okay, my (rubbish!) splits so far are:

t3 - 2,11.778
t6 - 4,38.562
t9 - 6,58.030

Still much to be improved on though..

Its killing me not knowing what cars everyone's chosen!!! I wanna know if the one I picked is popular or the fastest or just plain rubbish!!

There are four that I know of... *edit* (removed the names of the countries from which they come)

*edit* I just read that Casio tested TEN cars? I wish I could figure out which ten he tested -- I couldn't find more than 4 that qualified...

Some must be different versions of the same car, or a slight variation if that means anything.

Dont seem to be making much progress here, I have tested many cars after deciding I may not have picked the best all rounder....but ended up back with my first choice, some new T times, slower at T3, .5 up at T10 and 1.3 up on final lap time.

Not as much in the lap left as I thought....

T3 = 2'10.730

T6 = 4'34.203

T9 = 6'50.156

I've done three laps so far, in the first car I've chosen. Saw 2'11 and 4'38, then went wide and spun out, and lost at least 10 seconds leading to a 7'10... I'll keep playing with this car for a bit, then I'll try out whatever other ones I can find that meet the requirements.

I assume everyone's posting their splits from the actual races? I guess it doesn't really make that much of a difference if some of you are passing the AI before the S/F line... I am currently passing the AI at the first turn...

The testing was fun, got me re-aquainted with the course. Feel confidant I picked the best aa around ride....hope those words don't come back to haunt me...like so many do!! Don't have splits yet. This is a great one!!!

With splits like that I gotta agree with Cyril, something smells wrong, a Div 2 posting splits faster than holl01 is inconssccceevabul unless you've found some uber-1.8 that no one else has seen??? If it's legit then welcome to Div 1 buddy 👍

Lol thanks Mister, I have a ton of Awsome Avatars, I did have the Dale Earnhardt one but I changed it. No Its all legit times. I plan on getting DQed, because I dont have a Replay device, but hey If I know I can run that, than im happy. This is all for fun anyway eh?

Finished another race or two with my current car...

Managed to keep this clean until T10, but it's worth posting and good nuff to put on the leaderboard. I can see myself only getting another 2-5 seconds out of this lap, with some good time spent doing hotlaps to get it all down.

For the third time, I have triple checked EVERYTHING. I am running N3 Tires, a XXXXXXX car, within the CC range( I pmed Flat_out) and a single player, open top nur 1 lap arcade mode.

When I signed up for the WRS about three weeks from the switch over to GT4, I was DIV 3. GT4 came out, new qualify race also, I bumped up to DIV2. I quit after week 7, for life issues, but also got Forza because some local friends had it online. I became one of the best people in the world on Nurburgring. I raced it all the time. I won all the time. I practiced fine tuning on GT4, and then applied it to Forza. I had about 4000 races when I quit xbox about a month ago.

I still know the ring like the back of my hand. Im looking into a Maxdrive, but until then, I am just going to run well... Flat out lol... If I get DQed, I get Dqed. But I know I ran legit, and its just for fun anyway. But I hope to have a maxdrive by the end of this month.

So here's the deal... I sat down again, and tried maybe 5 different cars... Was suprised with the results and characters of some of the cars at higher speeds. Came close to my first car's results with only ONE of the cars that I managed to try out. But, it was still slower than the first car I chose. So, I went back and did a few laps/races in my original car, and can't seem to find much more time in it. MAYBE a couple seconds, MAYBE three at T3 if I do everything as well as I can, but I don't see another 10 seconds in it... So, that must mean there's another car out there? I dunno, can't think of any... We'll just have to see just how much I can trim down with this car. Then maybe I'll try out some of the other ones again.

And, here's a question, can we use ANY tires on the AI car? Like, put the Sports soft tires on the AI car? As long as we still use the normal tires of course?

And, for those of you who've mentioned passing the AI before the start/finish line, , out of the 6 or so combos I've tried, NONE of them had a car THAT slow. I mean there have been some of the slowest cars in the game against me, but EVERY car I've tried bumps against that one last right before the S/F line. And even if they didn't, I can't imaging them getting around the AI before the S/F line...

Holl, Stroker, are you guys getting around the AI before the race even starts? Is that a legit question?

I don't think anyone's having a go at you Stroker, not in any way...we all just wanna make sure everything's hunky dory. I've been watching holl01 race for 30-40 weeks now and the dude is practically impregnable. His current Nurburgring best lap is the second or third fastest lap I've seen recorded anywhere in the world, so for a Division 2 racer to come in after hiatus and post splits faster than him on a Nurburgring race causes an eyebrow raise...but seriously, all credit to you man...with splits like that you ought to get a MaxDrive ASAP and have a crack at beating some of the Nurb records around, there's heaps of coveted records that it would appear you'd have a damn good shot at beating 👍

Had another quickie session in my so far fastest car, and really can't picture myself going anywhere near 10 seconds faster. Granted, they're D1, but, I dunno. Maybe I am using the right car, maybe I'm not. Lol, the suspense this week!

The () parts are my goals for this week I think... In this car anyway, and how I'm currently driving the track...

should be able to get down to a 6'41 at T9... not using anywhere near all the road yet...

i have to say this is how the Nurburgring should be raced, lowered powered cars, where mistakes cost more than 0.1 and concentration is required throughout the lap, i am having more fun driving this than any mega-powered car around here... the super quick cars can be highly tempermental and difficult to catch whilst this week mistakes are much easier to catcha nd the track can be enjoyed (well by me anywayz) instead of getting pissed off with it... best challenge in weeks!!!

Well after 3 laps that were all quicker T's than my previous best but all ultimatly slower at the line I finally managed to improve with my pocket rocket.....

T3 = 2'10.346

T6 = 4'33.638

T9 = 6'48.575

Overall 0.5 up on previous best (Must have had a good finish on that previous lap)

Although compared to other similarly paced people i seem to be losing quite a bit of time from T6-T9 (about 2 seconds). I'm not sure exactly which corners i'm getting wrong but i've got a feeling it could be the double right hander after the drop down (Pflanzgarten 1 according to the map) because a flat out section follows this so if i'm not getting it right it's gonna cost me. Are people braking for this one or is anybody taking it flat out? Maybe i'm just braking too much?

I can't speak for flat-out but I can say this...
You should be dis-qualified if you are already admitting to the fact that you can't back up your time and don't plan to do so.

In fact, I am wondering why you would officially submit a time if you know you can't support the submission.
If you submit and it can't be supported than all you will be doing is stealing a spot from another fast racer with the ability to support their runs (since nearly everyone at that level supports their runs).

If you truely are un-able to support your run at the end of the race week, I suggest you submit as "unofficial" or just don't submit and post the run on your own in the results thread.

Quite an amazing lap you've done there so I would love to see it... That being the case, I'm with everyone else here... I suggest you get a Maxdrive!
If you can afford an X-box and a PS2 as well as broadband net access then I am sure you can afford 30 bucks at the local best buy. 👍

Btw, I still haven't done any more racing, but with the way I'm falling behind all of D1 I'm starting to wonder about what cars are out there... I thought I had the best car possible... Maybe I do and I'm just slow and out of practice or maybe I don't and I need to do some research?

I have a horrible feeling Ive overlooked a car somewhere too....Keep checking the manufacturers to make sure,

Will be interesting to see what everyone went for when this finishes, Im 95% sure I have picked the right car, I just need to find tons of time from somewhere!

Hey Stroker!

Don't quite know why nobody else has suggested this, but there are at least one or two guys in the WRS (Drew22 for one) that hale from Florida, have a scout about and PM em!

At the very least you could post a memorycard with your really fast lap:tup: to one of them and they could verify it for you.(you will have till Tuesday week to be verified)
If you are reasonably close, a quick trip out would do the same.
Then you could shut the doubting Thomas's up, avoid getting a DQ, and get on with enjoying the racing.

And yes I am aware of how big Florida is before anyone mentions it.

Yeah, I had Drew22 PM me, I have that Idea in mind. I dont want people to think im taking away so ill prolly do whayt Kent said, and submit as and Unofficial. Money has been tight for me. I did sell my xobox and all its game, because I got bored of it. SO i used that 100 bucks or so for other stuff. I only have a couple of extra dollars every week to do what I want with, and thats why i might not be able to get a maxdrive so soon.

As for going to someone elses house or mailing my memory card... ITs not that I dont trust them, but its just a game, its not so important that i need to mail my memory card 300 miles to get it verifyed and then returned.

Its a nice idea and all, but Its no big deal to me. I just love the ring, expect that next week ill be a normal DIV 2 racer again.

I most certainly have been, but I think I may be in the wrong car. Even if I AM in the wrong car, I'm sure there's going to be a very slight brake here of some sort. That's just the thing though, finding out just how little you need to brake for all the turns, and just get the car stable before going through the turn. That's where I think most of the time is going to be made up, and then of course, being able to use ALL of the track at the same time... 👍
