Well first attempt at a WRS,,

T2: 1'07.525
T6: 3'09.430
T9: 4'48.279

I'm not at all happy with this,, I know I can do faster,, 2 or 3 seconds faster at least.. But If I manage that,.. I get twitchy and nervous an I probably end up in the grass,, Off to another go:)

Annoying isn't it when you can can clearly see a significantly faster lap but can't string a clean one together

You're not wrong, I just spent the last hour easily shaving a second or two off my ghost at T6 but just couldn't string a lap together...soooo frustrating and I'm too bleary-eyed to continue, I really want another couple of seconds...we'll see.

I second that,, I can manage a run which s 3 sec. faster at T2 and T6 but I just can't get a clean lap out of it.. Frustrating..

Although I love racing the ring, I'll be glad to get back to a shorter track :)

Time for a short go... Very likely my last stint unless I don't go out tonight... Haven't touched the combo since the first week... :guilty:

Finally back from holidays (10 days, 2,000 miles), and hundreds of posts to read.
I started with this thread, I'll go on with all the other ones right now.

Just wanted to pop in and say :

a) it's probably way too late, but lower power is fine for me in this case, because there's no way to beat a 700hp car with an under-700hp car. (Which might not be the case on other combos).

b) did someone notice that all 4 WRS stewards (Boombexus, Kent, CFM, me) have posted in this thread ? I don't recall such a thing in any other thread. Nice to see you there Boom, and if Colby (MisterWeary) says you were div2 back in week 8, then you're still div2. Nice to see you too Todd, though you probably won't drop by again soon to read this.

c) next week will be different but not much shorter I'm afraid (multi-lapper)

Definitely cool to see everyone in here. I'm going to go turn down the power and get something clean and faster than my current fastest, I swear!

How about adding wieght and leaving power the same? Can we do that too/instead? That sometimes helps on the ring to some extent...

Hi Flat-Out. Welcome back from vacation. I hope that you had a wonderful time.
I really don't care what division I'm placed in. It had been so long since I had participated in a WRS that I couldn't remember what Div I was in. I used to be Div 1 back in the day, but I know I sure as hell don't want to be in that div now. :D I can't compete with that talent.

Thanks for the race, it was good to get some seat time on the ring as it has been a track that I avoided because it was so long and difficult to remember all the turns.

I've already submitted my final time and looking forward to see what the next race is.

Cheers.

:D :D :D
Might give this another couple of laps tommorow, got a little disgruntled with the TTWRS race and not had the time to perfect it, so not having much fun with it either.
Mind you, I do have to do the JGTC quali too, but Eats hasn't posted results yet so no weight figures to run with .'. green hell here I come, again!

What am I missing? How do I get the C5R to be selectable in Arcade mode? I only see 7 cars under Chevy in the car choices.

I don't really have a clue then, it should be located under the Chevrolet subdivision.

Troux
It's in my garage, dont' have to do anything special to get it over to arcade mode?

You have to have gotten into the car, it can't just be in your garage. So make sure you've had it selected for driving (you don't have to do a race though)

AngelCreator
I think I can get a better pic than that:). How about one of these.

Thanks for the offer Angel. Unfortunatley my choice/enforcment of avatar is pennance for sucking at driving the ring? :D

"Blinder" not found. Board time submitted. :embarrassed:

With the run I'm going to submit, (My Protest Run), I'm just going to change my avatar now.

Watch out verification crew...

lmao....no doubt next week will be yours though Brad :)

Well I just spent another hour shaving about 0.7 off my lap, it should have been about 2 seconds but I got nervy from T8 onwards.

T2: 1`05.007
T6: 3`03.149
T9: 4`38.220

Hopefully I'll get another crack before submission time because I get pretty consistent 3`03's at T6, I just need a break 👍

Remind me to play some more or just submit tomorrow morning... Blah. Dissappointed. Night night.

Checked my best lap closely last night and found out it was dirty (by about 1/2 inch) :grumpy:
Managed a better one though after much wailing and gnashing of teeth - T9 was about the same but I had a slightly better finish. 👍

Glad that's over, but it was good to get the push to seriously tackle the ring at last, even if I never did get that one great lap I was searching for...

Submitting now.

Turns out I don't even have a submittable time. I deleted my clean lap replay because it was so slow, and I never had the time to go faster. Oh well, I can tell you approximately what it was in the results thread, but that's about it. I can also tell you that it was at least 3 seconds slow from just a smooth, and not even fast lap. I easily had 5 more seconds in it if I could ever get it together, but I just didn't spend the time on it. Even between two weeks I didn't spend one week's worth of actual trying... BAD ME! :(

C'mon Kyle, just run one single clean slow lap and you'll even beat Casio's submitted lap.
