Hey fasj, don't feel so bad. You upheld the Golf name valiantly! I'm just at least 0.118" valianter! (Is that a word?).
I'll hopefully find another 0.1" or more to try to pull this thing out... Probably won't happen though.

37.037 (did crack a 36.9 but it was dirty and i am getting pissed off now chasing hundredths of a second)
didn't crack the minute barrier, and am a little disappointed coz i know it was there, but was still pretty close, good luck to those at the top of the board i will like to see how many people get under a minute in this one... oh and i was using the TT for the time i submitted...

Could do another .1 from T1->T2 but too hard to get a good T1 time. Only seen 18.950 max there. Thought I had a solid ending as well but found a few extra mph on last 2 corners, hopefully not a lot of time lost.
Never can really get the hang of GTmode races because I can't tune at all. After finals I'll dedicate myself to tuning in GTmode.

I you can get a Rotax Max 125 engine and race in the max class then rather do that.
The Rok is good but it aint brilliant.
CRG is probably one of the best chassis that you can get. I use a PCR.

Amazing times coming out of the woodworks late tonight. It's 12:30 here in Cali and I'm about to call it.
Found another 0.05".
What is it about the Golf and not being able to get under 19.000!? Damn frustrating because I've got a KILLER T1-T2 but it's all for naught (at T2 at least) because I'm (and fasj and jmgyro) giving up 0.05" at T1. Is it the aero of a brick that's killing straightline speed? The car is brilliant through the rest of the course... GRRR!

I can't believe how close the top 5 or 6 times are! Within a TENTH! Gotta be the closest since Midfield if not closer, and with THREE cars in the running. So much fun. Don't think we will top this week for a while.
BTW, I've put in about 12.5 hours into this one! Yes folks, that's right. Monkey style driving at its finest. I can't believe that iceman takes an hour out of his busy day and beats my splits! Aliens! They're everywhere...

Still, VERY close to being dirty. I'm gonna email my replay to a few peeps to see if they will verify clean. Here are some pics...
VERY close, but seems like the tire is over the rumble and no telltale puff of dust/dirt indicating an off.

About the pictures, you are about to go off right after that picture... If you hit select select really fast, you'd see that you're off. OR, if you're drifting a little bit, you COULD actually still be on... From the looks of it though, it seems you're not drifting or understeering... I can check your replay if you get it to me in less than a half an hour, but I'll be at work after that until after the results are posted. G'luck!

Just a little heads up for you guys. It seems that Kolyana, Luxy AND Small_Fry's are gonna be on a lil' vacation from the 23rd thru the 5th give or take. So yours truly will take care of the leaderboard it looks like. So feel free to chew me out when, and prolly be *when* I make some lil' errors in a few weeks. Late' all.

Believe me, I paused that spot and did the quick double select a BUNCH of times. You wouldn't believe the adrenalin rush of the PLEASE LET IT BE CLEAN mantra.
I can't remember who posted it but it was at Suzuka with the FPV I think, but the telltale puff of dust was supposedly a dead giveaway for overstepping the curbs. I see it on the dirty side, but nothing on the clean side. The beauty of that signal was that you would see it for a few frames at least if dirty, and none is evident on my replay.
As for the pics, that's the point at which I was tangent to the curbs and from that point it only gets cleaner. Momentum is carrying me back towards the track.
I'm sorry I missed your window for sending my replay.
Anyone else available to verify before posting time? I have a backup replay that's 0.15" slower but I'm afraid that's gonna be worth a couple of positions this week. :^(
I think I'm gonna end up living by the sword this week though. I'm pretty confident that it's clean. Can't be any closer though!

Decided to give the Audi TT a twirl and dammed if I didn't lower my times...albeit by a few tenths of a second..
Was able to scrape out a:
T1: 19.338 (Saw 19.201 but threw it away!!!!)
T2: 37.756
Final: Lower by 2-Hundredths of a second....
Not sure if I wanna keep going, seeing as those times were done 45 minutes ago and I can't get back closer to them!...mMMMM....guess one more hour or so won't hurt!

Im no expert but it looks like the momentum of the car is carrying it further off the course when i look at the angle of the car to the angle of the turn.

I've taken a look at his replay and his pics are a bit mis-leading...
When I first saw his pic, I would have sworn the car was going to much in a straigth line, based on the angle of the cars tires, to have caught up w/the angle of the curb...however, in reviewing his replay...SHig is right...the cars momentum does in fact carry his car just over the rumble strip enough to have kept 2-tires on the track...and I'd be hard pressed if anyone could find anything illegal about it!
