Ruh Roh alright, now where is Dan, oh wait ***looks off at dust trail in the distance*** there he is, whooping my ass...

Don't tell me he can drive on dirt too? :irked:

I can't.

My one clean lap so far has me approx 28 seconds behind MisterWeary. I didn't even save the replay? :grumpy:

Another half hour in the red devil tonight then I better learn to stop spinning this Toyota.

+0% power (300hp) is not that hard to control, even on such a long track. I'm definitely not a rally fan (well, not in GT4 at least), but I was surprised by the fact that I enjoyed that combo almost from the first lap.
I even think I'll submit a time this week too

But you get extra practice Cyril. :) :sly:

When I saw the Toyota GT-1 for last week I didn't expect I'd be submitting a time better than last, maybe second last at best. So far I'm mid div 2 on relatively large field. 👍

Who knows, maybe I'll be better this week than I first thought. Probably not, I'm not much of a fan of GT rally mode either.

I think the rally mode in GT has alot to improve on, THe physics are just not as real as asphalt racing. But hey its a fun thing to do every so often.

Wrong.
I test many many combos, and usually don't spend more than 3 laps on a given setup (car+track+tyres+power...). Most of the time only 3 or 4 turns before I change something.

And each time I've been submitting since week 30, it has been a lap run during the week itself, never a pre-practice lap. Ok you have to take my word on this, there's no way I can prove it... except that my only 2 division wins in the WRS were before I took over :)

Done 6 laps:

T1 - 1'15.151
T2 - 1'47.062

That's for this track, the fun in this though is that it's so long, you always find improvement 👍

I think I'm gonna try to trim another 1.5 seconds total here then I may be tapped out, but I've said that before :sly: I hope Dan 'retired' so I can be one more spot up on the leaderboard :)

Jerome

Pink_the_Floyd
 Why should he retire?

He announced his 'retirement' just before the world championships in Paris saying he would return when GT5 is with us.

He came back early. :mischievous: :sly:

A rally race here?!:scared: Thanks Flat:) 👍

@Dan,you better be doing this one?!!!:mischievous: :sly:

My favorite rally track btw. :)

I hope I'll be racing when I get the go ahead from Flat Out, I PM'ed him my qualification time today.

If you've PM'd your qualifier in, what are you waiting for? Get racing. 👍

Oh, and welcome to the WRS.

The rally god has arrived once again
Don't call me names you litlle...:sly:

Anyways, couldn't resist to try it before I go to sleep,my frist clean time:

1'10.369
1'40.335

Lots of left offcourse!👍

Hey Darren!

I don't like rally either, but seeing as I didn't submit wk66 and am reclaiming my Frank-Stig 'tar (caused allsorts of comments in the JGTC crowd btw, thanx mate)

I am gonna give this a go with the DS2 first, and maybe the DFP later in the week. I have more time this week cos it's a quali week in the JGTC, and it's at Fuji too :( .(which I hate)

You up for a personal battle again? But lets be kinder with the 'tars this time eh?

Btw, I haven't even touched the PS2 yet today, I just didn't like the combo really (last weeks, that is) I just couldn't be bothered with it. If it had been a lower powered car on the same track, it would have been different. But I just couldn't get any enthusiasm up for it.

Neil

What is this?! Two race prepared Toyotas in two weeks. Hmm.

So this is how my first dirt WRS race will be. More of last week . . .walls . . . Oh well. Not my favourite rally car (by far), nor my favourite track either. But I dunno, maybe I'll even surprise myself this week.

After about 5 laps:

1'13.673
1'45.687

OK OK.....

Seeing as I'm a 'soft' southerner I'll let it slide this week.

What am I saying??? Punish him.....Aaaarrrggh..no..m...ust......pl...a..y.........ni..ce.

You're a lucky man Neil. I wonder what the JGTC crowd'll say about this one....NEXT WEEK. :D

See you on the track. :)

OK some crappy splits for Darren to aim for!

T1 1'20.404
T2 1'54.603

Completely terrible I know!

But I don't normally do dirt/gravel rally, ever! Tarmac rally, yes. Dirt, no!

Under absolutely no illusions what-so-ever this week, I WILL SUCK BADLY, so badly even Cyril stands a chance ;)

Neil

**Sorry for the off topic here**

Hey Kyle, Delete Some PM's Will Ya!

WOW! While talking to my girlfriend on the phone I managed this (amazing in my rally racing career) lap. Even for a rally car, this thing hadles better when its sideways, which is fine by me :)

Im saving into a maxdrive/usb drive so I can show the world my photos. In my opinion I take excellent shots.

T1- 1`13.xxx
T2- 1`46.xxx?

I JUST SAW I DIDNT SAVE THE REPLAY!

Oi I re did the lap I lost and did better!

T1- 1`12.304
T2- 1`43.467

I did some laps today, and out of about 15 I had NO clean laps:(.
I think I will take this week off, I will try a little more tho.

Neil
You aren't telling me that you had a clean lap and didn't submit it last week... Are you???!?!?!?!??!!?

Sorry Jerome!!! I had no idea!

And Zoky/GTmaniac, how come you're going by GTmaniac instead of Zoky? Didn't you used to go by Zoky on here? Or maybe you haven't actually been here much and I've just heard of your amazing skillz... 👍

Had Bobby do some Fuji racing while at work so I could afford the car, will do a few laps here in a bit... I think I might take a whirl in that pair of DTM cars that Mr P is putting on as well for fun. And then maybe a couple laps in my JGTC car... But who knows what I'll actually get around to. Maybe I'll cut out an hour or two of sleep tonight... :guilty:

Wow I suck. Cyril, I'm going to say that this combo IS hard for some of us... I know I haven't spent too much time in the rally mode, but on the more open tracks I can do somewhat decently. On THIS track, oye!!! I don't know this track for CRAP. 40 minutes into it and I definitely don't have a clean lap. Haven't spun too much, but I think I hit the wall quite often. Haven't actually gone into the replay mode to REALLY check where I get somewhat close because there have been other places in each lap that I KNOW are dirty, but yikes. I really wish it was easier to tell if you've gone around a turn cleanly when you're backing into turns perpendicularly... I'm going to have to spend a LOT of time here if I want to do decently, but I just don't have time for that. I'll do what I can though with the time that I have. I think I may have another bottom of D2 finish again this week, sad as that may be for me... But at least I won't give up and not try for a clean lap and not submit anything...! 👍
