GT4 WRS Week 7: "Skyline Fanboyz"

I am still resisting the temptation to go R34 GTR like most, and staying with my trusty sedan. Have new splits with a stiffer suspension.
T1 30.823
T2 58.606
I don't think this car can break in the 57s T2 but I am trying. I want to take another .4 off my total time and I will be happy, for this week.
 
well my first week on gtp and i have to admit i wasnt fully prepared. :dunce:
even with some guidelines from people i would call pros on this site, i was unable to grasp the full extent to which gt4 would take over my life.

my children have forgotten what i look like.
the first words i share with my partner (vexd) after a long day is "what time did u get?"
and i've had to rearrange my living room so there is no reflection what so ever on the screen whilst i play.

who said buying the game would be a waste of money?? SHOOT EM!
 
ballstothewall i got my wheel yesterday, the kind ebay man was close by so i met him halfway & collected, i couldn't get within 14 seconds of my current times with the wheel without major practice, so i'll be having a tinker with it this weekend/early next week :)

I didn't cope! i hit the wall, spun, spun again, dislocated my elbow trying to put full lock on in 1 second, er..spun, hit the wall, cursed and restarted :D
 
I have found that if i drive 'Ala' Vexd's way, ie using the stick and left hand only on the wheel into and out of corners, it's harder on the arm but faster and easier to get 270 degrees of turn on/off- knocked 2 secs off t2 by using holl's settings and that steering technique.

I know exactly what you mean about children, reflections, and topic of conversation :lol:
It's good to see your enthusiasm about the game, and in no time you'll be putting down perfect laps, so don't give up! ;)

I've just run a few laps on the wheel in the M-spec Nur02 and managed a new time with these sectors...

30.084
57.600

Much much happier with my time now :D

unfortunately your times are just in my dreams at the moment even with the knowledgable vexd in my corner!!

Soo, how many miles has everyone put on thier main car for this week? I think i have 444 on my main one right now! lol

I had to do an oil change on my N1 (over 300 miles) and I probably did about 100 or so in the GTS-t M

Did you see my post from the other night?
 
Ah no i didn't see that post, but dont worry, the pic aint from my pc, found it a friend of a friend of a friend's photobucket :) Who knows whose pc that is! lol

I could just play a few today, i was out these 2 days. =/

BTW im poor at this week. Have much to improve yet, i think im not handling this car as i should. LOL

here is my time. Did it on my second day playing, i can down many yet.

T1 - 30.603
T2 - 58.144

I´ve seen some 30.0 and 57´s, but i need more runs to get them. BTW even with a bad time, i will post it, as i always like to join WRS. :D

Will work more on that and i need to take off at least 1 second. =/

When I submitted my time 2 days ago I had done about 700km in various cars.
 
Nice distance! hehe, i need to submit my time if not to stop me doing too many bad laps, bur i keep saying "just one more!" lol

I'm right there with you. I set a T2 of 0:59.598 and have been unable to match it. It didn't matter what kind of tuning I did. I guess I don't have that tinkering talent in me.
 
I have put 300+ miles on both my GT-R '00 and GT-R V-Spec II '00 so far. And today, will prolly be getting the "Koly Purple Special" and Nur '02 to see what I can do with those, but so far the V-Spec is still wining my best run.

And everynight before the crew chief puts them in the garage, they wash them and change the oil for a fresh run in the morning.
