hmm! im not realy sure if the rules are clear enough? so everywere there is no rumble strip its aloud to drive?

like.

1* on the dusty tarmac on sides of big straight? and everywere its only dusty tarmac?

2* after the chicanes the rumble strip beginning in the end of the corner exit, can i go on outer side before rumble strip beginns?

i think there are some questions still remaining!

;)

as long as there are no rumble strips you can use all the tarmac you can find. if there are rumble strips 2 wheels must be not beyond those. that's it.

to the luxyupdaterers
36.566 - 1.17.080 - 1.48.958 - 2.15.150 - 2.48.832 - 3.24.800

still loads of time to be found at every corner, especially in the second half of the track. only 2.15 secs away from my lap goal of the week.

Allowed.

Allowed.

Look at the pic in post #1.
There is a rumble strip, so I can ride on it but I have to keep 2 wheels in contact with it. The car couldn't have had 2 wheels in the sand (on the left side of the picture) and 2 wheels on the tarmac between the sand and the rumble strip.
Yet, if there was no rumble strip at this particular place, 2 wheels in the sand would have been allowed.

I think it makes sense to consider the rumble strips are track boundaries, and to allow any tarmac area when there is no rumble strip. That's what I would do in real life anyway if I had to drive on this track : I wouldn't cut through turns and ignore rumble strips.

Hmm... I'm miles behind any sort of pace, the only thing I could beat were Steven's old splits. I hate those chicanes with a passion, I always brake to early for them. I think I'll have to skip this week and toy around with the Mine's somewhere else, because being so slow + getting DREs isn't much fun... And I can't stand loosing my lap after 2+ minutes.

Wow! It's amazing how a different car will change your perception of a track. I figured I would quickly be up to speed given all the miles I've driven here. But as I kept falling off the track it dawned on me that the only cars I have driven here are LMP's and GT1's and about the only useful information that gives me is knowing which direction the next turn is. :ouch:

Oh well, decided to start with TCS to concentrate on racing line and braking points - will deal with throttle control later :scared:

These are my splits - not too bad through T2 but having a bit of a struggle hitting braking points for Indianapolis, Arnage and Porsche:

T1 35:147
T2 1:13:677
T3 1:45:260
T4 2:10:610
T5 2:42:965
T6 3:18:174

And I thought I was doing so good, too.... :yuck:

I can't run this until the weekend. Work is getting in the way . It doesn't stop me from being a spectator though. :)

pffff. thats it for today i think;)

T1 34,604
T2 1'13,187
T3 1'43,696
T4 2'08,781

Lost more time in the beginning! will try to find it tomorrow:)

t6 3'11.551 after a very qick session, much more left though, will be back with a complete set of splits

Just to try out the combo, I spent 20 min on it, I wasn't sure of the rules so I go by what Curtis and I go by while at Bobkarts :D -> no reds:

3:16.377

May get back to it later in the week, great splits so far guys!

Jerome

T3: 1'45.865
T4: 2'11.548
T5: 2'44.143
T6: 3'18.492

Totaly clean this time. I'm super happy with this run. Thats all for me for tonight.

I have a feeling that this isn't too fast, I can probably knock off another two seconds yet. I like this combo much more than the last one.

T1: 35.927
T2: 1'14.951
T3: 1'45.572
T4: 2'10.905
T5: 2'42.761

How do u ppl find 4 second or more in DIV1!

That's what I want to know, anyways here are some new spilts.

T1-34:947
T2-1:13:792
T3-1:44:233
T4-2:09:572
T5-2:41:436
T6-3:15:250

It's taking time but I'm getting a idea how to drive on the track.

how u do it? rocket launchers on the back of ur nissan:)?

haha, na mate, trial and error, see what works for each corner, look at ur speedometer to make this easier, as u can take note of the speed when u feel like u've nailed a corner, then try and link it all up in one lap. look at the speedo in each corner, thats a sure way to be a fast gt4 driver:tup:

Well I knocked off about two seconds, dunno how much more I can do.

I've found that staying in third helps on many of the slower corners.

What gearing is everyone in? I'm using the default, never bothered to change it.

T1: 35.291
T2: 1'14.199
T3: 1'44.934
T4: 2'10.032
T5: 2'41.822
T6: 3'15.439

You can't change it actually, it's still a street car. 👍

I had a two lap go at this this morning, managed a 3'18 something on the second lap... Not perfectly clean, but damn close. I'mma play for a bit now and see if I can get something clean and faster. Don't want to stay up too late though! :)

Well, did a 3'17.8xx clean, and I think that's going to be it for tonight. Lots more to come this weekend, no worries.

This car isn't setup very well for this track though... I'm not a fan of what the differentials do, lol. It's like a high powered FWD car with torque steer in real life. I drove my 860hp M-Spec Nur to get the money to buy this car, now that thing was nuts. This Mines pales in comparison. It just consumes ground so fast everything else looks like it's standing still. Well, at least the cars on the Easy Special Conditions Amalfi rally... Haha.

found another second but still way above all the others ... never mind, still enjoying it a lot.

36.405 - 1.17.392 - 1.48.941 - 2.15.250 - 2.48.076 - 3.23.521

I'm finding it hard to stay on the track this week, I need practice with this DFP
