And what do you mean by that:).

Edit:
It was the upshift paddle the failed, not the wheel it self.

you cant drive that fast for long before things start fallin apart.

busted out a pair of nearly identical T's and carried it through the last corner as well, good for annother .2 off at the line.

I'm starting to have trouble going faster now. Does this thing like to be short shifted? if so i may have to give manual a try. Dont know how that will go over though. (I really cant manage the manual with the DS2, too many fingers trying to do too many different things i guess.)

KLR142
Div.3 my azz. :sly:

Hey, I have nothing to do with that, and... oh wait, thats with 2 z's... I see now :dunce:

Anyhow, finally got some time between school, work and programming. Oh, and working on my 40k army.

Some splits after an hour or so...

T1 - 24.092
T2 - 43.626

Way too easy to lose track of time on this one. And I do like the Amuse, though I can see where the understeer complaints can come in. But its a seriously well balanced car that just rewards the driver, I am getting it sideways when I want it to be :P

well still slowest together with dan but now i broke the 46" barrier so there's hope for improvement over the week ...

25.050 - 45.107

best fun this week is that after the tunnel righthander you can full-throttle all the way till the final left and that jerry allows us to kick the cones giving a tiny bit extra space plus the fun of seeing them flying around and sometimes only come off the car after quite a while 👍

EDIT improved by a further .8 at t2 and a full second at the finish :)

arora here i come ;)

Some not-so-quick splits:

T1 - 24.302
T2 - 44.132

Had a sub-44 T2 later in that run, but since I thought I bounced it off the tunnel wall, I deep-sixed that run.

I hate these kinds of races. I was supposed to be in the shower getting ready for bed an hour ago... :grumpy: :P 👍
I can already tell you guys are going to top all of the mods who preceeded you.
In some ways. All have their strengths and weaknesses, :P.

New splitz.
T1: 24.012
T2: 43.588
T3: .623 faster :sly:

Had a quick go with the DS2. Managed these times on like lap 7 lol, spent the next 15 tryin to beat it but didnt get close.

24.0xx
43.6xx

Still more left but i cant drive with DS2 at all. Really need to get the PS2 set back upto the cockpit if i want any real chance this week.

I have 3 saves all within .1 of my best T1 split and all within .011 at the finish line :( one of them even has a 43.308 at T2 which is 1 + 1/2 tenths slower than my best  lots of laps and not much gained overall :grumpy:

Will try again tonight before the men in white coats come and collect me :dopey:

Average first session splits,

T1 - 24.276
T2 - 44.110

Maybe another .3/.4 left in it for me.

lol, well after some time spent on this cool combo, i have reach a time of like,

23.660
43.121

messed up t1-t2 completely
went wide approachng t2 also

Nice track. I don't think I have raced on it at all except where required during the course of the game. I did some laps after qualifying for the WRS and I'm pretty happy so far

T1: 24.172
T2: 43.703

Just slipped under 45 at T2. Not great but I'm not exactly expecting much. :sly:
Where's that put me? Somewhere similar to last time I suppose (in between D2 and D3). :D

Great looking lap times going around.
Amazingly fun race as well. 👍

Little piece of trivia for some of you who might not know the Amuse R1 too well...
When you buy an Amuse R1 in GT Mode and go to the settings menu, the Sports Suspension of the Amuse (original equipment) is set to a Camber level of 4.0/4.5.

That might be part of why this machine is so awesome.
Of course, the Best Motoring Touge races may have influenced PD during the course of GT4's development.

You know, I was noticing the camber in watching my replays... But WOW! That's a lot. A very lot.

Would also explain the understeer.

I was guessing that high from the replays though. Thats kinda typical for a street/track kinda car.

Another hour and I knocked a whole .009 lap off my best save with these splits ..

23.728 / 43.220 :(

I want that lost tenth so much it will surely drive me mad :P
Insane fun ;)

Small improvement for me, haven't ran enough to get comfortable yet :dopey: I'll run some more this afternoon.

24.495
44.333

just race this race as well as the qualifier, submit and the steward will sort it all out for you. dont forget to put a real effort into the m3/infineon combo tho, as that'll determine your class for now. good luck!

Hey BigRacer, I did not see this when you first posted it. Thanks for your help.

It does not like to be short shifted. :yuck:

Saw a 43.8 T2 but i think there was some wall contact in the tunnel, although the anilyzer dosnt show anything. dosnt matter any way, my current time is .1 faster than that run was anyway.

That's definatly an hard A T1 to figure... can see .8XX but .6 I've no idea how to get it... are you guys using 2 wheels on grass to maximise the corner before the tunnel?

It does not like to be short shifted. :yuck:
Well, that depends on how short and from which gear to which gear... I've found that there's really no point to rev it to the max going from 4th to 5th gear.

Ron got a run down of the lap? mainly what gear for what corner?

Please :D

Just did a little of this, and soon enough I managed these times:
T1:24.445
T2:44.459
I think that puts me close to sjaak, until I manage a bit better.

It's good to have more time to do this stuff, now that I have more time to do my homework in school. :)

Here's a quick description of how I drive this combo just for Fryz :P using NTSC and showing mph btw ...

Before you start the lap take the final bend before the finish straight in 3rd gear and apply the throttle with a nice line to keep constant speed gear up to 4th at 92mph and take a wide line to the far pit wall to gather momentum ... you should cross the line at a nice 130mph in 5th ... head down towards turn 1 still in 5th gear and mount the rumble to the right and apply the brakes and drop to 4th gear and take a nice line to the middle of the turn and then drop to 3rd with a tiny stab of brake to get the tight left turn on the exit then accelerate and gear to 4th.

Head towards the tunnel in 4th gear and mount the rumble strips on the right hand side with 2 wheels on the grass and the other 2 nicely on the rumblestrips and a tiny stab of brake and find a line over to the far left rumble strip and continue onto the pavement entering the tunnel still in 4th gear and hold it to not contact with the wall ... ( hard as hell to get correct everytime so the error rate is pretty high .. basically it's an all or nothing move to get the 23.6 T1 :P ) continue through the tunnel driving over to the far lefthand wall pass by T1 and brake exactly where the left hand pavement cuts in abruptly and whilst rolling the car around the turn ..gear down to 2nd for the turn and full throttle.

Gear up to 3rd after exiting the tight turn and then whilst crossing over the rumbles on the next left corner gear upto 4th gear and keep a nice steady line up and over the hill and tuck into the tiny ridge at both lefthand and righthand turns gearing up to 5th as you cross T2 heading towards the final bend.

When approaching the final turn you want to head towards the righthand side rumble and brake as your car meets it and drop gears to 3rd and try to roll around the turn perfectly without touching the inside ridge of rumble and keep momentum going and drive over the far right hand rumble gearing up to 4th gear exactly as the car leaves it ... let the car have the same straight line and it will head over towards the far pit wall and gear up to 5th just as you meet the pitwall and cross the line with a pretty reasonable time 👍

Hope this is legible and helps 👍

Good stuff Ron :) I've been taking the left before the tunnel in 3rd ... I'll give 4th a try next session 👍

Maybe it's just me, but I'd love to see a race where you have to keep all four wheels on the "track", instead of just two. I'm less and less interested in figuring out just the right way to drop wheels off :P

First session splits. Enjoying and hating this one in equal measure at the moment. :)

T1 25.022
T2 44.934

With an OK'ish finish. I've thrown away a perfectly good 44.0 at T2 already, outbraked myself into the final turn, 🤬's! I may be able to slip slide my way into the 43's before submission day, you never know, it might happen. :dopey:

Darren.

i'm not sure what u mean by this, i hug the isnside all the way to the finish line, some new splits (.611/.039) still not happy with this lap.

I let the car take its own line crossing over the track to the pitt wall without twitching about on the final straight due to hugging the rumbles and I find the cross the startline speed is greater ... To each his own mate! great splits btw 👍

I just beat my best lap again but not by much :( here's my final splits as I'm done with this one ... 23.721 / 43.177

Good luck to all in the results 👍

Time submitted
