Big improvement at the s/f (-/- almost a full second) but it won't help me get a better placing at Luxy ...

26.005 - 57.879

Hate to say it but there's prolly not much more in it for me :grumpy: tho the combo was great this week :):):) Maybe I can pass Kevin at the finishline but Kenny is way ahead up there with the big boys 👍

Slight board adjustment

And some pics to compete with Kenny's excellent screwdriver shot:

I don't know how, but I must be doing something very bad at the 2nd sector. I can't get close to many times posted here  Any tips on how the hill should be taken?

Little improvement but improvement just the same.

25.354
56.267

Improved overall by .8 seconds though.
Seen a lot of 25.1xx's and a 25.0xx's, but thats real close to my best T2 all week. Can improve overall by at least .5 second if I put it all together, maybe .75.

Wow, you're sure following the directions in the first post!

Just give Div 1 a good run for their money. ;)

.75 more left, you say? That's enough to beat Mr P! Truly excellent times there. If you're not careful you might even win this week. ;)

No improvements from me yet, but I plan to go for a bit today and see if I can hit that (fluke?) T2 again and clean up the last sector.

I'm not the best person to give you advice, as I didn't do it at my best on my fastest lap. But I think after you go all the way to the left near the top of the hill, you want your car to get in the air a little to slide it and rotate it right on the inside of the right, meaning you should brake only a little before the crest and do the rest at the top of the hill. You can take the corner with a minimum speed near 120 mph, I think, but it's tricky to get it consistently right. I ran a little wide and had to lift to keep out of those foam things at the outside on my lap.

Clear as mud, right? :dopey:

Here's a snippet from my lap that has a 55.8 T2 ...

Maybe it will be better than words on this occasion 👍 Hope it helps :)

Nice lines there MR P its the same lines im ruffly taking just hard to get it all right on the same lap haha also O1GTP great time from u i cant get close at the momment ill give it a quick run now

Wow, this week is turning out really great

Some great splits from Ron, Mike, Kenny and Smallhorses 👍 Nice mix of divisions as well!

I had a 2nd go tonight after I had my first session two days ago. Took me 2 hours over 2 days to see my first 55 T2, but then I finally found out that you need to brake lightly going over the crest and leave some space between your car and the wall on the left and whoops, 55.6 . Didn't even mess up in the last sector haha :odd:

Splits:
25.113
55.664

Also seen a 24.984, but crashed immediately afterwards :ouch:

Will be interesting to see how much others can improve. In theory I can see another 3-4 tenths, but it ain't called in theory for nothing. Think I'll submit this time.

nice times hugo boss wow a 24.664 u must of crashed from the shock hard luck my friend still nice time cant believe someone as tops MR P for now anyways...

well i finally got in some good clean splits

T1 25.276
T2 56.346

I saw a T1 25.1xx T2 56.0xx but i clipped a wall just before the airpin :( when i looked back at the replay i wasnt happy lol and did this time just after i might get luck and hit a 55 who knows hehe

just one question how do u get your photos to work on PC never tried it jst wondered if theres anything to it

QUIK!

Damn! You're too fast, Hugo. :)

I finally got the last sector right, although I know there's more out there, partly since I finally got the first corner right and was ~.15 ahead of my ghost but was nevertheless .002 slower at T1 due to taking the right-right too slow.

T1 - 25.448 (seen .362 and could do even better :grumpy:)
T2 - 56.457 (Minuscule improvement)
Final - :D almost .3 better, and could still be improved - the last corner's just so hit-or-miss.

Edit: Mr P, how in the world can you take the double right so fast? I can only do it at 93 or so and keep it off all the walls. Guess that's just my lack of skill :P Your hill is nice too; I'm too inconsistent to have the nerve to go 117, even though I probably could.

By the way, great times, Quiksilver_GT. 56.0xx is entering alien territory.

Hi, everyone! Long time no see...

After being without a ps2 for ages, I'm finally up and running again 👍👍
...with an upgrade, I might add: I threw the MC2 out the window :yuck: and bought myself a DFP. It's going to take some time getting used to, but I really feel the difference. Also, I've never driven with force feedback (very tricky).

My intention was to wait with rejoining the WRS until my game completion to somewhere between 70-90%, but then Sphinx go and ruin my plans and comes up with a simply irresistable combo...
Well, before you know it, I'm up all night trying to figure out gear ratios

Here's the splits:

T1: 25.723
T2: 57.374

Again, REALLY good to see you all

Improved with .6 at the line, but my splits I posted earlier are faster so i'll leave them on the board :).

Maybe this youtube video from Mr P can help some of you. I watched it on monday and it helped allot.

When viewing replays in replay theater, during the pause screen it is actually the photo mode. When taking a picture save it to a USB device. I use a normal USB drive from Wal-Mart. You need a program to view the pictures. I believe most computers come with software that will work. Mine is a Kodak viewer from my digital camera. Kodak EasyShare software. I just plug the USB drive into the computer and the program takes care of the rest. If I want to have them on the internet I use ImageShack. Its explained how on the ImageShack page under FAQ. Of course you can ask here also. Once you do it a couple of times its real easy.
Here is another. This one has a link in it to a full size shot.

Thanks a lot for the video, Ron! 👍 You take the hill as I try to do, but a little faster. Still, that doesn't make for the 0.5 I lose at sector 2. I'll have a last session to try to improve the hill and to test new lines at the sequence before T2.

Oh Geeze I think I'm last!!! Somehow I got put in D2! Only got in about 25 laps so far. I love the car but the track isn't my favorite, more along the lines of a nice Sunday drive... lol

T1: 26.610
T2: 59.227

Maybe I'll get some more time tonight.

Brian

Been running in stealth mode this week, so I thought it was about time to get myself on the board.

When I first saw this combo, I thought this was gonna be great fun. I love this track, and the car is good. But I soon found out I just couldn't keep up with the racers I usually 'hang' with. Whatever I tried, I was just losing too much time on the track it seemed. So it actually became a bit frustrating in stead of fun :indiff:

But after a few tips from Andy and a few adjustments to my lines in certain corners, I'm finally getting some decent times in. Shame that I haven't got much time left to spend on this.

T1: 25.514 (saw 25.27x two times, but crashed in zero gravity cavity :yuck:)
T2: 56.765

Traded a slow T2 with a great finish for a much better T2 and a so-so finish. Not sure if I'm happy or not but I improved .5 at the line so I guess that's good. Haven't had much time to run this week, only the third session so far. Sigh ... Only twenty more years to retirement.

T1: 25.675
T2: 57.015

Finally managed a longer and more relaxed session and really started to make up some ground.

25.167 :)
56.451 :indiff:

Still losing a little on the corner combination before T2 and again coming onto the final straight. Glad I have some time to clean this one up.

Excellent Combo, Jerry. 👍

Kevin

Update:

25.406
56.793

and managed a decent finish on this one, pulled back .4s at the line.

300 gears, not much of a second sector, obviously.

25.246
56.766

So much action this week, welcome to the new members!

New board

Bri-Y/Brian, welcome to you but did you do a qualification session and submit to Sphinx/Jerry? If so I'd like your division and controller device for the board, if not please do so ASAP. Thanks! 👍

In for a spell... looks like 300 is the way to go for D1? Good to be here again, at least for a short while.

Hi Jake, 300 seems good to me 👍

I haven't ran this in a few days, yeeesh gota ways to go I see..

25.521 / 56.456

Last two sectors seem pretty good, just gotta link em to a decent t1.

cool, thanks. I'm sucking out now. I should run D3 power to make myself feel better...

edit: yikes, I'm a loser. I need to run this all week to be competitive. Those days are gone though... such a fun combo Jerry. I have no idea how the D1 guys are pulling it off. Goes to show how talented some of us are!

nice splits Kenny. You are movin' on up!

How we're running so fast? A lot of laps. In my case, around 100, I think. And most of them are of the crappy variety, with only a couple being fast and clean. You just need to figure out how to run each corner as fast as possible and put it all together in one lap. Something I'm still struggling with.

Now I'm watching myself slide further and further down the leaderboard... it was cool while it lasted, though. :dopey: Everyone's just so fast this week! Or at least more consistent and actually able to get all the corners right on their best lap. I think I'm either .125 ahead or .125 behind the bronze time this week.

Edit: arora, you're what, three inches ahead of me at T2? Of course, that means you're a couple tenths better at the finish. And with a T1 worse than mine; getting it right requires some luck, I've found.

Good call Austin. I think I need to run some more.... I'm off! :)

edit: now I'm just staring into the guardrail.... hey look, worlds longest lap. :) I think I'll submit my 5'06.848

Year:2000 Type:FR Power:443HP/7500rpm Torque:----

xoxoxoxooxoxoxo to my love Tammy!

New times guys probably still last but atleast i feel better. The 2nd sector is my nightmare... T1- 25.687 T2- 57.298

I've found if I run too many laps in a row on this one I get stuck in a comfortable slow pace :dopey: so just a few laps here and there inbetween household chores.

25.347 / 56.379

I think I can still grab a few more tenths before deadline.

EDIT: Picked up a little of that with these, good enough for now 👍 25.343 / 56.291
