Back to racing this week:
Current splits are okay, but still 4 seconds plus slower than Dan.
As for my lap, there were a couple of places (exiting the tight left hairpin near the start and into the wide sweeping left about mid-lap) where I come super close to hitting the cobblestone wall and the fluorescent orange plastic fencing but I can't tell for sure if it's a hit. Replay / photo shows maybe a mudflap hitting or something like that, but NO SPEED LOSS on the analyzer.
I've gone back and purposefully hit the wall and the plastic fence and noticed obvious speed losses, but I'm wondering with really light glancing blows on rally that they don't show up? Or were my two near misses THAT close!? Sure look questionable on replay. I know that silly little non-existant wall drags on street courses usually end up with at least 1 mph loss in one frame of the max resolution analyzer... I know I can go faster so the legality of that particular lap isn't in question per se, but just in case later in the week I have another close call...
Can we say that for this week that the absoulute proof for wall touches is the same as other weeks? Analyzer over photo?
Thanks,
-Scott
