I've got some splits to post:

T0: 0'00.000
Finish: x'xx.xx2

Luxy's leaderboard might look a little tight :sly:

ahahahaha.

THis is odd ... I dreamt we were on this track last night! :nervous:

No, leave it :P

Guys who have MSN/AIM and PM's will find out times anyway.

Plus now we can talk a bit more about racing line's and even a track walkthrough.

Plus now me and Koly have a week off (not that i was doing much anyway :embarrassed: :indiff: )

Fryz, what do we do with the board? SKip this week completely?

Fun little combo 👍

Just did about 15 laps, I can still see half a second max for me to gain.

Can somebody or CFM decide on what would be a good location for an approximate T time?

This way we will have something to discuss, at least :D

F: x'xx.xx4

Nice combo this week, i love slow cars. I will be trying it tonight, also will try to give a lap in a bicycle, maybe we can even go faster as its a mini track. :)

Let's all do this... Post your best full lap time after 20 laps. Is that okay CFM? That'd be a fun little challenge for those who have yet to run. For those who already have, and have done more than 20, I guess since it'd be unofficial, you can guess?

Should be interesting pending official sanction...

The only problem with this is that after 20 laps you are pretty close to your limit, already. I mean, I know I am. I watched and watched the current best lap replay I have (and that was done within the first 20 laps) and I can maybe see one or two spots where I could have gained 0.1-0.2 top. If we post that lap, we would pretty much give away what our final lap time will be +/- 0.5.

I think finding a good location for T1 would be a good solution, that way we will have some discussion going on during the week. Also, if no T1's are posted, people would lose interest pretty soon, as they will not have anything to aim at and they will think their lap is good enough as it is.

I mean, I feel like I have done quite a good lap, but I know that "somebody" will be at least 1 - 1.5 seconds faster. I would like to know how everybody is doing up until some point in the track, that way I can see how much off the pace I am. That would give me some more incentive to do some more laps.

Just my 2 (euro)cents.

Okay, fair enough. That's the problem with having magical driving skillz, no? :^) I can tell you now even though I have yet to drive that I'll be nowhere near my best at 20 laps! :^)

I think an unofficial T time is a good idea, but darned near impossible to get accurately I fear... Still, an indicator is an indicator...

How about a car's length before the SFL? :^)

Now back to work...

Yeah, your Million Magic Monday Monkeys (a.k.a. MMMM, for short) are known to work miracles :D :sly:

Too bad mine don't work :(

From what i can see, whilst touring round,

there are no markings on the track, or any obvious trackside landmarks that would serve as a T point. :indiff:

any landmarks such as marshall posts (which would be ok to use normally) are on the outside of the corners, not on a straight, and so are useless.

I am at a loss.

Anyone else have any bright ideas?

Neil

I was just watching my replay again, to see if I could find what a good spot would be.

How about the point when the car crosses an imaginary line starting from the end of the rumble strip on the left at the turn indicated by this picture.

I know the picture sucks, but it was the best one I could find in 5 minutes.

I hate to say it, and I don't want to sound flippant or anything, but let's just race! 💡

This is the same (lack of competitor input) situation we faced in the BC, and it just adds another dimension to the competition. :)

That's probably the best spot Wiz.

Imaginary line from the end of the left rumble-strip to the end of the last of the stalls on the right (the second one with a green motif ) OR the start of the chain-link fencing!

Nice one!

Votes?

Shunt. the only 'extra' dimension it would add is the tumble-weeds rolling across this weeks thread.
This ain't the BC, it's the WRS, and there is no-way this week is gonna be a 250+ post'er like normal without something to discuss.
Once the first run-through by a D1'er is posted the only thing to say would be "Damn that's fast" and "Time submitted"

Neil

I would go with that, Neil 👍

Let me check my replay again, to see what the part on the right looks like, I was only concerned with the rumble strips to start with, so I am not quite sure what you are talking about :D

EDIT: It looks like the chain-link fencing lines up better with the end of the rumble strip than the stall does.

In this case, my imaginary T1 would be:

T1: 0'25.6 +/- 0'00.1

The Wizard.

yeah! i will compete this week as my first week back, would have done last weeks but no time to get f1 car. lets see if i can compete with d2.

GTmaniac
Hm..is it allowed to cut that white line in the first chicane after the start?I think I got very close to it when preparing to make that first fast turn, not sure if I cut it though? :ill:

Lines don't mean anything this week, just keep at least a part of 2 tires on the track/rumbles at all times and you're legal.👍

the dog is back knowone probably noticed but the div2 racers . got a new DFP new seat and a nice race to start climbing the leaderboard again

I see close final times, short track in a slow car will be cool 👍 Im all for the imaginary T1, not very accurate though...but i guess its all we have. All this talk about imaginary T times and i see no reason why we wouldnt reach the normal amount of posts lol

one thing about arcade races that are worthwhile

is after, you can submit you time into the database over at gtrp...

Can I take an imaginary friend with me as long as we're imagining ?

Imaginary line is fine, my motto has always been"close enough"

This little car is pretty easy to figure out, not near as complicated as the F1. What a difference going from the F1 to the F1964.

Yeah, I was having some trouble putting a lap together because of the blinding speed.....

But I think I've got it under control now :)

Anyone else leaving that hairpin at a blistering 40-43 mph?

I think it needs a clutch and flywheel upgrade, other than that I think it's going to be pretty cool... Not badly balanced, I like how it slides...

The car seems well to drive once you get used to it. And the track. I'm sure I can cut off a couple more seconds when I get the right lines. Now, I having trouble finding that imaginary line. I see fencing all over the track.

T1: unknown
T2: under a minute. That's all you need to know. :P

Anyone else think this one totally rules?!?!? I'm lovin it! About 2 hours in and time is really flyin by. If only I can nail that last turn...hhmm....

EDIT: Trimmed a touch more time, I dunno if I 'll bea this lap :nervous: 👍 :)

jump_ace

I have no troubles with the last turn, its that damn hairpin before the small s's....
If I could keep up a little more speed through that, I'd be happy, I have to work on it though.....
And yeah it's pretty fun, I knew all that drift practice in my supra would payoff....lol
My DFP is hating me right now..... :D

Man I really cant imagine trying to do this one on a dfp. No way Jose....my ds2 is primed and ready for this one, time will be an issue this week tho.

jump_ace

Hm.. well, I *think I'm about maxed out already. Would be great to get to a certain mid-second barrier, but I think that's asking too much. Maybe .2 off that.. should be an interesting week.

I'm doing this one on a DFP, and I'm loving it. It's wonderful to drive a car that you can steer on the throttle rather than with the wheel.

Great combo CFM. It's amazing how much fun you can have with 100 hp.

Absolutely awesome! Did some more time just now on top of my two laps earlier today. This is definitely a great combo, only main thing that it's lacking is the T times! But that just adds to it!

Pat(Tuff240) left me a time to chase while I was at work, maybe I'll convince him to play some more and submit this week!

Kolyana
Fryz, what do we do with the board? SKip this week completely?

I've added in all the stuff, so it exists.

Ive just said no T times avaible in brackets next to motorland.

Thats about all we can do i think.

I just love this combo, I'm curious to know what I should be aiming for but it's also kinda neat not knowing, I was thinking of doing Zoky's trick of submitting now but I think I'd get hammered by everyone :)

I've also got two ghosts, one where the first half is good and one where the back half is really good. The back half blinder is the winner by about 2-3 car lengths so hopefully I can find 1-2 car lengths 👍

<edit> Okay I've got a lap that has two good halves finally</edit>
