since i overwrite my good save with a dirty one, first valid splits:

26´329
1´01´236

lost 0´050 in T1, 0´2 and 0´2 in the other sectors, so almost half second away from my limit... but not likely to happen. as i said millions of times, my favorite track, but the car (which i´m starting to like) is schooling me, can´t get in terms with it so far...
 
You got a 26.329 in the first sector. And you can't get to terms with the car so far....Get your hand off it Fransico :sly:
 
yeah, indeed a low .3xx first sector is the realistic limit IMO, i think u may have gotten to terms with the first sector atleast fasj8;)


had a final, 5th quick session on this great combo and managed to improve my time by a further .106 with a realy fast T2-finish

Hey yall! Not sure if any of you all even rember me, but I finished with my first year of college so ive got some free time. This challenge looks like a good bit of fun so i think I will thow my hat into the ring.

oh yeah i remeber that race. Whew its going to take me a while to get back to that level of competition. Darn you super nintendo and Tourist Trophy!!
 
StevenDeRuig no longer competes, now its Bigracer that'll be at the bottom of your wrs list weekly (but maybe not this week ...) :)

only ran 1 session at it and with the deadline here I might as well submit as its pointless running it otherwise

I checked the replay just a minute ago and I have a close call on the final little left turn before the finish line where I am right on the edge of my tyre on the rumblestrip! I will post regarding this and if someone calls it an off then thats fair enough I have no more time to run it anyway and I would never knowingly post a dirty lap ... but this one is close!

Cool combo anyway man I just wish I had more time to put into it

It's not like my time will threaten the top runners at all but I have to point it out in advance .... and after viewing the replay a few times I couldn't find the exact frame to show if it is in fact an off or not! ... I will post the replay when the results thread is up for anyone else with a keener eye to study 👍 I passed it but others may say differently?

Getting prepared for going to an Amsterdam LAN on friday and just no more time on my hands at the moment to race anymore other than ARC if I can squeeze an hour in :) so the "if in doubt bin it" part is out the window on this occasion for me as I wouldn't be submitting anything then :sly:

Thanks for a nice combo Cyril and I take no offence if I get the red flag ... close is close and off is off 👍 I can take it on the chin either way ;)

As it happens I just went back and viewed some more with precise timed pausing and multiple camera views and after 20 + start stop replay viewing to get the actual moment! ... camera 62 shows a millimetre where the 3rd tyre is fully in the dirt :ouch: you could only fit a tiny coin in the off area if you are lucky :(

No submission from me unless I can get a quick session in tonight 👍 please disgregard my PM Cyril :dunce:

Due to a half day today (final exams), I will finally have time to sit down and actually get a few laps in. I will submit if I get a clean lap, but probably not a podium time...
 
Really enjoyed this combo.. a nice reminder of what it takes to go fast. And just when you think you've really nailed your lap, there's still a few tenths left out there. Which brings me to my latest session:

T1: 26.474
T2: 1'01.160
 
Well, I decided I had time to sit down for some more laps, did 8, and on the fourth came up with a decent slip slidey lap. Lots of wide turns, a cool bit of sideways action on the long turn before T2 that gave some decent speed out of it, and yeah.

Submitting after this post:
T1: 26.973
T2: 1'02.693
T3: Almost two tenths faster than before...

w3rd... never ceases to amaze me when i chop 1/2 second or so off my time, and the next day look at the board and i'm still 1/2 second behind you guys. ;)

Checking into my noted best times by sessions (which usually lasts 10 laps unless I'm really into it), my progression during the week is of 2 seconds cut on my fastest lap compared to my first fast time. At least that is optimistic. :D
 
I guess I'm gonna go with this set of times. I really could get maybe .2 out, but I'm feeling kinda "blah" with this combo now.

me (bigracer/stevenderuig) submitting. i took half a second off at the line but cant beat z-r's t2 of 105211. we'll see who will be last in the results ... :)

what a lazy heavy tailhappy car this z is.
hope cyril will pick some tight german supercar for a change :sly:
on to arc and gtx awaiting next weeks challenge.
 
No submission for me this time, not enough time to put in a lap to my standards. Hopefully the next challenge is a time trial/arcade mode, cause if so I am in. Cant say that i am a fan of single race mode.

Ahhh well, time to submit I suppose.

I'm a little irked that I didn't get to have another good session at this combo (and a cool combo too, BTW 👍 ) but my time from my first attempt is reasonable I suppose. I;ve just run out of time this round. :irked:
