Re-G**-Damned-Diculous how fast some of ya-alls are goin'. Somthing finally clicked be it driving style or setup and I am happy with:

T1 30.566
T2 58.312

I was amazed with my 1.3 second improvement on my previous best total time up until that point... Too bad there isn't another 1.3" left (for me at least).

I know I have at least a 1/2 second left, but I've already spent too much time on this... Grr..

I did end up with a nicely handling car and have come back to the DFP and I'm no longer pretzeling up my arms steering. I think using a little ASM (understeer) has made life a bit easier after initially going no aids.

What I really think I did wrong was try too hard on the qualifyer! :^) Should have only put in as many hours as I thought I'd want to spend every week in the competition!

I may get a couple more hours in with the newly "unlocked" holl01 and other fast setups, but I'll probably sit on my current time...

LOL, i never thought that settings could change your lap time that much.

I had a T1 of 30.6 and T2 of 58.1

After Small fryz told me ZOky´s settings, i thought that i couldn´t go that faster than my old time. I was wrong.

my time now, and i can down 1 second flat yet, i ran 10 minutes just, with these zoky´s settings:

T1 - 29.810

T2 - 56,914

I will play a lot now. :D
 
well i am happy to say i ran about 5 laps with my other car...the '00 vspec N1 and managed a
30.589
58.602

woo woo, went from a 1'00.9 t2 to a mid 58 in 5 laps. I am proud of that.

Basically what everyone else is running...

'02 NUR with a very pretty much Z's settings. Looks like a default racing suspension with minor ride height tweaks is all many are using for smokin' times though... :^(

LOL. Nice T's yourself there.. competition is awesome this week! Still see a few tenths for me by deadline. I don't really know where they're coming from, but they're there. I keep scraping .0xx off every few laps somehow. Frustrating to say the least, but every little bit counts. Found that out back in week 5.

Well this is my first comp.
I am running the '93 V-spec N1 / 492hp

T1 31.802
T2 100.355

I have the trans on default for this lap I have tried extending second and third gears a bit because it seemed I was needing to shift mid corner a lot, but that ultimately slowed me down.

I have stiffened the rear spring rates a couple of ticks because in a 4wd car I like the rear to come around a bit faster to help counter the understeer.

I feel sure I can get a few more tenths off in section 2 as I am not very consistant with my brake points. :)
 
Leaderboard is updated and working again 👍

I managed to get a few more runs in, this time in the M-Spec, and improved from:

30.0 / 57.3

to:

29.970 / 56.905 (saw 29.7 / 56.8)

and improved by just a hair shy of 1.000 at the line :dopey:

It's gonna be close this week! :scared:

How do you do this? Instead of having a rebound and compression setting?

I've got a 58.2xx something T2 from a few runs last night. I'll get some new ones later tonight or tomorrow... I've got lots of room to go...

And, what's the deal with the M Spec Nur?! Isn't it 10kg heavier than the V-Spec2 Nur? Why are people using it? What's the difference between these cars in real life? Anyone know?

Off to play with Holl's settings... Possibly in a heavier M spec car... :indiff:

sorry,rebound 5/5 and bound 5/5, i just condensed it, and the M-spec is better, it seems to have better transmission than the V-spec.
i believe these settings r pretty close to optimal for this car, and also, auto at 10 (not 9).
 
Thanks to Z. and holl01 for posting their (very useful) settings... made leaps and bounds with my times yesterday (still nowhere near the front runners of Div 2, but that's to be expected)

T1 - 30.377
T2 - 58.106

Have done a second sector that should have meant that T2 was 57.9, but I must have lost it somewhere....

also, switched to M-Spec '02...

holl01... your auto setting, do you use the tranny trick? (your original post said Auto - 9 (tranny)... )

Anyway, i'll be attempting to lift my position, and seeing, as everyone did it to me too, i vote for Z to be promoted.

Meh, I switched into the M-Spec, it seems it has more torque among possibly other things...? I dunno. Anyway, I didn't beat my time that I put down last night, although, when I'm not tired I think I can do a good bit off of it. I was getting quite a bit ahead of it through turn one, and then through T1 I can chop at least .3 off of it, and then I don't know how much further than that .3 I can chop off of T2, probably another .3. On T1, I say a few 30.1xx, but I can't see how people are going through all of that much faster(28s!?!?).

And Holl01, are you really not touching the toe and the camber settings at all?
 
Hmm, nevermind, I see that no one is in the 28s for T1, so a 30.1x isn't bad at all, now if only I can make it a clean 30.1(I'll probably manage a high 30.2), and continue on the lap with that lead in hand(kept messin it up later in the lap and losing the ground I had made...).

But here are the times from last night that I didn't post in the post above:

hey guys, thnx to holl01'z setup ive been able to get a time im really happy with
only thing i didnt use from his setup was the 5/5 bound, rebound i left it at 4/4

ill try a brief little discussion of my lap.

- 246km/h at my braking point down to 3rd
- 3rd gear for turn 2, into a quick 4th
- 3rd gear for turn 3
- 4th gear for the "S" turns ( right side tires a little off into the dirt for the turn in )


t1 - 29.548

- 232km/h at my braking point down to 3rd
- 218km/h at the entry to the "S" turns, down to 3rd, then to a quick 4th in the middle and then back to 3rd


t2 - 56.347

- 3rd gear for both of the last 2 turns

Wait, this is confusing me, lol, you use 4/4 for front and 4/4 for the rear this means right? And what're you using for gearing? You're up a gear when compared with me in the last two turns, but that could just be because you don't want it to get out of hand... Are you using the regular tranny trick without any special effects? Where you move the final all the way to the right and then auto to 1 and then move the final back? What's your final at if so? I've been doing my tranny trick a way that I use to go faster on the drag strip, but it might not be optimal for this track... And are you going with 2/1 camber??
