GT4 WRS Week 82: "Get out your Kei car car keys!"

thanks to the 'nut' i tried the cappu out in MT. i do get back to 3rd twice but otherwise it's 4th all over the place.

& again .6 off the laptime towards a new low seconds mark.

Your replay will be checked before the results become official so don't stress out :) Go and take a few laps in the Cappuccino, that'll calm you down :sly: tup:
 
jake, probably just a ntsc/pal difference in hp/bhp counts. if you're using the same car that we do, there's nothing to worry about. BUT if you do the 95 cappu and change the hp figure in the power + - settings then i think you're off-limits.
 
The +2 option shows 64 hp on all boards and the replay. It looks like that would be legal. If I keep the power at 0 the HP is 63. I hope Colby pipes in to let us NTSC guys know what the deal should be...

Finally got the hang of it. I know I could probably pull another tenth or two off, but can't seem to get everything working perfectly like that last one there.

I think you're supposed to leave it stock and subtract all weight, check the first post...
 
What should the replay say? 63 or 64? If the PAL replay says 64 with 0 power and the NTSC shows 63 with 0 power then something seems out of whack.

Don't worry, in pal it says 63hp ok and the power should be stock +or- 0
 
My bad. It clearly says 0 in the rules. the NTSC / PAL thing always seems to create a gray area. settings are back to 0. I think I am getting senile. :dunce:

Pretty sure there's no difference between versions this week. Your replay should say 63hp and it should be the same in the tuning window too 👍

Beatch. Don't worry, I'll be back on the PS2 today, I'll finally get rid of the downshifts (dropped to third on most corners, 2nd for the T1!), which should, approximately, cut at least 0.5, perhaps more, by T2.

EDIT2: 0'45.293. WTF? 0.001 faster, that's weird. But this whole week is very close.

Still about 0.3-0.4 in it for me. On this lap, I had a nice roundabout, but I ran a little wide (2nd lane, not the inside one) which cost me a bit. Didn't get the T1 corner perfect, but not bad, either (still quicker than before). The one after T2 was absolutely nailed - got within inches of the wall. Last corner was pretty good - didn't drop below 97KM/h, I think (best so far: didn't go below 100KM/h). If I re-nail the last corner, I'll get another tenth out of it.

I hope to do it about half a sec better.
What is your oppinion about perfect shifting? I think it is 7000 rpm exactly.

Over a second taken off at the line too so I should be able to shave a few more tenths off yet. 👍

With that pace, you should worry about the tenths... even a clean 0'44.7 with an average T2-finish will beat my lap, which is the current best in D3.

EDIT: Seems like you've got a typo, since you're D2 in the Qualifier thread - with a mighty quick lap, too!

I do use the older DF Wheel though....that I'm sure of...:)

You got me scared for a second, I'm hoping for a promoting win this week...

EDIT: BTW, Demotions don't usually take place. Your current pace is mid-division, so you should have nothing to worry about.
 
With a 44.3 you're miles in front of me and I'm usually mid to low division 2 so you're looking pretty good Gt3Emperor, I wouldn't worry mate, especially if you've been out of it a while. 👍

No clean improvements to my lap although I've seen a 44.2 T2 time so I'll be racing till the deadline, (as close as I can get to it and still sleep anyway). :D

It's probably because he's using a wheel. Maybe. More smooth = more speed. We'll see if I have a chance to get back at the top, dunno if I'll have time though.

Oh, and GT3Emperor, you're doing VERY well... I don't see where you really "need to get it together". 👍
 
I just can't figure the first sector......I'm losing too much time in there...?

Yeah, 20.024 from T1 to T2.....I hadn't noticed that earlier, I feel a little better....guess I'm doing something right. That's why I'm not clear on why I'm running such a 'dog slow' first sector.

That was a clean, flat-out lap on the '95 cappuccino, but I'm still slow. :/ Time to try MT, perhaps?
