thank god i finally hit my lap
lost .150 on the final turn... had so much understeer i couldnt turn in :grumpy:

been playin for 4 hours straight... mayb a lil more, i was gonna go crazy. :crazy:

kinda wierd how t2 .081 is mirror of t7 .018 ~ and how t4 .032 is mirror of t9 .023 :crazy:

@bleu ... in the spirit of the good competition you've been this week, I'm going to try a few laps later tonight, but I'm already ballstothewall (as it were) and I'm not sure I can squeeze any more out of this ... I may have to doff my cap in your direction and acknowledge your superior racemanship this week, sir!

I sure hope you stick around in future weeks; I love the competition!

I'll stick around. It's the whole reason I've joined. To put my skills up against other drivers. I just didn't know so many were this good.

Besides, last week I was second to last. (not anything to brag about) I had to make a killer come back somehow.

What part are you having trouble on? Maybe I can give some pointers.

thnx guyz, i think im gonna submit this time because i just dont wanna drive myself nutz haha

i can see where rudi will beat me, on the final turn (but i will block the inside! )

hope to hold him off 👍 ( i calculated that i lost .550 to Rudi from t9 - End )
 
I've submitted my time for this week as well....Just couldn't come back & beat my previous times..:banghead:....

Can't wait to see what's in store for this weeks WRS! :D

I think I'm going to give it one more go before I submit, what time (PST) would it need to be submitted? And by submission, we just mean send CFM a PM with your 4 T times and final time?
 
Time submited. I will stay away from WRS for some time tho. 2 reasons for that.

1 is that i don´t have Max Drive and i don´t want more argues and confusion about time profs. I undestand the rules and i don´t want to go against them, so as i cannot prove my times, i won´t play.

2 is that i need to stay away from my PS2 for some days, or i will stay forever away from it as i will break it if i get angry again. DS2 just sucks and im not the person who drives happy with it. I will see if i get a DFP as soon as possible, so i will be allowed to drive all i can. My DS2 is just some trash due to lots of playing these years, so its even more a trash now. BTW i hate to play on it.

I will get back to WRS when i get one of Max drive or DFP, or if im lucky, both.

Wish good luck to you all tho and more chalenges to come up. 👍

All I need is your final lap time, and your division. Everything else is unnecessary. If I'm not mistaken the deadline would be 10 AM Tuesday morning for PST. Could be wrong though, as I'm notoroiusly bad a time zones.:crazy:

Ok cool. And about the times, I just looked back at your post that said "23 hours and 45 minutes remaining" and it said it was posted at 6:15 this morning, and this post is current with my computer's time, so I'm assuming it's actually 6AM deadline... Either way, cool beans. Thanks!

Yea it's 6 AM PST, I added 2 instead of subtracting 2 hrs. I swear to god I'm borderline retarded.👎
 
Bleu, just ran two laps in around the 4'45.2xx mark virtually back-to-back, so I think I'm in the groove. Let's see if I can make our little finish a neck-and-neck one :P I have not submitted yet, but I will be in the next couple of hours.

Grrr, I don't think my shoulders can take any more laps, they're hurting like hell. :ouch: [Possible] final run, got a little careful in the end not to ruin it but still chopped off another .4xx.

I guess I'm pretty happy with the results if the leaderboard is an implication of this week's final turnout and lap times :D :

I just stopped right now. I have to go to bed for school tomorrow. I am JUST getting good and consistent at this challenge now, and the last 5 tries or so I was ahead of myself by up to 1/2 a second after the karusell. But couldn't hold on :(

I'm alright with my time though.
 
Like most I'm sick of leaving Audis strewn around the racetrack, finally got a clean time that I'm not TOO embarassed about.

I found on my best runs I could carry 4th through the entire twisty section before the straight leading to Flugplatz, but then again I also use auto 👎

Heh, I'll just call this a draw. I was done with school a week ago so I had a lot more time to waste on this race. Good luck with school, hang tight. :D

So who ran without the course map and gear choice indicator? I know I did. :sly:

Well Rabbit, I almost gave up on this one ... I ran SEVEN laps coming in around 4'45.xxx ... but couldn't hold any of them on the track after that.

Fristrated? Man ... I crushed the HELL out of a tea bag box; IT won't be looking at me funny again!

Lord, was I frustrated.

At the end of the day I managed this:
T2: 1'05.344 (I managed a 1.05.014 ... but could never break that mark :()
T4: 2'12.035
T7: 3'50.079
T9: 4'45.356

I think I lost .5 on the last sector, maybe as much as a second, so this one could go right down to the wire.

@Blackbird ... man, I was faster at the end than I ever thought possible (of me) and while I could see another second in it even now, I'm happy with what I managed to attain. I had to put way too much time into it this week, so whatever happens it wasn't for trying ... yeah ... this was a strong effort I've put forward and I can make no complaints.

Even though my head is thinking "one more lap ... one more lap ..." :P

Yea I'm happy enough with my final time, its about 4 sec faster than i thought i could go, so i have to happy with that. As usual the top guys have me scratchin my head with thier blinding speed.Very close times, The Lord of the Ring will definatly earn thier place this week 👍.
Learnt a lot of new German swear words this week too :
Hatzenbach, Flugplatz, Adenauer-Forst, Exmuhle and Angst Kurve, just to name a few:ouch:.
Thanks to VEXD for his " Drive Thru " of the Ring, suprisingly similar to how i was attacking it, he just happens to be over 10 sec faster at T9 though. I must have missed something important in there somewhere :lol: . Also thanks to those that submitted thier times for the Board this week, good or bad.👍 And Thanks to Small_Fryz for being so diligent in keeping it updated, Good One Dion 👍.

Not sure about the rest of you, but I'm satisified w/the times I've submitted for this weeks WRS!
Matter of fact, when I compare my times for this weeks WRS against the other times I've posted on the Nurburgring Leaderboard here...I've noticed this was a PB for me in this type of car...
(Something other then a LMP or the like....

Can't wait until tomorrow morning to see how well it holds up....Keeping my fingers crossed! :D

I just made that change in my hundredth hour of trying today... My hands and mind are telling me give it up. I'm just so pissed that I can go soooo much faster through the beginning even, where I wasn't really having any problems at all, but I can't get a clean lap, and have to restart before T4 95% of the time.

I think I'm giving up, and my submission will be pretty sad compared to what you might think I may have run, or what I could've been running.

And Kolyana, you can betcha I woulda busted a bunch of stuff, yet there was nothing to break, so I just hit the couch, and the coffee table a few times... :grumpy:

If someone bugs me to go on, I shall, but seriously, this is killing me, I recently even switched over to automatic to just try and concentrate on other stuff, not working. I can't concentrate. Maybe a break and come back to it? Who knows.

Next week, if it's not too insane like this one, I shall do well... But for now, I can't do anything clean.

This week's been spent 75% up to T2, 15% up to T4, 7.5% up to T7, 3% up to T9, .000001% up to the finish. I did three clean laps total. Way too many hours. Argh, I'm disturbed.

/rant that you didn't want to hear anyway. :banghead:
 
SRD, I believe your guaranteed the top spot and have been since day 1 ... we've not been able to touch you this week at all. I'm assuming that you have a lot of experience with the ring, because you posted that time fast and it's comparable to a good D2 time.
 
i like KLR's comment.... .000001% attempts made it to the finish.

it doesn't even look like i'm gonna be in the points this week. I have decided i am sandbagging in qualifying for the GT5 WRS. .....well maybe not.
