Nice work with the deadline Cyril, nice to see you're willing to carry on with the now traditional WRS typo comp. :sly:

Not driven this car for a while, it'll be nice to dust it off and drag it out of the garage, probably kicking and screaming with me behind the wheel . From what I can remember it's a reasonably stable and well mannered car for a racer.

I might have known this week would get Kent interested. I predict more than a few butts getting handed out on this week/fortnight. :) I vote we start reffering to Kent as lord of the ring. :sly:  (sorry, very, very bad joke, must try harder).

Time to stop posting and get racing. 👍

Darren.

One of the butts kicked will surely be mine (unless the bc keeps them away, which I doubt!).

I plan to race again tonight but for now I'm taking a break and getting a bite to eat.
Back later on, till then,

(and yes, very very bad joke :P )

Still working out the car, lots of time left to get whacked off:
(I was thinking if we should race a Corvette, it should be the C2 Race Car, IMO.)

T2:1'08.654
T6:3'18.036
T9:5'04.541

Ran about a half an hour and suprised myself greatly with this lap. I really don't know if i'll get much more out if it, but I'm sure its there. I left about .7 at T2 but from there on I'm not quite sure. Here's the splits anyways.

T2: 1'04.887
T6: 3'02.704
T9: 4'35.725

All in all I'm guessing 2 seconds are left in it for me.

AHHHH :ouch: :ouch:

1.8 seconds up at T6 and I blow it, I don't think I can match that t-time again :grumpy:

New t-times :D

T2: 1'03.965 (.3-.4 left here)
T6: 3'01.492
T9: 4'34.278

Got nervous in some places and lost some time :( Overall I think I can do .5-1 second better at max. That section right while T9 comes up is sooo hard to get right. I'm scared to take it fast on good laps because is basically luck the way the car hits the groove.

Ok here is my first times.

Sorry I had T3 time.
T6-3:10:825
T9-4:51:242

I know I can go faster, it's just a little hard to get a clean lap.
And now that i'm in div2 I have to do better, I guess.

Not much to shake a stick at for my times, but here they are for now!

T2: 1'08:744
T6: 3'11:527
T9: 4'51:442

Will definitely get some more seat time before this weeks race is over!

This week looks awesome, i gave it a go just now, no clean splits yet. Looks like ill be getting one maybe 2 clean laps in the whole fortnight...and theres no way ill be competetive on the nurb, just too many corners to get right in a row. Ill be back with clean splits in about 10 days, lol.

i was wondering how the hell you were managing these times to begin with, then up popped a lap, whilst not as fast gives me some hope...

T2: 1'05.041 :yuck: (another second left in here alone)
T6: 3'02.714 👍
T9: 4'37.542 :yuck: (was pretty messy through here proably another 1.5-2 seconds in here)

had a blinding finish on this lap though, was 6 seconds faster than my PB, and blew away my target time in the process, another 4, possibly 5 seconds left in it for me, and i will be happy...

First clean lap got a 4:48.xxx split....this one is pretty tough, haven't raced at the ring for a while. I'll try and get some serious splits going later for ya Kyle.

New splits
T2 1'07.707
T6 3'12.848
T9 4'50.498
I have seen 1'06 but I managed to ruin that on the straight after ardenaur forst. :ouch: It is almost funny that I got through one of the hardest turns of the track and then crash going a strait line. I used 360 gearing but I have been using 370 and going faster so I dont know which is faster. hasta luego

opendriver19a
got a better T2
1'09.218
Speaking from experience, don't worry about your T2. Just worry about the end. Go slow, trust me, or just try and play it safe and get to the end. Week 6, my first week of WRS, was the ABT TT-R at the Ring on RSS tires. I did THREE whole clean laps that week. I was easily 10 hours into it. My T2 was down to the top of D2(I was D3), but I couldn't put anything together. Just try to get all the way around the track, and if you go off, just keep going around the track anyway, trust me! 👍

Yeah... It's been somewhat of a while since I've been on the ring as well, but I've never been in something this fast around the ring before. The ABT TT-R is about there, but that was worse on RSS tires compared to these RMs. I sucked hardcore then too though... I'm more a fan of slower things because it's easier for me and my DS2 skillz to appear more smooth. I'll come up with something clean here sometime tonight as well.

Glad to see the times are coming down (shockwave), also glad to see fast times from ice. 👍
Keep it up everyone.
Hopefully I will catch some laps over the weekend... may stop in tomorrow, but otherwise...

I got some new T times.

T2-1:06:193
T6-3:08:678
T9-4:46:322

I'm close to the total time I want, all I need is .4 more and I will be happy
with my total but I will try as hard as I can:).

Well, about an hour and a half into this week's combo so far, and I just managed my first clean lap. YAY!!! So far it's my fastest as well, but that shouildn't be the case for much more than another lap or two... Who knows where I'll end up this "week". All I know, is that I'll need to give it a LOT of time to get something that's near my limit without learning how to go faster. Basically, the sky's the limit, for everyone... 👍

T2: 1'06.0749(I'll be almost a second faster here before I'm satisfied... Wouldn't be suprised if the fastest people get down into mid-low 1'04s, maybe even 1'03s...!)
T6: 3'08.386
T9: 4'43.643

Go get'm Jerome. Shouldn't take you too long to match and surpass that...

Regarding gearing. Pretty much everyone will be in the 360-380 range I should think. The fastest guys who can maintain enough speed will probably be using 380 gearing, and maybe dropping down into second gear in a couple spots. I'm on 370 gearing, and basically just going down to third. If you're in Div. 3, or not that great with the 'ring yet, I'd start with 360 gearing and just go down to third until you get used to things, and then MAYBE go up to 370 gearing.

This car likes to shift early I've noticed, usually before you get to the redline. Play with as necessary to suit yourselves.

Cyril, quite the race you have setup here... +15% is just enough to make it a good bit insane, but not so much that it's just overly insane and utterly annoying/frustrating/complicated. Thanks!!! I would even prefer somewhere near 10% probably, but we can't have life too easy now, can we? Gotta have a challenge here and there!

Play another couple of hours, and you'll be wanting another 4 seconds off of that time... Keep it up man, you'll be suprised with what you'll manage over the next couple of weeks if you keep trying. 👍

Thanks:tup:, I see that i'm only slower than you at T9 so maybe I can go for that:).
And I use 390 gears, I just don't like wheel spin.

Hi guys !

Well I decided to join this week's race, since it's been some time I didn't race at the Nurb ( :D ), so here are some splits..!

T2: 1'03.363
T6: 2'59.696
T9: 4'31.016

Using 360kmh gearing.. and DS2. :)

I ran my initial testing sessions at +0% and +10%, but wasn't fully satisfied. +15% had the big advantage of 1) making a round hp figure (I like round figures) and 2) to be just past the insanity limit as you say.

BTW, I still haven't decided which race I'll be using for week 65, but it'll probably be GT mode since we haven't had a GT mode race since the Spoon Civic back in week 58.

@Tannis : content de te voir faire un saut chez nous, avec des temps pareils tu vas en vexer plus d'un (=nice to see you drop by, with such T times you'll irk more than one racer) :D

No fair...Tannis has been running the Nurb for weeks for his BC race :sly: 👍 My first splits:

T2: 1`06.367
T6: 3`06.547
T9: 4`42.008

Nothing spectacular yet but still HEAPS of time :)
