Congrats :)

And yes, you didn't misspell it...it's easy come on, there's a guy with same name as that on the Chicago Bulls I believe :sly:

Good point, but they didn't make it too far in the playoffs this year, I'm rootin' for the Suns now but we'll see Dallas is kickin' tail. Cheers to a new year Casio! Maybe blind luck will be on my side and I'll get a lap faster than u this coming up year eh? No?....prolly not...lol.

Oh and a special shout out to Kolyana who told me about the wrs in the first place :D

Sector 2 is killing me, it's so sloooooooooooooooooooow..

T1: 21.853
T2: 53.580

It will improve.. :grumpy:

Oh and I'm in Division 3, thought I'd remind everyone, it's been a while.

i'm out this week, my parents are here visiting from SA (for 3 weeks)

I had a quick go at this combo but was really slow with bundles of wheelspin, over- & understeer all in one corner..... every corner:scared:

PS. Go Filizola:tup:

Can someone send me the BC6 link? I must be stupid, but I can't find it! :ouch:

21.105
49.321

Experimented with turning off the TCS, but I couldn't really see much improvement - the time saved seems to be cancelled out by the time lost either spinning wheels or avoiding wheelspin. I'd be dead impressed if anyone did a really fast time with TCS off - that would take a lot of skill.

How fast is really Fast? lol:sly:

Board Updated

2 people triple posting, that is impressive :sly: 👍 I've got new splits myself:

T1: 0`21.069
T2: 0`48.847

that may be it for me, I don't wanna spend much more time on this one. I've started going for the sub 5 minute Nurb lap already, I know I was gonna wait till after BC but I want it bad :)

Should've been about .2-3 faster, but hit the last &#@%$@ curb and lost the barrier I wanted.

T1: 20.686 (whatever..)
T2: 47.940

I feel bad. I watched my replay and realized I was riding stock on my last time. My appologies to everybody.
New, legal splits:

T1-'21.628 (seen a 21.2xx)
T2-'50.736
@ 390, full aids.

Woah...triple post ace!!! :D
I think that was from when the board crashed... I love how I had a NICE LONG reply all written up, with quotes from like 4 different people, and then when I hit submit, it took me to the page saying that the forums are down... :grumpy: And when I hit "back", it had deleted the post! :ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch:

Gtg for now. Partying this weekend at the colleges down south... 👍 Poor JGTC, I might not have a submission for it this week!

None of the top guys this week will be using TCS, As far as I know. While it may seem slower (and about 4 billion times easier) with it, the F1 is actually faster without it, as long as you touch no rumble strips at all.

I'm running without TCS and got the following best splits

20.6xx
48.6xx (I think, can't recall exactly)

I'll post my exact splits later on in the day 👍

completed one lap:dopey:

20´7
48´3

i know i might be second on the board, but i´m just hating this combo, for whatever reason... just the car and the track are not in the same page... I´M NOT IN THE SAME PAGE... missing everything... i technically could hit 47´5 or close, but i´m messing everything up... clueless in the first sector and also in the last... i hate those curbs... 340 gearing, no aids... i hope i can sit down for a hour or two to get the lap i want... otherwise, lets hit BC:tup:

well had a quick lil stab at it and managed to do this with 340 gearing and no tcs

20.544
47.907

and had a really good last corner, meaning i just knocked off that second barrier:tup: DESCRIP: brake into apex on first- punching it in 3rd at 100, stay in 3rd and let it bounce as u sort of balance the gas and brake around the roundabout, then hit 4th and power out, u can clip the rumble strip as u take the left kink as ur going at 200 by then so u wont spin out wildly....that kink is where all the advantages of having tcs are stunningly negated by one huge negative...getting bogged down.

cos ur going so fast, its hard to pin point the exact braking point for the right after T1, so just go by feel, brake into it, and in 3rd at around 90, stay in 3rd and take the next left at 85 ish, and stay in 3rd as u- from now on-avoid hitting any rumbles and position the car out wide, then switch to 4th as u power throught the 2nd part of the double right, then stay in 4th as u take the left at 120, and in 4th again at about 115, and again for the square left at 115, in 4th. the last corner is the most critical corner on the track, u have to brake quite deep, and stay in low revs, helps turn the car as u dive into the corner, then stay in 3rd and sort of 4/5ths throttle at 65, then change to 4th at 140, and ur home. fasj8, do not use 4th gear for that corner, ur loosing alot of time there

slight improvement, but i'll work on it today and monday. hope to find two more seconds by avoiding the curbs.

22.619 - 55.711

i agree fully with fasj about the combo. ny is for other cars, and the car is ment for other tracks ...

still i feel my requests to cyril are listened to so i hope to find combos more to my liking the coming weeks.

after my first 30-lap session

20,900
49,207

new york is not my track :(

edit1:
small improvement

20,934
48,835

edit2:
have seen a 20,687 once, but submitted my lap
i didn't like that polyphony so much ...

Woah...triple post ace!!! :D
AAHHH!!! Sorry guys!!!

My latest and prolly last splits, I could have sworn I posted them earlier but I think it was when the site was down temporarily or something
That is unless I decide to take Dan's advice on a few corners, thx for the tips man!

T1 - 20.817
T2 - 49.252

jump_ace

Great combo, but I can't seem to get the last sector corrected. Loosing lots of time in the hairpin... :ouch:

21.522
50.472

NY always gets me... I think this is one of those tracks where a good Hi-Def TV is extremely helpful. The visual soup of NY messes with my concentration.
Clipping kerbs hidden in shadows and spinning out is pretty anoying as well.

first session:
T1 20.915
T2 48.829
w/ 350 gears.

hopefully i can get another go, i really want to shave another 1/2 second so i can be happy with my finish.

slight improvement but still waaaaay behind the others ...
22.264 - 54.051
gracefully tuesday evening is still a long way ahead

New splits after another +/- 30 min-session

T1: 21.699
T2: 51.371

Still using TCS and gearing at 350

Although it doesn't show in my T2 time I shaved off .6 on the final. I was stuck for awhile then turned off the ASM, and saw immediate improvement... Gains in the carousel and hairpin helped me out.

👍

21.349
50.409

EDIT:
shaved another .39 from final but T2 time stills suffers.

21.434
50.376

Very happy with these times:
T1 21.632
T2 49.855

Fliz if I hadnt seen you on the leader board I would have given up. I cant possibly go any faster. Took a whole second off my best time. This will be my final try. :sly: :sly: :sly: :) I am just really happy.:) :)
