Doh! Yeah, I haven't paid enough attention to this thread before I started in it, didn't have time to keep up with it from the beginning... Sorry, and thanks!

So the first laps without any controls on but oh my god what a twitchy thing that evo car sliding all over the place.
So now after half an hour with some help of the electronics things are getting better for me.
Here are my first laptime's.
T1: 20.171 (saw a 20.000)
T2: 44.126
T3: 1.16.394

Well now some more time to practice and hopefully the force will be with me.
See you

Finally I learned how to get a decent T1.:dopey:

Stay in 5th gear does the trick.

T1-19.358
T2-41.912
T3-1'12.522

A little more time to make some refinements to my lap. An overall 3/10ths gained at the line, but some odd splits compared to before! :boggled:
Slower at T1, but faster at T2 and T3.

T1 19.260
T2 41.877
T3 1'12.402

I'm really finding that riding the brakes (keeping the brake pedal partially pressed while going to full throttle) out of many of the bends is helping to stabilise the car a lot, and prevents wheelspin and tail-hanging. 👍

I've had a busy week and just completed my second session with my first clean and reportable splits.

19.760
42.910
1:14.869

Not sure if I can catch Kenny this week, but I'll give it my best shot!!

I think it's about time to return to WRS after not racing at all while at school. I had a brief session where I got a 19.0xx 42.5xx and who knows what after that. But given a few hours, hopefully I'll still be competitive.

This is a fun combo, but frustrating! Just blown a 1'11.935 by getting up over the rumble strip onto the narrow strip of concrete outside the last turn before the chicane. :banghead:

Still, got an improvement, lost another 3/10ths at the line from before.

T1 19.018
T2 41.652
T3 1'12.045

Nailed the big hairpin and the turn before T3 to give a good lap overall.

Welcome back STLbarcelona5!! I remember you.

@ Smallhorses: I must say that both the behavior of the car and the results of my splits have seemed odd to me also. These are my current splits from my fastest lap, but I was a full tenth a half slower at T3 than before. It's also a full three tenths slower at T2. It brings home my room for improvement.
T1= 19.168 T2= 42.009 T3= 1'12.713

I've lowered my time to:
0'19.113
0'41.618
1'12.081

Happy with my T2 and T3, but T1 could go down to 18.8, and I was also quite cautious at the last chicane, losing another bit.

I'll probably submit this time. Will we have another close finish, this time with a car that can't drive the same line twice?

nice run, CMir. 👍 I can't touch that.
A car that can't run the same line twice. That's a comforting thought. It must be the car.

board

small, gtp and moai are performing off-division, but otherwise the spread is very nice this week :)

welcome back to stl from me too 👍

submitted my captainslowest lap to sjaak. had another corrupt data situation and decided to start from scratch again - great fun AND NO B-SPEC THIS TIME :D

Alright did my first day of competitive racing w00!! Got some major work to do... here's my cleanest lap
T1 21.015
T2 44.488
T3 116.252
Definately not of the fastest... I have mustered up some 19.xxx's and a 114.xx everynow and then but now to piece these together...

No racing all day Sat. Spent it in hospital. Ice on steps, fat arse, a high center of gravity and the wrong shoes.:scared: Need I say more??

Right knee was already a mess, now my right elbow looks like I have an alien living in there and I can't get my arm straight. If I had as many needles sticking out of me as they stuck in me I'd look like some kind of a human weapon. Not sure I can drive today but I'll give it a try later when the pills kick in. :nervous: Good luck to all still giving it a go!!👍

@ gtbadboy: that may be karma striking back for the the fat arse jokes!!
Seriously, though, please take care of yourself. There are already enough people who want to hurt all of us, so no need to do it for them.

No holds barred, I'm going to race this combo all day until I ... bye bye. Off to the Cote d'Azur!!!:sly:

LAN racing is great today. Miss you, Jake.

Last Sunday session for me,

18.952 -Thank god I didn't look at that split, otherwise I would certainly crashed in a wall.
41.516
1'12.037

Gonna submit now.:)

I'm submitting now. Quite disappointed about not even a podium in D2, [probably, but it's time to move on.

NICE SJAAK!!!

I hear you about not looking at the splits!

Can't drive today either, right elbow swollen and really sore :ouch:and I need to keep it in a sling and quiet!:grumpy:

Time submitted. Good luck to all still at it. Hope to see you all at the Cote later in the week.:nervous:

Time submitted
may lose power due to ice storm so figured better sub before its too late, my t3 time is slower than previously posted, but the final is faster
:bowdown:nothing against Mr P, but go Clemi and Smallhorses
and again badboy nice run, lets see how this turns out
good luck to all

Better get my butt in gear - haven't fired up the PS2 for the last few days and no big surprise that I'm falling down the leaderboard. One last shot tonight.

Ron, get better 👍

Updated splits after a brief session this morning. I figured out where I was losing it in the 3rd sector :) -

19.716
43.035
1:14.146

Have seen faster T1's but seem to mess it up after that. :ouch:

Will see if I can work out that second sector and catch up to Kenny.

Well my first time without driving aids etc.
It is hard to drive but ones you have te fealing it is all getting in place.

T1: 20.646
T2: 44.118
T3: 1.15.225

I have to stop Top Gear is getting started at the BBC2

See you all and have fun

Greetings Le Mans

Well to start off i'd brought me nothing. saw some good fast splits for me (43.xxx) but was managed to crash at the end all the time.:ouch:
So i'm going to bed and maybe try tommorrow for another time.

Top Gear was great fun, as allways, liked the 24 hour race they did and off course the roadtest of the Ascari was great fun.

See you next time

Le Mans

Just submitted my time and I'm looking forward to a great finish. 👍

With Clemi, Ron, Sjaak, Smallhorses and me doing 12.0 and GTXDriver and Jake coming right behind, 7 racers can contest victory this week, and 2 of them are division 2 members! :scared:

And I may have let victory escape due to not exiting well at the corner before the start of the lap :dopey: :D

Maybe it's about time for some promotions ;)

Submitting for the week. Just couldn't put it together for one smooth run. I don't feel too bad though as that seems to be the general concensus for this combo. I definitely had some serious fun though just watching the t-times drop last sunday as I got smoother and smoother with the setup.

gtbadboy: sorry to hear about the fall. We have been having some weird weather around my parts as well. 19 degrees farenheit today and rainy. Hit the ground and was turning to ice. It should be snowing at those temps but who know what's going on in the upper atmosphere. So much for the mild winter they were calling for. We've gotten about 1.5" ice and about 3-4 inches of snow in the past week. Good for racing though.

Hopefully these stand up midpack D2 as seems to be my now relegated position.

t1-19.160
t2-41.992
t3-1.13.135

Had time for one more session this evening. Fun combo, just wish I had some more time to work it all out.

Splits from my submitted lap -

19.596
42.554
1:13.674
