Hitting 1,02.4-6?? everytime at T2.

No problem, there. I can do 1'02's. What I can't do (and can't see) is how it's possible to get 1'01's or even 1'00's.

I know I am not the best one out there, but I can't see how I can possibly be missing 2 whole seconds within one minute of race. I can get into the 0'29's at T1, so I should at least be able to hit 1'01's at T2. I just need to figure out how to do the chicanes right... I think there is where my problem rests...

Also, for shifting, how far into the "red zone" do you all go? I noticed that shifting a little bit after the redline seems to work better with this vehicle...

I just don't get it. After checking the sectors' location for both La Sarthe I & II in Arcade & GT Mode, my times would put me at the very bottom of the leaderboard. Yet, I'm X.XXX seconds faster than the gold standard time and it doesn't seem like EVERYONE's getting golds.

One quick question, is T1 under the "Gran Turismo" bridge/arch? Because that's where my T1 locates (based on GT/Arcade mode) and I had a 31.5xx, which would be retardedly slow.

Odd how your game isn't reporting splits ... really odd.

T1 is *JUST* before the right hander going into the long back straight ... perhaps a few tenths before.

And I think it would be fair in saying that the top ten (at least) in D3 all have gold, if that helps you judge your own pace at all.

BTW, if you can keep it secret, I'm happy to PM you my current final time ... it's not a great guide, being a D3er, but it's a fair D2 - I think - so I'd expect you to be able to run a little faster.

I don't know if I'll have enough time/skill to make it happen all tomorrow though... I'm shifting as far into the redline as possible on all gears exept 5th. In 5th I usually shift at about 190 mph. 👍

Arg! I said I wasn't going to try this again for a while, but I lied. Tried to get a few good laps in today and just let my best ever go to waste on the last chicane! Was actually somewhat on pace with the top drivers here and once I saw my T6, I started getting WAY too excited.

I'm way off pace at the moment but this car and this track is just so much FUN~! So easy to drive and yet so quick, and Le Sarthe/Le Mans/whatever = awesome (and easy, considering I just came off that R92CP 3-lap mission)

3 laps gives me a 2'22'xxx T5 (second-to-last one, whatever), but plenty of room to improve, I'm sure. (D3/DF)

Ewww... But I second that, especially with the wheel. That damn rubber coating works great...at least until it gets clammy with palm sweat!

Sure I look funny with my Nomex fireproof driving gloves, but they're comfy and grip great!

That rubber coating on the DFP burns your hand if you toss the wheel more than 180 degrees in a high speed manner without gloves. They should ship a nice pair of leather sparcos or something with the GT logo with the DFP. Sparco already did that playseat with a Sprint and the GT logo.

I've been improving my time by the hundreths but im gonna spend a couple of hours on getting it into the 2'46 - 2'47 area today. I have an apprenticeship interview first so i'll get back to it when I get home. I'm currently 8th out of all the division 3 drivers in this event. I'm going for a top 5 now lol.

I hear you, especially in the last turn, when I'm in "OMG! This lap is a whole second fas... *sand* FAIL!"-mode, which happens way too often, hehe.

A hail to the padded walls in my room, saved my controller's life plenty of times already. *twitch*

Gotta Love the WRS ...14 SECONDS off my previous best here (recorded the first day the Game was out & NO I'm NOT a "Gold Junky"...Bronze is just fine) on the very first Lap...then another HOUR & numerous "Excursions" into the sand to find another 7 SECONDS! THANX to CFM 👍 I now have 3 Golds! ...O.G.

For those of us you live in or around Portland right now I'm glad the temperature is in the 90s. Keeps me inside and GT4 and not outside sweating like a pig and trying to get the tan that I will never get.

The reason I haven't posted a new best time in a couple days (if any of you were wondering) is because I haven't been able to beat it. I'm close but not close enough.

Okay, who else prefers to leave their ghost off? The damned thing is too distracting for me. What I like to drive against is that 1/2 position readout at the top left of the screen to let me know whether or not I'm ahead or behind. Too bad that it doesn't work on the license tests if you load your best ghost from your memory card.

Now I have the added hassle of "peeking" at my ghost on the straights to see where I am throughout the lap.

One thing that still sometimes throws me is that on the DFP, pushing "up" on the D-pad isn't always easy and many times I get both "up" and either "left" or "right". That swings my whole field of vision like I'm checking my blindspot, and like in real life, sometimes I juke my steering just a tad. Even had this ruin a good lap a time or two... GRR!!!

Now if there were only a way to load a ghost replay over another replay at Replay Theater like the Performance Analyzer deal... I've had a few instances where this would have been a sweet option.

Well you've certainly taken the top group by surprise ... awesome splits truly worthy of a good D2 position (check the board man, there's a big gulf of D2ers between us and you now, lol).

And rest assured, you've set the bar higher than I was actually thinking I'd need to go, but I'm defintively going to be chasing it!
