Très bien, mes amis! :)
Imo Opera is the best "new" city track. Nice one ! 👍 👍 👍

certainly beats the pants off of the track it replaces... rome was horrible.

Screwed up the 4th corner a little, maybe lost .5s, but got better splits after only 5 more laps

T1 15.114 ( with the mistake)
T2 44.479, obviously would be in the 43's without mistake!

HATED last week, LOVE this week!

Oh and you can take the left after the straight with just a momentary lift of the throttle, no brakes!

Strange, mine does! I mite have managed to get an updated version from a similar source cos it's called 99%.max (do have the 94%.max too)

Pm me your e-mail address and i'll send you the 99% complete max file that does!
(it's too large for image shack to host)

Try your best at the qualification race though !
By that he means spend at least as much time as you expect to spend racing throughout the full week. So if you're going to put in an hour each day for the WRS, I'd recommend doing almost 7 hours of practicing the qualifier, surely that's not really how most of us have done it, but now that I know what I got into, that's how I should've done it... Welcome!

This week seems like it'll go well, I like MR cars, and this track is eh, alright for me, we'll see how it works out when I finish the Clio Cup... I'll be back with splits in a couple hours! 👍

Just threw in a quick 7 or 8 laps.

T1 15.598
T2 45.238

OK, they're not great, but I'm still finding the limits of the car and getting to know the little secrets of the track. Haven't put it on RSS's either.
Top Speed setting 230 kmh / no driver aids

^ dude... why would you give up man

not every week can be a walk in the park...

anyways .334 improvement, i still want to get .2 out of the lap~ then ill be done

0'14.091 ( seen 0'13.948 )
0'41.606

@KLR142 thks for the tip ;)

I belong to GT4Portugal, but this month (august) there are no races for the championship, so I'll start racing GTP just not to lose the mood.

Thks again..I've done something like 20 laps at Infineon and I think that I have a good time, but still with something like 1,5sec to improve ;)

Sorry for the off-topic.. :indiff:

this is so fun! some of the bumps can throw you off course badly, turn 2 for example, and turn 3 for that matter have both done it to me.

got a lap i didnt think would have been obtainable from the start

broke a certain second barrier

0'13.958
0'41.428

wish i could do a lap rundown, but the bumps make it unexplainable

230km/h is the top speed setting needed tho~

this combo appeals to me about as much as being read terry wogans autobiography by terry wogan, while listening to the crazy frog and being stappled in the eyes.....Phew....glad i got that off my chest......
dont give me that look, im not crazy...

I just can't get a clean lap... yet.

power, brake, turn, correct, swear, correct, more power, turn again, slide, correct, swear...

There's one bump just where I want to touch the brakes... it's like bouncing off Ayers Rock and landing in The Grand Canyon on the other side :ill:

That link doesnt work anymore

Update it with this one ballstothewall

every single car, all F1 in all colours and still crapload of cash.

Fun but frustrating little combo...
I just did about 15-20 laps, just to test out the track and the car.

Best T1 I have seen was 14.212.
Best T2 (with a way higher T1) was around 43.3xx.

I will do some more laps later.

Just one question, how do you guys do the last turn? I have pretty much everything else figured out, just have to work on taking everything at the highest speed possible. But I can't figure out a way for the last turn... I mean, the turn starts out wide and round and then, just at the exit - where you would need more room, it becomes straight and there's a nice big wall there :D

Later.

The Wizard.

i would guess the last turn should be taken as close to the inside as possible.....maybe straying out a bit to get a good run out of the end and closely missing the wall...

@ little_chips

Ta matie. have done!

Ok guys and gals,

Finished for the night, gotta get fat-ass out of bed and take foster-kid to court in the morning!

BUT before i go i want to leave you all with these:-

T1 14.901
T2 44.421
over .5 second off at s/f line!

Still loving this for a change, thou bumps right in/at racing-line/apex's are frustrating!

AND this

Thanks, Randymcchickenf 👍
It seems pretty logical, now that you said it and I was trying that as well.
But it seems the times when I went way wider and ended up in the opening between the green bags I was able to get to the finish line quiker, hence my confusion.

Maybe I was just not taking the turn (while sticking to the inside of it) as fast as it can be taken - I will try again later.

By the way, you should have sticked with this week's race - it might seem frustrating at first, but then, when you learn the lines, it can actually be quite fun...

will give this one a go soon, and dont think ur safe out there miles in front hotboi, i will hunt u down like a wild dog!

T1-14.4xx
T2-44.5xx

Not sure where i am losing so much on t2. Prolly the chicane but I only ran ten laps.
Those bumps really do throw you off your line but they do allow you to sumtimes carry more speed through certain corners.

I am done for tonight.

*edit* I have stock gearing in it 260 km/h

I just managed a few clean laps, the best of which has these splits:

T1: 0'14.470
T2: 0'43.166

There's still half a second on the track, judging from the sums of the best sector times I have seen so far.

I think I am done for tonight, though.

The Wizard.
