GT4 WRS Week 50 Results

So the NTSCers have put those PAL replay checkers to shame for the 2nd week in a row! Maybe you should goad us more often Cyril!

Talking about an NTSC / PAL competition, what about making a WRS team event, where in addition to the standard results I would add up all PAL times on the one hand and all NTSC times on the other hand to see who are the fastest ?
This would be decided in advance so that everyone can do their best for their region team ?

Well here are two replays I've been meaning to get loaded up. 👍

The MG since I've gotta earn my trust just like everyone else and the Falken since I can't remember if I loaded it for the results of that NRS race.

My main concern however, is that I forgot to download one replay I wanted to post and didn't even have another... Those two being...
A VW Nardo @ the Ring on N2 tires (forgot to load) and the Yellowbird N tire lap from the WRS a few weeks back (must have erased the replay during my time away from the GTP).
In any case, I will get the Nardo lap up next time I use the sharkport.

Anyway, hope you all had fun with this race like I did.

Hi Cyril,

a couple of things, I mentioned in my last post that KLR142 is 👍
just before I mentioned the 👎 lap.

Secondly could you convert the replay file from Kent into .max format for me so I can verify them? Sorry to be a pain but I only have a corporate laptop and I'm not allowed to install downloaded software.

You're actually not far off the mark!
I'm from England, was born there and lived there for 26 years, but I now live in California!
The Mini is just something I hope to import here one day.

Kyle's replay is clean, I've mentioned it in 2 posts already! This is the hat-trick!

For that reason I wish the random car color selection had been better than red.
It was awesome to have the two cars match up (both the TF and G35 were red) but I would have preffered to have recorded a blue car race.

Not sure whats going on, but it could be a glitch in the game (NTSC) or a car specific glitch. These are the tire types that are available to me to use that the game allows. Economy, Comfort, Road, Sports H-M-S and that is all that available to choose from, so note sure where the Normal type of tires come from unless you have to buy them for the car first in GT mode or something.
Maybe someone can look into this cause i can't find out where or how this is.

normal tires for PAL:

N1 = economic
N2 = comfort
N3 = road

so, this week was N3, or road tires... sorry, i think that was your problem...

Econo, comfort and road are the normal tires.

This can be found out by selecting a ride, going to race and then using quick tune.

Under tire type you will see a heading of either "Sports" or "Normal" and under each will be the 3 types of tires included in the larger tire type category.

Normal = econo, comfort, sport.
Sports = hard, medium, soft.

I just want to get a few other laps done before I load the sharkport up again.
Sadly, I've lost interest in the N2 race thread due to the volume of suprisingly fast times from Un-Supported racers.

Plus, the Nardo and other concept/ tuner cars are illegal for that race in my opinion (which I've started to address just tonight).

In light of all that I've also started a S3 spot race so the Tuners can have a run at the Ring in their element.

Anyway, back later when or if I see someone make comments that interest me.

Just checked the two remaining PAL replays:

- ROB 256R: MR2-V, 147hp, RD/RD, Slip Streamed, 👍
- holl01: MR2-V, 147hp, RD/RD, No Slip Stream, 👍

Rob's lap was really interesting, perfectly clean but he was slowed down a lot of the time because of the AI but the slip stream down the back straight just destroyed me...nice work man.

As for Dan's lap........my year 12 would call him a "manimal"...it is so on the edge! twice he dipped a tyre into the sand losing a little speed (never close to a dirty lap though BTW) and he still beats the whole field by a country mile.....you are a guru man

well this combo was fantastic flat-out, cant remember the last time u've served up a dud. i used the mr2 V, and i had the ai set 2 -10, so i passed the car b4 the first corner, hence no drafting, will post a replay soonish, my computer is being repaired at the moment so may take 4 or 5 days i guess.

Hi Kent!

I did put in a request for you or Cyril to convert your .sps files to .max files & I'll be happy to check it out. (Back in post #64)
I'm just unable to do it myself as I can't download the conversion program onto my laptop since it violates our corporate IT policy, and I don't have another PC to use.
If you can MAX them for me, I'd love to help out. 👍
