BTW, I got my PAL version of GT4 working. It won't work I don't think unless you output VGA or have a PAL TV tuner. When synchronized to NTSC video, it runs faster than normal (stopwatch is running like 5/4ths speed or so if feels) so the physics and visuals are all wacky. Unplayable for me. OTOH, if you run NTSC on a PAL console, does that mean that you play at molasses speed? That SHOULD give you better precision and timing right? :^)

Also the screen size is not optimized so I get some stretch and distortion so it's not as pretty. On the flip side, I did get to see what Prologue was all about, too bad the speed thing is an issue with that as well.

Oh well...

Ok, I don't want you to think that I don't care or don't want to answer, but I just saw all the talking from today and it'll take me at least one hour to read everything and reply.
I'll first go back home, do my family duties, then when all 3 kids are in their bed take care of the results and only after that I'll reply to this.

Is it allowed to have an opinion? Even when you don't race regular in the WRS anymore but still have submitted at least 40 race times in the past?

I followed the WRS about two years now and do noticed the changes.
Some positive such as the gold times which have to provide a replay.
Some negative, like the many submitted dirty times.
Most of them are from obliged replays and I fear the outcome when all the replays are reviewed unexpectedly.Like a dope control at the Olympics.

Stories about it is only a game,I don't care if lower divisions screw up,only the experience div.1 matters to me,we are all friends here and you are not a friend of mine so shut up,One,two or more mistakes are allowed,get a life(That one is truly original ) shows the mentality shown this day.
It's a free world so everybody can say what's on his mind but also everybody can agree or disagree with this discussion.

I could quote everybody but that will be a to long post I guess.

In short,Niels,small and Sphinx have such strong points that it is hardy to imagine people are opposed to those points.

Time to submit.

I submitted my times yesterday, we shall see how it goes I guess.

I checked my replays for an hour yesterday, and I will check them for another hour today, until the deadline.
If I do find a mess up, I have two clean backups that are only .05 ish slower in each, and I will post those instead and ask for my time to be changed.

Just to tie this up (because I also indirectly started it).
It is a big deal for a dirty lap to be submitted, but I learned from it and moved on. It was my second race, I was cocky and screwed up.
I apologize for not checking my replay enough (I did check it, but only once at 12 midnight the day of the deadline), partially starting the biggest flame war I have ever personally been involved with, and eating up bandwith with tons of angry posts.

Shig, in regards to your reply, as far as i know if you see a puff of dust then it is dirty as a puff of dust only comes from when the "whole" tyre drops into the dirt.

But without seeing the reply it would be hard for me to tell.
