GT4 WRS Week 5: "Big Apple with a side of rice"

My tv is broken and I cant play GT :/ That means that my time will be poor this week - I will make some laps tomorrow on my parents TV so I could at least submit time but it will be lousy(not too much time to play and also car doesnt fit me very well). But the worst is that I will not have alot of time to week 6 Nurb is a great track and I will not drive on it too much :/

I´ve got few improvements in T times but in lap time i got down 0.3. Im sure i can down more 0.5 or like that, but lets go step by step.

T1 i sucked, i was turning many times in 26.9, and i got: 27.217
T2 i was good overall but i can down too: 1"02.043

Think its good now. But i can down at least 0.5 of that. As i hate FF cars and my DS2 too, im not that happy to race this WRS. This needs too much smoother driving so im 200% sure that with the DFP i could make the laps easier and faster. Hope someday to order one, and throw my DS2 through the window.

just can't improve, no matter what settings. Thanx eveyone for sharing settings, but in the end i think the limiting factor on this track is me!

Gonna submit what i have and relax for a couple of days, maybe even do some golding of licences for a little light relief! lol

Maybe even try knitting some fog, compared to this weeks combo, i mite get better results.

Blah, I've only spent like, 2 hours total on this since tuesday. Got my Financial Accounting finals in like... 9 hours. Plus I'm a piece of turd in the SRT-4 anyway so maybe I should skip this round...

I wonder which would be worse, submitting a slow time (27.8 T1 & a high 1'04 T2 & you can guess the final) or just not submitting at all.

Spent far too long on this one, and still nowhere near some of the top D2 drivers Did manage these splits though, but alas, couldn't quite hold it for the whol lap (T1 27.272 T2 1'02.8xx)

Well fed up with this one.

Couldn't beat the time I did on Wednesday, had no idea what I was doing. My average laps were around 2 seconds slower than Hot and Holl's at the second split. I can't wait to see the replays just to see where I was so poor. Gonna Submit.

Good luck to all the folks who are taking exam's (seems like a fair few). I remember doing my finals. Stay calm, deep breaths, allways read all the questions fully before you do anything else. I feel sick just thinking about it

Yeah, best thing to do is make sure if it says answer one question from this section, and not all questions then that is what you do, or vice versa, actually, thats probably just upsetting/confusing you all, so ignore what i just said.....

Anyway, in terms of the race, i hate it, and im slow, and a girl is beating me, so i will not be attempting to improve, but i cant wait till the nurb, as im gonna find out how slow i really am, and WHERE i am slow.

I hope the car we use on the Ring is the BMW 320i touring car. I love that thing. Not too fast, handles great and looks beautiful, all decked out in race trim.

I hope it's not the Jag race car from the 80's (purple and white). I had a run on this combo, and I spent more time spinning around hitting walls than staying cleanly on the track.

Don't get too bent out of shape over those folks that are actually speedy around the track. I know I drive around and around, get all excited about my times, then check the leaderboard.

I've got it down to one of 3 possibilites:

1. All these people are better than I am
2. They spend more time getting better lap times than I
3. Magic

But somewhat seriously, on this track the settings are important. If you're running a pure stock (with all the additions car), you're definitely leaving time on the track. Try holl01's settings, I've had some good time improvements with them (not that I'm a good benchmark! )

I have been tweaking a few settings and while I can match my sub 1'03 time, I haven't beat it yet ... I'll have another go at it later, or tomorrow, but for now I need to see what this Forza is all about.

Not that this is a germane follow up to this thread, but any feedback on Forza?

I must admit my main attempt is to get you busy with Forza so I don't lose too much ground to you on the leaderboard!

I ran in the 1'03's stock ... all the HP and a small gear ratio change to accomodate the long straight, but with nothing else adjusted and the gear ratio actually being *wrong*, it is still possible to run in the 1'03's.
