I think Jerry and Ron have been doing some chatting regarding settings this week. Anywho....

I ran today for the first timefor about 30 minutes, the combo didn't really interest me after that, got somewhere in the region of 21.7//42.7. I can't remember the exacts, but this is more or less the crappy setup I knocked up.

This part seems interesting. I always switched down to third on the double-right after the start, and after T1, as well as for the 200-degrees sweeper. I also switched to 2nd for the hairpin... I guess I should stop doing so..

Could anyone post a guide or something? I'm still lost on this track.

You can take the first corner in 5th actually. But 4th is alright. Then I use 4th on the big sweeper and the last. Rest of the time it's 5th or 6th.

First corner in fifth... And I thought 4th was high. I checked, 4th on the big sweeper and the double-turn before it really is faster - less spin, and less time wasted on shifting. 4th on the Hairpin? Whoa.

Say, at what speeds do you usually cross the start-finish line? On good runs, I manage 250KM/h. On average ones, 247KM/h.

Not really, I've had a 21.05? with a 41.349 T2. There is more out there but I haven't the abilty to get it.

I use the directional & X button.

I saw a T1 of 21.070 but no other 21.0's and no faster than 41.4 at T2 so far ... my best speed crossing the line is around 252kmh my average is 250kmh

I use D-pad and x button and behind car kiddy view

Yeah, I'm definately slow with this combo and easily way too slow to keep up with D1 (I doubt even D2 or podiums in D3).

Any way, point is, I've submitted my time.
Although I'm not fond of Midfield, I found this race to be great fun. 👍

Not planned.
The Arcade Caterham probably has the worst gearbox in the game. Even the RX-8 has lovely short gears compared to it.
And being able to adjust the suspension is also almost compulsory.

So the car might be back, but still in GT Mode I think.

Ahhhh yes, that's right. Forgot about that. And for me, I like the stock suspension...? I have to try out some of the settings posted though I guess, see which ones may work better for me than standard and tinker from there.

Incorrect. I ran it on R4s a while ago, it handles like some magically-glued Go-Kart. Seriously, the only thing that made it loose traction was bumps...

Yeah, that's what I meant, it still flies.

Agreed. Although I'm using slightly taller than Auto 12 gearing because this thing has so much torque that I might be hitting higher speeds on the main straight than you guys. But then again, I might not be, maybe another thing I'll play with. The benefits of shorter gearing elsewhere may very well overcome the benefit on the main straight.

This week is simply a weirdo - since when are (doubtful) Div3ers so fast, and some Div1ers so slow?

Now, equipped with more knowledge and tips, I'll try it again... But I won't have time. Dad flies off for two weeks tomorrow. If the deadline was just a little later...

I sometimes use the roof/hood view, but ont this cat, the reflections distract me wayyy too much. It's a nice view when you can't see where you're going (Drifting)

By fitting a semi-race exhaust, 290HP are given with a Supercharger and fresh oil.

+ i suck at driving gt4
+ maybe pd was not too successful programming every car in the game
+ cyril will always come up with combo's that make div3 drivers feel like a fool

on the other hand, i took up the settings that brad so nicely passed to me in the backchannel and got an almost immediate t's/laptime improvement.

but i wonder what ben is doing this week - last week he won div2 and now he's at the bottom of luxy's ??? that's my spot remember ...

Don't think they had a problem with this car tho! Seems to me it handles about right for a hand-built roll-cage with wheels!
But seriously, these things are an absolute hoot to drive on a track, you should try it!
Pretty close to how it is in the game, all arse-happy till you overwhelm the fronts, then a nice safe slide into the kitty-litter!

Had a 20 lap session but couldn't beat my time....i dont understand how i can be behind so many Div3'ers (and not just by a little bit, im almost 2 seconds behind MINICOOPER120!!!) Are you sure you guys are using racing hard tires? lol
