Here we go splits

T1: 29.470
T2: 1.01.017

Damn I hope there is a differnce in NTSC and Pal otherwise i'm not going so well.

I'm about same time behind casio and mr weary's times as usual.

Can only hit 290 down the staright

If you guys can't bounce off of the limiter on the end of the straight, you're most definitely slower. I can go a good 3-5mph faster on the straight with 310 gearing.

wow everyone is using such short gears!! i am using the default 340....

been busy with the JGTC thing :scared:  :dunce: just haven't had the time to put into this great combo 👍 this was a blast :D even if my times suffered :grumpy:

 Cyril, once again you gave us a great week 👍

Ok, here's my splits. I probably could have done better if I had the whole week to spare - I spent the whole week fixing my laptop .

T1: 0.30.667
T2: 1.02.802

Edit: Won't be submitting my time yet, forgot I can alter the top speed - going to have another crack at it!

Okay, final splits:

T1 29.293
T2 59.960

Yes, seems like NTSC is faster. I can bump the rev limiter even with 310.

Later!

After a quick coffee, lots of tyre squeeling, many overreving and an unique moment where the car became an expensive spinning top, I didn't polish my time at all.

Great way of saying it!! An expensive spinning top!! I did that SEVERAL times! :)

Also, a couple of you NTSC guys have said you hit the limiter at 300 gearing. I have never, ever, never, ever hit the limiter at 300 gearing. I've also come out of the corner very fast, I don't see anyway of doing it.

We all know that I'm not the fastest driver here, OK? But every single time, if I was running 300 gears, I'd hit the limiter going down the front-straight -- even if I screwed up that last corner. Only difference was how far down the front straight I'd get before hitting the limiter... Even with 310 gears, a few times I got VERY close to the limiter.

So I've got to agree with Casio's assessment that the NTSC car is just a bit faster than the PAL car... I'm NOT the best driver here by a long shot, and if I can make my NTSC car hit the limiter in 300 gears, and several far-better PAL drivers cannot, that's got to be the car that's causing the difference.

EDIT: Flat-Out, I'm NOT trying to criticize the combo this week -- I absolutely LOVED it -- so PLEASE do not take this personally. I definitely appreciate ALL the work you do here! But next time, perhaps more caution should be taken to ensure that PAL and NTSC don't end up with different cars. The GT-R instead of the 350Z would've been a better choice, IMHO -- they're both fairly similar in performance, and there's no difference between the PAL and NTSC versions of the GT-R, to my knowledge.

Blegh, I suck. Couldn't do any better. :dunce:

Time submitted.

Suzie

You're about 5 seconds faster than the first times I submitted at the beginning of the week... Very good for just one day's racing!
