Since I sort of started all this, I think I better have to say something too. Sorry I'm a little late, but sleeping and working is also a part of my life.
First it seems like this has developed into some rather nasty personal attacks and name calling. Seems like the issue have been very painful for some to talk about and that makes it evident for me that something is rotten and this issue
need to be dealt with. One way or the other.
Overall it seems important for everybody that we follow the rules. 👍 But apart from that it seems to me, that we have split into two groups.
One group, who think it's the
racers obligation to check their own replay, and do that properly.
And one group, who think it the
race administration obligation to check the replays. (or it's no big deal to get them checked at all. I'm actually a little in doubt on that).
If I have to trust the people, who think that checking replays properly is no big deal, those people have to submit replays every week. That's no problem for a racers like hollo and Mister Weary, who actually do that. 👍
BUT if a racer at the same time DON'T submit his replay, AND think it's no big deal, whether it's clean or not. How can I trust his time is correct and within the rules, if he doesn't even know that himself?
And the last thing I wanna say once more, is that I still find it very disrespectful NOT to check your own replay properly. Disrespectful because others have to do, what you could do easier. Disrespectful because it shows you think your time is more valuable, that the time of the replay checkers. 👎
I doesn't look like we gonna find a solution on the issue right now, so I'll back off for now. But I really think we need to come together in some kind of agreement or understanding, if the WRS is gonna survive as a reliable institution in the OLR community.
