Getting a good launch off the line w/o TCS is impossible for me. The corners after that was just the icing on the cake.

I use TCS, and I approved this message. 👍

The following message is paid for by KPM Motorsports

Hheheheheheh ... that seals that deal then ... if KPM's behind it, ity MUST be good (crooked and probably backed by a team of sweat shop kittens working treadmills ... but good enough for me, either way).

Unfortunately, they are blind and tend to run the wrong way on the treadmills....

HAHAHHAHAH ... oh god ... spectacular.

In other news, I am *NOT* witnessing any of this "turns well under power" malarky ... the car is an over steering bugger that over steers slightly less under throttle ... and subsequently hits the walls even harder.

Can anyone help me out with the Hairpin? I'm braking pretty good, down into second ... but the bloody, damned, acursed, infernal car is a BUGGER to get through it ... it doesn't want to turn under it's own weight and if I nudge it with power, it invariably goes off ... I can lsoe so much time right here, it's criminal.

Trying to find the best through here also.

Right now, I get to second, and then sort of let it coast through the turn, but on the exit, I have to fix the wheel spin. But 80% of the time seems to move through here ok, without pushing to far out of the turn. Of course I could be doing it all wrong. :P

I believe you mean understeer. That's when it doesn't turn enough.

For the hairpin, I brake early, when it stops turning. From 5th down to 2nd, stay to the right for almost all of your braking. Hit the inside apex but don't get on the gas too soon. Once you hit the apex, full throttle out.

Brilliant!

Thank you very much!

Maybe give it some blind sweat shop kittens on treadmills? ....with TCS installed?

I use the wrong words after 3 months of GT4 racing.

I'm so cool

I tried using 3rd to eliminate the wheelspin coming off of there, but Im not sure if that is slowing me down too much coming off or not.
Speed wise, I am coasting through there about the same, but then I started shifting it down to second ,turned in and put it in third before I actually started hitting the throttle, out.
You still have to slow down a fair bit, though.

I think I may be going in too narrow ... I need to follow a line more similar to the one Kenny described. I might be hitting the gas too early, too ... I tend to do that.

Like, ALL the time.

Shoot man I"d kill for a Blind Sweat Shop Kitten as a teammate for JGTC!

Best Lap 1:49.528 (forgot to look just before I finished the race)

Here's my settings and I trimmed ANOTHER 10 seconds from my previous overall time

Laps 1 thru 6 RM - Pit on lap 6
Went into pit and put on RS tires

Competition is set at level -7

Top Speed is at 320

TCS on, just can't seem to leave it off efficiently in these REALLY fast cars

And this time NO AI CONTACT AT ALL... YIPPEE!!!!

Oh! and 1 A Spec Point...YES!!!!!

NEWS FLASH

Tokyo police have just announced that somebody has escaped custody. A trail of destruction was left through an already devistated city as somebody led police on a wild chase.

"We almost had him a few times but we were unable to close in while avoiding all the rabbits that were apparently running for their lives. We think he finally turned on TCS and from there both he and the rabbits seemed to disappear."

If you see this man, do not approach, as he is considered dangerous and likely to spin out on any corner.

Thanks Kenny, Koly, Rob23, and that somebody. I needed that as I wasn't feeling up to myself lately. I haven't cracked a smile in the past 2 days.

Now about the Z, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one in need of TCS. Without it, I can't get past the 3rd corner (or I suck that much). Running RH fronts and RH rears and getting cautionary laps of 1:53.xxx.

Was somebody there?

LOL!!! Oh man this is great :)

Thanks bluerabbit7, I'm sure you'll be happy to know your relatives are safe :)

By the way, not all is lost. There is now ample parking in Tokyo :mischievous:

Is there an overall consensus yet on what the best difficulty setting is for the AI?

I've made a couple of attempts with the difficulty on +10, but there is no way for me to get around them without touching. Have to run almost a whole lap waiting for passing zones to get by.

Seems from what I've read in the posts, that the lower difficulty settings are the way to go. Is that about right?

Any one, any one . . Bueller?

AI set to -6 or -7 should get you pass them for the first corner. Depending on what tyres you get them to run, and the tyres you run on, you should catch them around lap 6.

Higher AI makes for greater difficulty passing, but they wont hold you up as bad if you get caught behind.

Lower AI makes for easier passing, but if you get caught behind them in a corner you will lose more time.

Catch 22.

You wanna know whats getting on my butt? well i'll tell you.
I love the 350Z, it has all the grace of a beautiful woman with all the handling characteristics (mainly steering) of an ugly person.
Sorry, i'll talk proper now, This car is getting on my nerves in those esses. poooooooo.
(I know this is a pointless post but I just need an excuse to see my new avatar of ME!
