Doesn't count as a typo, since you were, technically, correct: More than 15 cars are eligible. Now get one and pass me and Steven. This is a command.

I'l have to try this out when I get home. I love kei cars. Use to do massive time trails to see which was faster. Both in stock and full tune.

And yes, the EA21R is where it is at for speed, though I have my personal fav as well.

ok here it is. i just copied it from gtvault and added some spaces in notepad. don't be fooled by the 64 hp figures, it's 64 bhp equalling (!?!?!?!) 63 hp. the table is sorted on ptw and i only give the best/most probable choices.

You forgot the Daihatsus... You'll find that there are a few that are right up there ptw wise... ;-) And those are all stock weight figures, meaning ptw ratios may favor certain cars when the weight is taken off. (Maybe? My head isn't on far enough to think that hard)
 
This was not the race I was hoping for, what I wanted was GT mode with my Subaru 360:D.
Anyways I will give this a try and see how I do.
 
OK i just had a go in the Cappuccino (EA21R) '95

T1: 24.240
T2: 44.576

And oh yeah, 4th gear all the way :)

Will try some other cars tomorrow after working a few things out
 
In GT Mode when you take the Copen and lower it and put bigger looking wheels on it, it doesn't look half bad for a roundy roundy car! Alas, in Arcade mode we're stuck with the puny looking wheels and stock ride height. And I can only see myself getting a 46.3-4ish at T2. So far only done a 46.6...

Moving onto the next car on my list before the Cup of Chino... Also a Daihatsu.
 
Blah. So much for that car... That was the MIRA TR-XX Avanzato R '97... It weighs 90kg less than the version of the Copen that I was driving, has one more horsepower(63 vs 62), and 8 less lb. ft. of torque(73 vs 81)... You'd think it'd be at least as fast with the much better ptw ratio!

Think again.

The '02 Copen has more grip, maybe because of the tires, maybe because of the lower center of gravity, maybe because of the suspension design... Not only that, but it's slower in a straight line. I found that the MIRA runs much more boost than the Copen, meaning that the Copen probably has a decently higher static compression ratio, meaning better off boost performance... Or maybe the engines are different sizes.

In any case, back to the drawing board! Don't want to give into the Cup just yet... :sly:

I tried this tonite and here is what I got.

T1-24:1xx
T2-44:6xx

And one thing I have found about race's like these are everyone will use the fastest
car, I think thats why I like GT mode better because I don't the Suzuki would be the fastest.

Hear are the correct ones, slower, but none the less, correct:

T1: 24.961

T2: 46.371

Naruto! Hell yes! Just noticed that. Tis a shame that it's all filler and sometimes just completely random BS that they have now...

Anywho, the Beat is a LOT more competitive than I thought it would be! Quite a bit harder to drive than most of the other cars, but if you're good enough to maintain speed, it's pretty quick. A lot quicker than I thought it'd be with such a drastically lower amount of torque, and not super lightweight at over 684kg... The gearbox is close ratio, so it doesn't drive like most of the other cars, it actually shifts pretty quick, and is able to use 5th gear. Compared to the Copen, it's basically as fast in a straight line, but it loses a lot to the Copen in braking. This BEAT seems like it has really skinny tires on it, but it manages to maintain speed because of it's MR layout. If ONLY it had a tiny bit better grip it'd be right there with the Capaccino.

Weird thing I'm noticing, and I want at least one of you to check as well... It will NOT let me use the 93 BEAT in Arcade mode?!?!? WTF!? What if the 93 had slightly more updated suspension/brakes/tires? I've only taken out the 91 so far, and the 92 seems to have the same, different wheels that the 93 does(but no wing), so maybe it's faster than the 91. Just noticed that now, so I'll go see what's up. I'm down to 46 flat in the 91 so far... Fingers crossed for more speed in the 92! (93 doesn't even appear in the arcade mode, and yes, I went and bought on in GT Mode, even hopped in it for a quick lap around a track, still nothing...)

EDIT: Nope, 92's not any faster, it just comes with an uglier color and slightly better wheels... I like the yellow of the 91 better, but preferably with the 93's wheels and wing!(and grip??? :sly:)

I think that's about it for the BEATs for me. Time for the Cappaccino.

Give me a case of red bull and an extra 3 days to do this and ill be faster than Div 1:sly:
 
Got me some new splits and yes still using one gear. :D
I saved .283 at the line from my old splits and i still think there is at least one tenth in there for me.

First of all... What an AWESOME car this is!!! It's sooooo beautifully balanced at these specs, good grip, predictable, tossable, neutral, PERFECT. I love it! Except for the way it looks and it's limited choice of colors... It doesn't look too bad, but it could be better. But man. WHAT A DRIVE?!?!

Second of all. Ren-Tec, great T1 man!!!

Third of all... Wow. I've been going at this for a good long while. Haven't played GT like this in a good while, whittling away thousandths anyway. My thumb's killing me, it sure doesn't get much of a break doing this! I've been faster here, faster there, and was hoping to get that ONE lap that I wouldn't be able to ever beat tonight, but it seems that's not to be so... :( This is my fastest clean lap so far, I've been faster at T2 multiple times, but I just can't get the last corner down like I did on this lap. I sure hope I can get a lap that's up to my expectations everywhere before the week's over!

T1: 24.177
T2: 44.440
T3: 2 seconds faster than the BEAT, which is almost 2 seconds faster than the Copen Detachable... :sly:
 
Thanks Kyle and i think your fastest with that T2 and im glad to see you back Ben. Oh and im in Division one now too and doing ok so far 👍
Also iv see a T2 of 44.386 but had the same problem as Kyle :(
 
Yeah, my posted T2 is the fastest so far... :sly: Been faster more than a couple times... Just haven't been able to tie that last turn into as nice of a mild drift like I did on this current lap. I decided to sit down for a little bit more after I saw your lap, and saw myself do a 24.084 T1, so I guess it's not as far fetched as I first thought it was. I hadn't been paying attention to the T times when I was lapping because I knew I was near the top so I was just going for final lap times.

But, after one lap I decided that I should stop for tonight. My thumb's killing me and I need to download songs and then burn them onto a CD for a co-worker before I get ready for bed...

👍:sly: Some super tight racing this week... I can feel it! I feel like I'm at my limit already(well, within a few tenths), it's quite easy to get close to your limit this week. Now it's going to feel like racing in the Board Challenges... Whittle whittle whittle! Every thousandth counts! :dopey:

:) Darn. If I'm lucky, I'll get to just above where you are now. My best T2 tonight was 44.308, with two .325s. I don't think I'll be able to get into the .200s, but who knows how much time I'll actually spend on this...
