I'm doing this one on a DFP, and I'm loving it. It's wonderful to drive a car that you can steer on the throttle rather than with the wheel.

Great combo CFM. It's amazing how much fun you can have with 100 hp.

Well one big influence for me is that well I SUCK at the wheel, I know Kolyana LOVES to see me on the wheel, I can just picture her giggling at me when I screw up. But the wheel can be fun, it was real fun on Burnout 4!

What a HOOT! Gotta love this event... Did 20 laps, noted my time. Did a couple more and dropped 0.6" so I'm glad that that didn't count! :^) Only ran about 30 minutes last night on the DS2, but I'll be dragging out the wheel tonight for sure. See a LOT of time left out there.

Guess I'll play this week. Untunable car is the way I like it as I'm retarded when it comes to that. I maxed out already. I bet there's a lot more if people are drifting the middle part to the limit which I won't be able to do.

I posted it already and h0t6o4boi could you post the STWS#4 SSRoute5 replay on GTRP, wondering how that one was done. 💡

Untunable is fine as long as it's like this one with ample built in oversteer! I can't drive arcade cars with understeer balance. Usually need to go harder on the rear tires...

This one? 👍

I haven't done WRS in forever, but I am going to try this one. We aren't allowed to discuss our non-official times on this one?

That is correct, final time discussion is not permitted.

Usually we can talk about split times, but there aren't any for this track. That means everyone is flying blind. :)

Have you noticed when you end up sitting in the grass idleing, the nice low note of that little motor?

I'm already at my zenith, now it's just a matter of running that freak lap that we all believe is out there...well most of us.

Final Lap Time: pretty crappy!

I think i got mine too.... I might be able to pull off another one a lil quicker, but i am pretty much spent...lol....
I am about to go and do the Suzuka 1000km eduro, with my Amuse S2000 GT1 :)

First time I've been able to run in the past couple of weeks, looked like I missed some good ones. Nice little car to come back to though. Probably my favorite of the sub-100hp group. Ran for about an hour and am close to where I'm gonna finish. Originally came within 0.010 of my first goal, then shattered it by a good 0.5. So far I'm within 0.011 of my next goal. If I get there I'll probably submit. Tough to gauge where you are without a T-time to post, but I think that makes it that much more fun. Makes you think about if you can push harder without a reference to KNOW you SHOULD push harder.

/\ Good statement man. Agreed 👍

jump_ace

good thing we have MSN... i know 4 times, plus mine, so i know i SHOULD be pushing more...

ran some laps yestarday, and i got curious:

why a car that weights only 400Kg slides so much?

but, that has a bright side... fans of drifting (not really me, i suck at doing that) will be able to get a good time going sideways with this one... right now i´m 1 second behind my goal for the week, but at least i´m not getting so frustrated like last week, now i can complete consecutive laps without wall touches or bad starts!
:dopey: :dopey: :dopey: :dopey: 👍

interesting to see if the final times will be as close as it was in the week we did the altezza at midfield...

meh... had another15 laps.. improved 3 seconds.. from last time.. alright i guess, 2 seconds from my target... almost there

Important tips for a good lap, from my experiences so far.
1) stay in 3rd around corner before start,
2) use all the track at around the long right at the start.
3)brake down to 40, 2nd gear for the right next
4) the left coming out of this section can greatly improve times, if you get the right line.
5)dont brake; and struggle to keep 2 wheels on the track on the twisty bit

Gonna have to try out a couple f ur time there Rob. I have been taking the last turn in 2nd, but I'll experiment and see if it can torque out of the turn nicely.

I'm having a great time this week drifting this little gem around. Definitely use 3rd on the final bend. Driven it both drifting and "grip" and gotten about the same entry/exit speeds so I'm not sure if that matters.

BTW, who's up for a WRS photomode contest every week? Here's my current favorite...

Later!

Got my run in last night. Beat my best time by over .5 :dopey: found that sliding the car is not a good idea. Try to "drive" it not drift it. Hitting the start/finish line at about 80 mph. Best time just about 3/4 of a min.

Funny, I hit the start finish at 130! You must mean the entry speed of the final sweeper, which I hit at 80/81. 3/4 of a min. Funny! I'm closer to 0.0127 of an hour give or take 0.0005 oh an hour...

What would the units on those speeds be? Apple lengths per second? :D
Sure you are not going past the Start/Finish line @ 130 mph...

45.72 seconds +/- 1.8 seconds. Now THAT's what you call tolerance! 👍

Well, I figured I couldn't be TOO specific! I CAN tell you that I'm NOT at 43.92" without really giving much away...

-SHig

I know, I was just giving you a hard time about it ;)

Can you lend me some of your monkeys so I can get to the same ballpark of times you have? :D

Expecially the ones in the interval from 43.92 seconds to 45.72 seconds... I need your good monkeys :sly:

Mine are still not working full capacity...
How did you train yours to work so good?

Heh... There ARE no good monkeys. As you know, what they lack in skill I make up in volume! Besides, I think all I have are the 47.52" monkeys left. The rest took off to Mt Olympus to be with the immortals.

No good monkeys left, uh? :indiff: Bummer... :D

I guess I'll have to buy some more and increase my monkey volume. Make up for the lack of skills with quantity. Not a bad idea, after all.

I'll just have to run 1000 laps this week, that's all...

The Wizard.

You could also travel to Mount Olympus I suppose....But is it really worth it to get a time on WRS?

Personally, I'm using that smart gorilla from the movie "Congo". Yes, it's an awful movie, but if the Gorillas were driving Ginettas around Go-Kart tracks it would be much more entertaining.

Anyone else lost with this monkey business? heheheh. Of course I could sick my trunk monkey on ALL of you.... :sly:
Oh, and for the record, I'm betting that this week wil be much closer than the Midfield week.
