The leaderboard is going to be pretty boring this week :P
Not that much.
Yet I notice that the 0.5 sec accuracy has become a 0.1 accuracy in the facts, since many times say x.699 or x.799.
Fine for me. I think that posting the final time to the thousandth remove the part of fun that comes from uncertainty. I'd rather have people wonder till the results are posted if they are ahead or behind the other racers who posted the same 0.1 accurate time.

I'm going to attempt this considering the deadline is on my B-day! That would be a nice b-day present to finish in a good spot. Now wouldn't it? So everyone go easy on me so I can win. lol..j/k

Well after 3 laps I ran a 1'26..I hope to get that down significantly. Are you guys running TCS? I'm thinking about turning it off. My speed limiter is set to 350km. This is a fun combo BTW ;)

Wow Everyone is coming back! I argee with Shig, I'm aiming for a 21, but a 20 could well be possible.

i wouldn't mind cracking a 21 as well, but i would need all new lines at the moment, plus some Red Bull to hustle this beast around Fuji quick enough for a 20... :scared:

SO, uh Lets see, 725+hp in a car i've never driven, on a track I've only raced maybe three times.....Also using a new cockpit i just made, and on an old small :( tv, because the damn contraption I made is too bulky for the living room.... I love this week...lol (oh how i miss my component cables )

So, after about 15 minutes I am in the low 26's clean but could see myself taking alot off of the time, provided i actually try this week... :)

1:22.3xx and a low .3 too. Another hour into this thing, totaling around 2 hours. I had a huge light bulb go off in my brain tonight about the braking points (and how the car is going to react) so once I had a bit more practice under my belt I got a sub 1:23 the very next lap, and the next one and the next one....:sly:

LB Updated

1'22.8 (with TCS, yea I'm a wuss...)

I don't see how you people can be thinking of going in the 1'20s, I don't even think 1'21 is possible for me right now, even on a perfect lap. This track sucks, and the car sucks even more.

This one's a challenge...phew!!! After my first session I've got:

Finish: 01'22.6xx

I could maybe see a 1'21 but it'll have to be a perfect lap. Oh...and this is without aids and at 350 gearing 👍

Couldnt we limit the lap time discussion to the nearest second and then ignore the points of a second? It takes all the fun away...

Someone is gonna come in and say "I did a 1'20.1xx" while the other guys are doing 1'20.9xx's, so we will know the winner before it has even started. But if it was to the second (literally If you are in the that second barrier then you talk about that second barrier) the they would both be doing 1.20.xxx's and there would still be that bit of excitement left.

Please could you consider this. Coz at the moment I don't see how not mentioning the last two digits is going to help much on such a big track.

That probably works well with more people, but with next to no one racing this week, and according to the leaderboard, the top 5 in the same second barrier, I don't think it really matters.

Maybe we could make a rule that you can only post to the nearest whole second in the last 48 hours or something. I don't know. I'm too tired.

Question Flat-O:

If less then 3 people submit in D2, do we get Gold, Silver, or Bronze?

man i just broke in to the 28's dose any one suck as bad as me :) by the way i hate this track and love the car

About the time we are allow to mention, I first asked to mention only the nearest half a second only so that the final ranking would not be too obvious.
I must admit that I prefer to have such a low accuracy than a 0.1 accuracy.
Kart's suggestion to mention only the seconds, ignoring all the tenths, hundredths and thousandths looks fine to me.
If you already mentioned a 1'22 and then you say that you've improved by 0.3 and you're still in the 1'22, everybody knows that you're obviously under 1'22.7 but not more.
I kinda like it.

As for the gold/silver/bronze system, if 2 racers only submit in one division, both of them are silver. It's a mathematical characteristic of my calculation.

Well if I state how far I've improved then it's pretty much the same as stating my new time since I've already posted a time to the tenth of a second? I'll just say...I've beaten my old time by a substantial margin but I'm still in the 1'22 bracket.

Nothing to report from me, but if I get Drew's MC by Saturday I'll certainly try and ensure that you have an extra driver in D2 this week (although it'll probably be more of a D3 time :P)

Board updated.

am really ****ty at the moment, at some points during laps i have been around 0.6-0.8 ahead of my fastest time (or so i reckon) but i keep ballsing it up in the back half of the lap, i reckon if i get hooked up on a single lap i will crack a high 1'21 but that is as far as i will get this week, just got to stop being ****ty...

After the first short session I'm at 1'26.

Like many others I hate this track, but it gives an opportunity to have some very good sessions, where I improve a lot. I hope to find the time to return at least a couple of times. :)

Hmmm... I just did my first 4 laps of this course... gaining about 5 seconds per lap!!! I love & hate this course... Love because there's nothing quite like a course where you've got to be fully committed to the turns before you can even see them:) :) :) ... Hate because Polyphony did such a half @$$ed job of rendering this track:crazy: ... and no Ttime? What's up with that? :ouch: this could have been one of the best tracks in the game, but instead it looks like something out of pole position:yuck: ... currently circa 1:32.xxx... Down from about 1:55.xxx ten minutes ago...:scared:

After an hour I've got a lap in 1.21.xxx with the gearbox set on 350 km/h and no driving aids. It's far from being a perfect lap so I think there's room for improvement 👍

Sheesh! After an hour... So, what's the secret? Are you running DFP or DS2? Any drifting or all grip?

Great time, knew it was doable...

The secret is that he isn't from this planet :P

Excellent time there Zikwik... I just wish we could know a little more of where in the 1'21 range you are, but I'm almost scared to find out.

After chasing my ghost for an hour last night, I noticed that on my fast lap I had a very deliberate and relatively damped brake application on my faster lap. I wonder if this isn't key to not upsetting the balance and causing severe understeer. Also, for those having problems with the first fast right sweeper, I start in fifth gear, then left foot squeeze the brake momentarily while full on the gas and downshift to fourth, then back up to fifth. No oversteer whatsoever. Don't know if it's faster or slower than feathering the gas, but I know that I'm RIGHT back on the gas exiting instead of semi-coasting and there's never a hint of tail out OH SH%T!

I've done no-downshift as well, but I tend to push wide on exit doing that ruining my braking and turn-in to the next left leading to the middle straight.

Hope that helps.

I wouldn't mind telling in what range I am but It's no longer permitted ;)
