If you buy an Evo VIII you'll lose all respect for Mustangs...but I highly recommend the Evo. When I die, I will be buried with the keys to mine. I love it that much. Good pick.

I heard they rock and I love their lines. Never driven one, but an associate tells me that they FLY. I need to get into the Japanese market though ... no offense to the American Muscle Car fans, but I just love the Japanese line much more.

Shoot, I'd do anything to have an EVO VIII or even a WRX STi. I like some of the American cars, and I like a lot of the Japanese cars. But I'm seriously in love with Europeans. Hell, I have 3 of them (selling 1 though). 1 more if you count the Focus as a Euro. Definitely not an American design. Fun to drive too. I love to transform it to RS spec.

we're both going to have to have a sleepless Monday night!!!
No joke!!! I'm going to try and get as far ahead as I can today though, we'll see how that goes.

But, so far today:

I'm HAIRLESS! I just finished pulling it all out. After chasing my ghost for 1.5 hours, I just was able to keep up with him through T4(was always at least a half a second behind him pretty much, it was definitely a lucky lap for the experience I had with the track so far), and then I went off the side, ON THE DAMN STRAIGHT!!!!!!! :ouch:  I would've knocked two seconds off of my final time with that run, and probably a second or so off of my T6. Damnit.

Know I'm going to go back at it and try and duplicate that ghost again or beat it... It's tough...

:scared:  :yuck:

I just realised that KLR142 is in div 2. I'm still in 12th, I just wrote down a wrong name. I'm flying through the 7th sector (t6 - finish line) so I reackon there's a good chance that i'm still in the top 10. Anyone wanna trade times via pm?

Tell me about it ... ANY distraction for me is a killer ... my partment mate just walks down the stairs? I skid off. Phone rings? Death to whatever lap I'm on. I need perfect quiet and peace, and even then my head sometimes goes drifting off into lord knows what ... "I wonder if Denise has moved in with her ... *SCREEEEEEEECH* Dammit :ouch: "

I just trimmed off .2 at the line, but with slower T's, which tells me that I can run better on the Ts and a strong finish for about 1 off at the line, at least.

I don't have a huge amount of time this afternoon and the apartment mate is going to be a problem, for sure, but later on I'm really going to try and push for a 2'43.xxx T6 ... which may be out of my reach, but it won't be for trying.

DOH! :D

Well, most of your new sector times are worse than your older sector times, but your T6 is so much faster :/ Hmpf, what on earth am I doing wrong there, I lose almost half a second in that sector...

Well, going to practise again then... :P

I know.. it's driving me crazy, because I had the chicanes down for the most part yesterday, but not today. I'm losing so much speed coming back onto the straight, but somehow always manage to catch my ghost because he brakes late. Been getting lucky.. on my most recent run, I clipped the sand at the very end of the Mulsanne and it nearly sent the car into a spin. Instead, it slowed me down just enough to get back on it and carry more exit speed. :embarrassed:

Have a good session.

ugh? i'm sorry I had a lot of soda at my little cousins birthday party today. I meant whichever person it is that I mentioned before that I thought was in div 3 but isnt.

LOL, that would be Large_Fryz, he is D2, I am D3.

And AHHHHH! Now I did a run that was going back and forth with my ghost, with a basically the same T6, but I got almost a half a second ahead of him after that and proceeded to overshoot the second to last chicane. I need some more hair to pull out. I'm eating my bag of pretzels very fast... It's a big one too... Not good, must hide pretzels... Eating a lot and sitting on a couch = not good for physical appearence...

I just had the same ... two runs back to back, both with the same T6 but stronger finishes ... and - in being more aggressive - I took her off on various corners. At least today I'm not getting worked up about it ... Thursday I was screaming and shouting and wanting to smash things, but yesterday and today I feel more mellow and it's making me drive faster ... which is good.

Found two corners where I can carry more speed tackling them a slightly different way, just haven't been able to carry this through for an entire lap yet.

Look at it this way, at least the pretzels aren't fattening. You could be eating cakes. If you did that, you couldn't get in the Bentley.

💡 Eat more cakes everyone!!

Argh another hour spent, and it seems like i just can't make the final chicane today. Every single lap today that has been about 1 second faster i've lost it in the final chicane and failed. Oh well lots of time today to keep plugging at it.

Edit: Nope today is not my day. A whole 1.4 seconds quicker than my previous best at T6 and then i completely, and oh do i mean COMPLETELY, blotch the final section, and even drop half the car into the sand at the exit of the final chicane :ouch: :ouch: :ouch:
At the line, only managed to beat my previous best by .3 seconds.

T1: 0'29.182
T2: 1'00.764
T3: 1'26.496
T4: 1'47.795
T5: 2'14.750
T6: 2'42.565 (It was going oh so well up to this point too! every sector was a personal best)

Edit 2: Oh looks like i pressed the reply button instead of the edit button... Just an example of how bad my day has been :)

Yeah, I've gotten some corners where I have the capability of going faster... Actually, I just pulled out a 2'44.xxx T6, (with one BAD exit, but decent everywhere else), and then I, as Alpine, hit the sand on the exit of the final chicane, just BARELY, and I got sideways and tapped the wall right before the line(well, I think I tapped it, I didn't fail though), and I was ahead of my time by 1.4 seconds, and that was already .6+ ahead of my previous best. I'm on a roll, this power session is paying off, I'm very close to where I can go, I can feel it...

Lmao, I love the R/L aspect we bring into this, freakin hilarious! :) But sorry man, I can definitely still fit in my Bentley... If I need to, which MIGHT be a possibility, I'll do a few situps and go for a bike ride real quick so I can *squeeeeeeeeze* myself back in. Actually, I should do that, but I'm on a roll, can't stop...

*Tosses palm pilot back to pit manager and straps back in for more... :sly: *

EDIT: This course has been VERY much like the ring for me, but it's a bit shorter so I'm FINALLY starting to get the hang of it. And Nat, yeah about the screaming and etc... I was like that an hour ago, but I'm finally getting the hold of it. So now if I mess up, it's just hop into the backup car real quick and GO, no worries in my mind...

Pewp, guess you're going to be putting pressure on me and Rot then, eh? :/ And for a moment I was shining soooooo brightly. You better not pip me to the post by another .5 seconds!

Oh for sure! :sly: Lol. But here's what I'm done with for today, I've spent much too much time on it today... :guilty: On the run that I messed up the final chicane, my T6 was 2'44.700, quite nice I'd say! But yeah, I chopped a second off of that run's final time with this run(2'44 run in quotes is NOT legal):
T1 29.543(29.371)
T2 1'01.150(1'01.463)
T3 1'26.780(1'27.420)
T4 1'48.560(1'49.359)
T5 2'16.226(2'16.399)
T6 2'45.100(2'44.700)

But I'm satisfied with that run for now. I might not even play anymore for this week's race, but when I get pressured enough, and enough people pass that, I'll give in and play my heart out... I know it's going to happen, and I know I'm not as fast as I can go, but I need a break.

Maybe I'll go for that bike ride now, it's cool out, but not too cool...

EDIT: Yikes, Nat, I just went and looked at the leaderboard and noticed that at T3 and T4 I was more than a second ahead of you... What happened!?

Okay, I had some great splits here and I'm fairly happy with it, but I want to chase a sub 2'44 time so I'm going to keep on driving.

.2 better at the T6 split.

T1: 29.244
T2: 1'01.309
T3: 1'27.274
T4: 1'48.989
T5: 2'16.139
T6: 2'44.277

Your splits, btw KLR, are really nice ... I like them quite a bit! (Wish I could run something like that, but I've spent an hr just pushing for this!).

Heheheh, yeah, not sure what gives with that. I've got the gap down, but it's still .4 to .5 ... so you must be carrying slightly more speed into the straight and definitively driving those chicanes smoother than me!

DANG, Nat! You're probably more than a second ahead of me at the finish line then... Are you taking the last chicane flat out? I haven't had that much experience at the end of the track yet still, as our T times suggest... Argh. I'm pooped for today, will attack tomorrow morning before work, and then of course, Monday night........

I can't hit it flat out ... I mean, I'm straightening it somewhat, but "flat out"? Probably not ... "accelerating through it"? Yeah, probably. But I can save time here and I know it.

And I really hate driving on a Monday night, I really like taking that off and just driving the game, some missions or something, but I suspect that I'm not going to create a gap between me and you guys that I can just sit on!

Kolyana
but I suspect that I'm not going to create a gap between me and you guys that I can just sit on!
I think you already have actually... Look at the only people who are faster than you at T6... Lol, nice times girl, I don't think I'm going to be touching them. I can accept a slightly slower time this week... First definitely seems out of my reach, but I might try for a second/third. Depending on who out there isn't posting and what not...

And I might take a look see at the write up that Z(?) or Vexd(? I can't remember who wrote it) wrote a few days ago. I haven't checked it out yet.

I want another .4-.6 off at T6 and at least 1.0 at the line ... I really will not be happy unless I achieve this :P

And I think Vex did a write up, but so did someone else. With the splits you're getting, I'm sure that you already know what they have to say, but I suspect that it's simply experience with the back end of the course.

*gasp*

Okay, my hands are slightly raw, my back hurts, and my eyes are unfocused...finally some times worth posting, though I just can't seem to bag that elusive perfect lap :grumpy: Hopefully some faster times tomorrow if I can fit something in before the GP

T1 - 0'29.681
T2 - 1'02.131
T3 - 1'28.188
T4 - 1'50.013
T5 - 2'17.805
T6 - 2'45.835

Off to the press conference...err...bed 👍

Still not getting the esses, but getting quicker...

T1 - 0:29.353 slid through esses :ouch:
T2 - 1:00.745 can still be quicker
T3 - 1:26.186
T4 - 1:47.715
T5 - 2:14.875
T6 - 2:43.178

Took it easy in the last sector not wanting to ruin a good time, could have hit 42's, really nailed the last two chicanes :)

Some of you D2ers are so impressive ... I'm driving my heart out here and can't match that sort of T6 split!

Finally, splits good enough to show: :embarrassed:

T1: 29.144
T2: 1'01.520
T3: 1'27.251
T4: 1'49.065
T5: 2'16.207
T6: 2'44.157

Lost traction coming out of the last chicane so I'll give myself another .3 secs to beat.

Bad splits, don't even bother looking at them ... I'm really struggling to keep up with my own damned ghost at the moment ... but made it up on T6 and finally broke into the 2'43.xxx mark :)

T1: 29.733
T2: 1'01.884
T3: 1'27.706
T4: 1'49.231
T5: 2'16.093
T6: 2'43.992

For your other sectors, T5 is the one that stands out to me... You get through there more than a tenth faster than I and I was almost 7/10ths ahead of you at T4...

Oh and Nat, I meant to say one second on the other thread, I fixed it. You'll be the one that's two seconds ahead of my current final time... I'm pretty damn sure you're already there...
