nah mine understands i need my time to chill out and race, so she goes and stays out of my face for a while...

and whilst she is out i had another crack and pulled another 0.6 off of my time, am very dark though coz i lost 0.6 in the first sector

I met a girl when I was 18, who was a fan of video games, RPGs and fantasy books, exactly like I was (and still am). She's first been my best friend for about three weeks, then she became my girlfriend. We spent nights playing RPGs on the PC, weekends roleplaying with friends (I mean RPGs with paper, pen and dice), etc.
16 years later, she's my wife, we're married, have 3 kids, and she still plays RPGs on the PS2. She's not perfect, ok, she doesn't play racing games, but still I'm pretty satisfied

Just recovered from our Staff vs Student cricket match and........we beat 'em 👍 I top scored in the staff innings with 36 of our 154 off 25 overs and we had the kids 4 wickets down for 3 runs after 2 overs and we were starting to feel bad but they had a 5th wicket stand of like 80 runs and came back pretty well...just not well enough

However I copped a killer of a migraine for the rest of the day and am only just able to move without feeling like throwing up so I don't think I'll be racing tonight, but keep an eye in your rear view mirror Luxy...I ain't done quite yet

Nice work guys 👍 👍 👍 I knew Dan wouldn't be able to leave it alone with that much left in it. And I agree, it's a great rally - there's so much to think about ... line, drift, turbo lag it's awsome.

I got to get in another session and stay ahead of you guys. I'm having the same problem as you MisterWeary, I can blow my splits away, but can't put a clean lap together. I've got a killer headache this morning (too much GT yesterday, I think). I'll have another go soon

Bah, i had one or two quick laps at this, then sat down for a full on 45 minutes session, and i saw the problems inherent, like using your throttle off-turbo to steer, and having to get your powerslides just right etc.

I ran out of patience before i grew love for this combo, and threw in the overalls.

I guess the nurb is much more my cup of tea.
How terribly english of me to say so.

I gotta agree Dan, this race is damn fun 👍 I think I've spent more time on this race than any other so far, it's just addictive, it's like Skittles or Pringles, you can't just have one (lap) I have thoroughly enjoyed this week and losing to shockwave and Luxy is no big drama, you guys have put down some awesome times, even if I find my best T3 (1'06.4) I'll not be close enough to pip you I suspect so I'm just about ready to concede defeat however two nights to go, maybe something new will "click"

Nearly .2 faster at T3, but more than .6 faster at the line. There's a close call with the wall just before the finish, but I've viewed it several times and also checked the analyzer to be sure there is no touch.

I have a new found respect for the heroes who used to punt these Group B monsters on the World Rally stage, and a greater understanding of why they were banned.

The S4 was indeed a monster. Did you know that it featured both a supercharger to give power at low revs and a turbo to give power at higher revs ?
And in 1986, during the F1 week-end at Estoril, Portugal, Toivonen and co-driver Cresto lapped in 1'18.1. The poleman was Senna with 1'16.7, and with its time the Lancia S4 would have qualified in 6th position !

and with all that power i still can´t get clean laps with this car... maybe if i ran in a 2 minute pace i can manage one. i just don´t get rally in GT. in week 9 i was able to race, and to have fun, lots of laps and stuff. since then i didn´t try rally... only colin mcrae... i didn´t know i was that bad at rallying on GT... still haven´t found a solution to stop throwing the car from one wall to the other... even at 40 or 50kph, its just to slippery... hopefully they put REAL rally phisics in GT5... well, i guess its just monday left to try to understand this combo... something i was not able in my 30-40 minutes so far

i say, francisco, it's nice to hear from an 80xgold gt crack that rallying in gt4 is so hard. i thought it was me but it looks like i've got friends in my league ...

Agreed!! Everyone (except a few) will turn in crappy times this week.

I finally have my times that I'm going to submit this week... They still suck... But I did beat my previous time by over 5 seconds, so that's a really good improvement, in my opinion... (Practice makes perfect, I suppose...)

I did try the DS2 for a short while, then realized that I've been driving with my DFP for so long that I just plain forgot how to drive with the DS2... So I stuck with the DFP... Not too bad, really, once you get used to steering with one hand and shifting with the other -- if you steer with two hands and try to use the "paddle" shifters, it's nearly impossible...

So here are my final times:
T1: 27.580
T2: 50.519
T3: 1'10.955
END: more than 5 seconds faster than before...

And keep in mind, over the entire week I spent about 3 hours total racing time, and only had THREE clean laps the whole time!!! Very tough combo -- but a hell of a lot of fun sliding around in the dirt. 👍

Ran another last hope session tonight, and improved a bit, but I'm really disappointed I couldn't do better. I know I'm capable of it, but I can't get it together. Very frustrating ...
