn't quite land as I would've wished.

First race, 8 participants, 5 of them C/S and myself up top with another A driver and one A+. A disconnect for Mr.A leaves me and A+ leading the way (well HIM leading the way, his quali was nearly two seconds faster than mine). No prizes for guessing how it went. I managed to tail him until sector 2 when he really started gapping me. 6.5 seconds in the lead by the end

After a bit more practice and learning the nuances of this car (much more fun than I thought it would be), I managed to come back for a rematch. Similar scenario, we were away from Lap 1, I kept within earshot of my competition but his superior technique on several corners were the base for another trouble-free win for the Frenchman. At least he was only a second in front this time.

More of these races, please!
 
I rarely compete in Sport Mode Daily Races but find Race A very enjoyable if a little chaotic on L1. A race with custom set-ups for the F3500-A would be nice as the stock one is not great with it's excessive oversteer.

... Also missing slow formula cars like Formula Ford or other fun small racing cars like Global GT Lights… I guess they have their own licenses in other games.
I completely agree with you on the game still missing slower formula cars. PD has shown with this F3500-A that they don't require licenses for these so we could and should see additional formula cars of various levels in the future. Cross those fingers!

Race C is tough going on lap 1 🤣🤣 Got a QT of 1.56.8 but starting on pole there is just a nightmare 😳 I have a video to upload later, I would like your opinions on it...who was right and wrong 🙈 will probably be in the morning knowing my Internet 🤣🤣

Edit....this makes up for it 😉🏆 was a tough race 🙈

Really frustrated with my two attempts at Race A this week. I don't think I can be bothered with it anymore. A shame as I love formula cars.. and anything high downforce.
Race 1: Started at the back on the first due to a crash in quali with no time to spare. Was up to 4th by end of lap 1. Not due to my skill, but others chaotic driving causing crashes ahead. I then was in this pack, and promptly got punted very hard at the apex of a hairpin, and three or more times over the next 2 laps. I didn't hit anyone, or not "leave a space" but my SR went down!

Race 2: Qualied 4th, had a slow getaway and was 9th at first corner. I played safe, eyes on radar, got through clean and got (purposefully) punted off at turn two. With damage and dirty tires, track limit penalty, I tried to get away and span. SO now I was 25 seconds behind everyone. and more or less stayed there. Two laps later a message pops up with abbreviated swearing, accusing me of dirty driving. I tried to type a response and got disqualied for too long a pause, losing my ability to see the replay for evidence of me doing anything bad. Rather angered my DR seems to have gone down too.

Race B was a bit savage today - it must have been half my races I got punted off to the back of the field. I don't know if it's a lack of overtaking places at Suzuka causing impatience and then stupid moves or just Monday madness?

QT is 2:11.1 so I need to work on getting into the 10s. Might try race C tomorrow, but will need to do circuit experience first.
 
Time for a break for food...I am getting so close to the 100 victories now...I am not sure it will happen this week though as I am nearly back up to B/S ( and that usually trouble 😅)
3 races done on Race C, a 2nd (more on that when the replay is uploaded 😒) and 2 wins🏆 🏆

Last race was quite good, had pressure for a couple of laps as i find the Lambo a bit weird for the first laps and then it settles down...more likely its me!! Anyway 13 seconds clear at the end was good going 👌 My race pace is very good for once. My fastest lap in this race was 1.57.375 and the race before it was 1.57.278. I was watching a couple of streams and that pace is bloody good for someone as poor as me 🙈

It's Monday, and also this early people are stronger in different sectors so you need a fair bit of frustration management and to have a little patience but....loads don't they just think one place ahead and not whole race ahead.

It reminds me of the story of the Old Bull and Young Bull walking over a hill and seeing a field full of mares
 
Lots of events love for the F3500-A after the update. Nice.

Race A: F3500-A - 1:24.518 Took a while to log a valid lap

Race B: NSX Gr.4 - 2:11.953 Felt like I was driving through molasses after my time in the F3500-A

Race C: NSX Gr.3 - 1:58.640 Car was good, but I was not

I like standing starts and longer races, so I may stick to race C. It will be a good opportunity to improve at Nurburgring GP, where I'm pretty weak.

It's a shame that Race B is only 4 laps. 😔

Race A will be for QTs when I'm feeling masochistic. I shouldn't be allowed anywhere near actual living breathing human people person players. 😅

Wheel (G29 - 6 Torque, 9 Sensitivity) has some nice weight and feeling after the update. Brakes (ABS Weak) feel weird... that'll take some getting used to.

This is really really putting me off driving, this is Gr3 sector one at Nurbs GP it's less pronounced but still happens in GR4 haven't tried A yet.

It's only 1 min long but the bit at 37s is particularly harsh.

That does sound a bit harsh!

Almost seems like some clipping?

I think I over exerted myself on A this weekend and I saw the races and decided I was having a week off,

I hope you get to the bottom of this grating!

But how am I going to make you rue the day you beat my Race A QT if you take a week off? 😐
 
Which is better/What's the difference between <default> and <weak> ABS settings?

If I'm opening up a debate as old as 'Vinyl -vs- CD' with this one, apologies...😇
Your mileage may vary:

ABS Off was too difficult for me to modulate not locking up the brakes.

ABS Default felt too intrusive.

ABS Weak was my Goldilocks moment. After the patch, Weak felt like the brakes were still biting a bit too much when I was trail braking into corners like normal.

Vinyl has a warmer sound, but I don't use it.

Jumped on over lunch to qualify for race A. Car is much tougher here, way more corners, everything comes at you so fast. Started MT but brain couldn't compute so switched to AT to get braking right. Binned it a lot but managed a respectable time. I reakon a 21 flat is possible but man, hairy stuff.

Good evening.

Daily A: Watkins Glen Long (GRG Civic)
Nice combo. Good fun.
Kudos for different combo than usual, very well PD.


Daily B: Interlagos (Gr3)
Always a nice combo, but a bit repeated one.
Nevertheless, at least we had a medium tyre instead of a hard one.


Daily C: Deep Forest Raceway (Gr4 4WD cars) Standing start.
Many Kudos for this combo.
Unfortunately, first half of the week was Huracans Cup and the second half was Alfas 155 Cup.
Again, a few races where my cars were the only ones no Huracan nor 155.
Thank you for the standing starts. Someone is trying to change the races to more interesting events.
Can we have next time hard tires as well, please? Softs and hards, might be more challenging and more variety of strategy.
The only thing I don't know, is if it would be better having mandatory pits or not.

I will have to insist tho on the silly 'bonus', of giving a player a top 5 result, when he quit the race.
This is quite absurd and invite some to quit whenever they want, just because don't achieve, or lose
the top 5 finish. I see them every day.

Please PD, penalize who quit races, don't give a gift.

Did plenty of races with the F 3500 and it's a handful.

Can lap 1.22 sometime during races but can also do anywhere around 23 to 27. Miss the consistency, this car is a beast.

Couple of podium from the back, couple fastest lap and lots of spin.

Also PD need to punish people hitting your side and throwing you out in the gravel. Seems easy:

If side contact and distance between cars is more than 20metes in less than 3 sec then 5 sec pens

Gonna have to go poke at it post update so thanks for sharing. It's one of those things I've looked at, and even poked at, but never fully understood. EXCEPT no ABS. That's a complete non-starter for me on a controller. Turned it off once and learned to never, ever go back into that scary space.🤣

...and just couldn't walk out the parlor w/out smashing at least ONE glass, huh?? I mean, in the end 'warmth' kinda = 'distortion' but imma avoid the topic altogether. Love 'em both.😁
