Great, for the third week in a row i have to buy the car, and have no time to improve my cash total, as i will be driving the ring all bloody week!!!

Humph. :grumpy:

Still, im trusting this will be a good combo as the Chastised Fermenting Meatball hasnt gotten it wrong yet!

Except for that time last week when he used that srt-4, then there was the bloody understeering 350z round el capitan, and as for that lotus that needed gas to help it brake, or that supra that only slid when you got it absolutely right......mumble mumble mutter mutter......

:)

Right, lets hit the nurb... I love this course by the way, so i will be trying VERY hard this week Large Fryz.
👍

VEXD out.

The SRT-4 was hell compared to the 350Z I knew I wasn't going to do well as my weakness is understeering cars. I just don't know how to adjust the throttle correctly.

Imagine running the whole thing and going onto the grass the last corner or somethin' ... that would just kill me ... or my cat ... or my PS2 ... or whatever's in the way haha

Without knowing the Nurb there is no way of getting around there in one piece and posting a good time ... ons would need to know every corner coming up ... and that means at least 25 laps on it probably just to get to know it ... but it's a beautiful track to learn luckily !

Well I'm pretty familiar with Le Sarthe since I did 23 laps there in the F1 Championship, maybe I should have done the 15 laps at the 'ring. :P Oh well. Practice makes perfect.

It's going to be a long week. Especially for those who don't know the course. It's a good thing I practice on it all the time. I know it pretty well. Now I just got to get the car to learn it.

Well anyone that doesn't know the course and spins out even on the road glued F1 (with soften springs of course) then join my club. :guilty:

Nice combo 👍
It won't be until a few days when I will finally be able to run this race, due to flying and readjusting to the jet lag...

But I will give this a try as soon as possible :D

The Wizard.

Awesome combo todd 👍 Just ran 4 laps, although only one was clean:

T2 - 1'07.485
T4 - 2'14.790
T7 - 3'55.612
T9 - 4'49.516

DS2|AT|TCS & ASM on (will change to MT and no aids when i get a bit of confidence up)

Nice combo, CFM! I've been running the ring for the last couple of weeks so it wouldn't be completely new to me, but I was convinced your'd be a masochist and hit us with a RUF or something ... this defintively shows your gentler side :P

I know some of you have to learn the ring so I wanted to give you a good handler this time. Next time we'll do something a bit trickier.:sly:

Fun race CFM!

For those of you struggling to learn the ring, I recommend running the 4hr Endurance Race (if you have the time). I didn't like the track at all until I drove this race and after about 15 or 20 laps I started finding where I could push and where I couldn't. It's a good way to make some credits and learn the track.

Later,
Canoe

And this is why i got a DFP.... My frikin arms are killing... the wheel goes nutts, bloody love the challenge.....

Your times are very tidy CFM... Good Combo, Its like the Bacon Deluxe combo.....

👍

Wow , that little blue cockroach is quick. Nice choice CFM 👍
Lots of work to do here, just run 3 laps only 1 clean T9 - 5.12ish region.
Think there will be some incredible times set here this week.
Good luck Everyone 👍

I'm going to be racing Nurburgring a LOT this week aren't I?

Week 6 WRS is at the ring, and so is Mission 34 - I'm 7.334 seconds of from finishing GT4 :)

The one "RING" :sly:

nice track w/ a good car, can't wait to run this race

Just need to remember to run it clean - finally beat mission 34 a couple of days ago (by inches) and i used every short cut i could find to do it to. :scared:

Looks like cfm's driver (the one he has in picture) has been by the red bull tent and got a few drinks before going on the track - he got some wings there (airborn)

Sweet combo, and perfect timing, APs are over and I can finally concentrate on what is truely important... the wrs. Now just have to procure 600 grand. Good luck to everyone this week.

You are in Chicago too?

You must also be a senior in hs if you had ap testing, or a very smart junior haha

I did 5 laps back-to-back before my eyes started protesting.

T2: 1'10 -> 1'15
T4: 2'20 -> 2'25
T7: 4'03 -> 4'10
T9: 4'59 -> 5'10
(D3) - DS2 - ACM&TCS - AT

Fairly consistent but I keep stuffing up the entrance to the long straight. :grumpy:

CFM
Here's mine from my testing session, which ended up lasting 2 hours, because it's so addicting.:dopey: T2, T4, T7, T9...

1'04.672 / 2'11.091 / 3'47.567 / 4'40.202

WHEEEEEEEE.....

Wow, that's some amazing racing there CFM.

After 3 laps I managed a T9 of 4'51.745

Nice combo CFM! All those M34 runs and thousands of km running on the ring in random cars shall pay off this week!! (I bet I'll still be a turd :sly: )

Few more laps and some better splits. CFM's times are looking pretty handy if you ask me! I'm just about as fast as i think i can go up to T4 and I'm still down nearly 2.5 seconds on him. Can improve a fair bit beyond T4 though.

T2 - 1'06.966
T4 - 2'13.453
T7 - 3'52.955
T9 - 4'47.066

DS2|AT|TCS & ASM

I also tried a few laps with the driving aids off but i couldn't keep it on the track!?! It doesn't suit my aggressive steering/braking style. I should really learn to drive more smoothly but it's hard with DS2. Might turn to DFP in the future.

I can only imagine what hotboi and co. are capable of :nervous:

After a couple a dodgy weeks this is a fantastic combo.

Ran for around 20 minutes when I realised I'd completely stopped blinking...

Cheers
John.

Just a few laps in and there i dont think there is any need for anyone to use any driving assists at all. If your not on the curbs too aggressively there's no way you can spin out. You dont need first gear and i cannot spin my tires in any gear higher than first. I think the best top speed setting will be 310-320km/h also.

I've been using the stock 340 since it seemed to get right up to redline at the end of the straight, what is everyone else using?

First clean lap after an hour of driving:

1'04.781
2'09.985
3'45.893
4'38.622

Still a lot to do here....
I like the combo very much CFM! 👍
And btw.I drive according to the "old"rules!

Have fun everyone! :)
